Totally agree it’s was unforgivable.

Injuries or not the way we stared that game yesterday was unforgivable. We should have been bang up for it especially after what happened in the game at goodison but we started terribly and were 2nd to everything in the 1st half. It’s been a long time since you can say Everton wanted it more than us in a derby but they did in that 1st half which basically sealed our fate.

Hopefully Fabinho & Jota are back for this one. Need to stop playing midfielders in defence, pick 2 from kabak/Davies/Phillips Fabinho/Thiago/Keita salah/jota/mane

Moshiri already plunged 600m of his own cash into Everton (150m to buy his 77% share and 450m in director loans which apparently he willing to write 100m of that debt off to take his ownership up to over 90%) and is willing to put another 100m towards the new stadium. 700m invested + they’re gonna take on 300m in debt to fund it. Crazy

We didn’t realise it as we somehow managed to plod through until Xmas which in this delayed season was the equivalent of the end of November (game 14) but once We lost vvd & Gomez for the season we were done. Losing our 2 best defenders meant losing our 2 best midfielders which has decimated our best 11. That’s beyond out control but we also fucked up by not bringing in a replacement for Lovren, then waiting until the last day of the winter window to bring in centre half’s, those deals should have been agreed and delivered on 1/1. The final fuck up was playing Jota in the champions league game as he was playing brilliantly and Salah apart the front 3 looks like it’s gone stale. Bitterly disappointing but if we can somehow salvage top 4 then I’d be confident we can come back again next season.

I believe the planning application has now been submitted and will be reviewed after they’re done with BMD. They’re planning to start on the new ARE before end of this year.

He’s already pumped 500m into the club to buy his 77%share and 350m in loans. Echo now saying he’s put another 50m in post latest accounts and will put another 50m in before end of season. so 450 owed in loans and total investment stands at 600m. He now wants to take his ownership up to 90% and to do this he’s willing to pay (write off) 250m that he already invested. so he paid 150 m to buy 77% of the club then paid another 250m to buy a further 13%. he’ll own 90%of the club having invested 600m an their worth probably half that. dodgy af was the 30m from usm to secure sponsorship of a stadium that no one else has bid for included in this yrs accounts?

Yep, will have took longer (14yrs) than anticipated but they will have delivered on the promise they made when they took over. Also gave us a state of the art training ground and delivered klopp who then ended our 30 yr wait for a title. All in all things are now looking very good for the future. They’ve made a number of fuck ups but all in all I think FSG have done a good job and deserve some credit.

Agree mate I think 61k maybe 65k if they figure a cost effective way of expanding skd or if they can get a few k more in the kop with safe standing will be the most we’ll see Anfield hold. As you say and Dr Troy said to rebuild skd would involve CPO of 1.5 streets and all the problems that causes then the millions to improve transport links for an extra 9k seats. Probably no more money to be paid from hospitality either as you’d think we’ve got the sweet spot on that front with main stand/Revamped ARE. For another 5k max seats in the kop you’d have to CPO the Albert/park pubs + the church and the rows of shops with the chippy on and then reroute WBR. I think this was all considered when FSG made the decision to remain at Anfield. I’d prefer 61-65k at Anfield to 70k + somewhere else.

Best hope for a bigger Kop Is safe standing but if they’d allow more than 1:1 is another matter. I can’t see them ever going down the road of a full rebuild, rerouting of WBR etc. Long term plan should be to try and mirror the main stand on the SKD but that would involve having to purchase and demolish skerries and 1/2 of Wylva Rds. That would take us up to 70k with the ARE expansion but to achieve this I think it would also have to include improved transport links which make it a very costly exercise for 9k extra seats. Best hope in short term term to go above 61k will be safe standing where we MAY be able to get another 3-4K on the kop but again the cost of the improvements required may make it unfeasible.

They’re probably praying that the planning application gets called in but should it be approved surely they’re committed to building it having gone this far.

They’re gonna look foolish if this doesn’t come off again.
