  1. Elliott is still only 21. Neither Silva or, erm, Silva moved to City until they were 23 / 24, Bernardo wasn’t a hit straight away. I like Elliott, he’s a tidy play with a good spirit. You might well be right and he might never hit those levels, however, time is still on Elliott’s side.
  2. Onto the final 3 episodes of Silo 2. Still not feeling it. I hope Solo dies a quick & quiet death, his winey, child like voice has done my head in all series. He’s like Sebastian in Blade Runner, he was an annoying prick as well. Only Sebastian was in the film 5/10 mins before he was supposedly killed by Roy, Solo has been a major character in for 6 of the 7 episodes so far.
  3. Yeah, the original should have ended when Ragnar died, maybe his first son. That Boneless character was ridiculous. Never watched the Netflix shows.
  4. Point 1 - I’ve asked multiple times and I’m still waiting…. Point 2 - Yes, I would. That post didn’t answer anything I asked, nor has it answered the other 2 very specific questions of which other owners would you have over ours and have looked at the most successful clubs since 2011? I’ve asked you these 3 times now.
  5. As I said above, if anybody can think of somebody better, I’m all ears. I’d also argue I’m only a cunt to people who are a cunt to me first…
  6. To reiterate the point of this thread, I want them to all stay and wish all parties woild get on with it!
  7. I don’t disagree with that. As Klopp said, I think we should be a bit less risk averse at times. However, if you look at the current squad, there are no holes in it, maybe a back up midfielder. We have 2 really good players in every position. I know it’s not cool to criticise him, Klopp needs to take some of the blame for our title defence & post-Paris season as well. It was his mantra “First choice or nothing” and he had money which he didn’t spend on positions that looked obvious (ie >£110m on Nunez & Gakpo when we needed a midfielder). Look at Arsenal last night - a midfielder at right back, a full back at centre back, a 17 year old at left back and their 4th choice attacker playing. We’d bring in Bradley, Gomez / Quansah, Robbo / Tsmiskas & Jota / Nunez. All international players, playing in their right position. Our squad is really good, just look at the match winning changes we made yesterday.
  8. They aren’t perfect, I struggle to see anybody better. If anybody can name a better set of owners, I’m all ears, yet nobody seems to be able to make any sort of argument for anybody else. I asked this question in the summer, somebody said Tony Bloom. He’s the only owner I’d have a conversation about, he has a similar data led approach to what we do and has obviously made Brighton a top side. I do think being owner of Brighton is significantly easier than owners of Liverpool.
  9. Fuck me, that would send a glass eye to sleep. There are some reasonable points there, shame there are some incredibly blinkered view & the rest of what you post is so tedious, nobody will care.
  10. I’m not asking for that. I’m asking for which owners you’d prefer over ours, so an owner currently running a club. It’s a simple question. Also, have you looked to see which teams have been more successful than us since 2011?
  11. Last season was probably a number of the new players first title challenge of their career, or certainly playing regularly in one. The players are all a year older, more experienced, we’ve already seen improvements in the players more or less across the board this season… hopefully it’ll continue.
  12. As Carra said, how bad must Spurs be defensively if the 2nd lowest scorers in the league are ripping you to shreds…
  13. Their crying over the handball last night is great.
  14. All these cup games are getting on my pip… well, they aren’t, not really, I’d just prefer a run of 7 uninterrupted league games where we could, hopefully, pull further away.
  15. There was a job to work with Spearman advertised a bit ago, I posted it in here, given how many know-it-alls there is on the forum, I’d be amazed if Hughes and Edwards weren’t swamped with CV’s from here…
  16. Summary… Libpool, Libpool, top the league!!!
  17. Although I’m sure yesterday sat quieted some of those nagging doubts, we must follow it up with 3 points v Ipswich next weekend. Bournemouth are in a great moment at present, that will be a really tough game. They’ll be confident based on their current run and results already v City & Arsenal. I do think it might suit us playing them a little, they always have a go. Hopefully we can exploit the spaces.
  18. Code posted this yesterday… …so we’re 2 points better off with a game in hand. Arsenal are the same. We kept up the good form until March and then fell away, while City & Arsenal went on long winning runs.
  19. In saying all this, like when Hughes was appointed, I wish we’d hurry the fuck up with these contracts.
