  1. Extra 4-6 games per season will spell the end of the league cup.
  2. Moshiri is already into them for 685m quid does he look to sell now ( current worth circa 300 m) and write off the loss or twist and finish the stadium but with that debt would need to sell for 1.1b to break even. Even with the stadium built how much would they be worth?
  3. Latest set off accounts due before end of this month, normally always published December time alongside an AGM. Delayed accounts/AGM cancelled makes you think they will have record breaking losses at a time when they’re looking to secure 350m+ in finance to complete the new stadium. Premier league rules states no more than 105m in losses over 3 season period. 17/18 13m loss 18/19 111m loss 19/20 139m loss they would have breached at this point but due to covid allowances they got off the hook. 20/21 tbc but likely to be a huge loss and breach the p&s rules hence why they never signed any players in the summer and had to sell Digne to fund the Jan transfers. Now lost circa 20m per year in sponsorship which was highly inflated & need to take on a massive debt that will cost 20-30m per yr to service. Not looking good for them!
  4. Be interesting to see who doesn’t make the squad assuming the four absentees return. Origi & Gomez would miss out I’d guess but you’d imagine if Henderson/Mane return which 2 players drop out of the match day squad, possibly Millner/Ox!
  5. Assuming carvahlo comes then a new centre mid + salah/klopp contracts renewed to 2026 would be perfect.
  6. Tbh I wouldn’t thank you for a Kop like that! The beauty of the Kop is that it’s dark and imposing. With its low roof It’s that dark you struggle to see where it ends. The fans on the Kop make it what it is. Ideally we’ll one day get safe standing which could maybe increase the capacity on there if they allowed a ratio 1:1.25 for example. Whether the infrastructure of the current stand could accommodate another 3k fans is another matter. Safe standing @ 1:1.25 in the Kop and lower Annie could get us up to 65k which would be the maximum possible I think without huge rebuilds of the Kop/Kenny.
  7. Deffo Jones/Henderson can still be key members of our squad and being English helps with the home grown rules. If we can sell Keita/ chamberlain & milner contract expires and bring in 2 top midfielders to complete with henderson/Thiago for starting places then we’ll be in a much better place midfield wise. 3 out, 2 in would give us 2 new mids, Fabinho, Elliott, Thiago, Henderson, Jones
  8. Deffo need some sort of retort to the generic banter bollocks that gets sung from the away end every game. This is a library where’s your famous atmosphere your support is fucking shit feed the scousers Always the victims There used to be a your so original shout which was a bit shit but at least it was something.
  9. Klopp has spent circa 510m v Guardiola circa 960m in the same 6 seasons (not including klopp’s first partial season as he never spent anything) and the last 3 seasons has seen our spending reduced massively. Money spent 16/17 us 72m city 194m We finished 4th, City 3rd Neither side won anything. 17/18 us 156m city 285m we finished 4th city 1st they won league cup and we got to champions league final 18/19 us 164m city 70m We finished 2nd city 1st they won league cup & fa cup, we won champions league 19/20 us 9m city 143m we finished 1st city 2nd they won league cup. 20/21 us 74m city 155m We finished 3rd city 1st they won league cup 21/22 us 36m city 115m Arguably this team peaked midway through 19/20 when we had the league in the bag won the world club cup and from Feb onwards we started to regress imo. No one expects us to match City spending but to spend only 9m in 19/20 after winning the champions league and pushing city all the way in the league was a huge mistake. We bought Sepp van de berg & Minamino (in the Jan) and we probably didn’t need either of those players. The defence was neglected last season and the midfield has been neglected this season and it came home to roost. This summer window will show if FSG have any ambition to try and compete with City or if they’re happy to tread water whilst Klopp guarantees a top 4 finish each yr. 60-70m of investment on top of sales is required to refresh this group of players.
  10. Pivotal summer lies ahead and fsg need to shit or get off the pot. Assuming we renew Salah & Mane’s contracts. Outs milner (free) origi (free) keita ox minamino firminho Not sure how much we’d get for this 4 maybe 60-70 million? Need a new forward & 2 midfielders which will probably require a similar figure (60-70m) in investment from our owners. Failing to act now will have us back fighting for top 4 finishes and will surely see Klopp spew it come the end of his contract in 2024.
  11. 1 win in last 12 games and they’re still 8 pts from safety! Some badly shit teams in this league.
  12. Spot on terrible signings the pair of them have turned out to be. The pair of them and Milner need to be moved on this summer and 2 midfielders brought in to compete with Henderson/Thiago. One should have been brought in last summer not doing so has probably cost us the title.
  13. That midfield proves Klopp has no trust in either Keita or Ox and I can’t say I disagree with him. Both of them + Milner need to be moved on in the summer and 2 new midfielders need to be brought in who will be pushing Thiago / Henderson for a start.
  14. Feel we’ve been unlucky last couple of weeks with the Spurs decisions costing us 2 pts and the Leeds game being cancelled which I’m pretty certain we’d have won could have us sitting 5 pts better off and only 4 adrift. That cancelled game done us no favours whatsoever and possibly contributed to the shite performance at Leicester. I don’t want to hear Jurgen moan about fixture congestion ever again as every single time we have a break we are poor in the next game and we by far perform better when we play 2 games per week.
  15. That’s effectively what’s does happen once people realise what’s happening. This is within 1 minute or so of their attack on Sean cox.
  16. The people filming were probably football tourists/out of towners who have no interest in getting involved in fighting at football which is their prerogative but I’ve seen footage that show within probably a minute of the Sean cox attack when people realise what’s happening, liverpool fans regroup and face up to them and they get legged up Walton breck rd. A firm of 20 or so Roma appeared out of Venmore st armed with belts and started attacking and no one could have prevented what happened to Sean cox as he was on the ground before with life changing injuries before anyone realised what was happening.
  17. I think the back to back friendlies have shown that our squad depth is better then we think and we can actually put out a decent 2nd eleven they would be able to compete. This would be my 1st eleven Allisson trent vvd gomez robbo fabinho thiago henderson mane bobby Salah 2nd Eleven kelleher nico/Milner konate matip timikas milner/Jones keita elliot ox jota minamino if we can offload origi/Shaq/Phillips & bring in one more we’ll be in a good position to challenge for the title imo.
  18. Apparently works start on Bramley Moore tomorrow. Still no mention of how it’s being funded but Moshiri is funding the initial costs. Is this happening then?
  19. Win our next 3 games and we’d go into the final day in the top four, can’t see it happening personally but it’s technically back in our hands.
  20. Team with no fans finally succeeds in a season with no fans.
  21. Seen the Swiss ramble article on their finances and the glazers have took over 1 billion out interest/dividend etc however they have still managed to outspend everyone apart from City so basically their beef is that they want to be able to spend even more then they currently have.
  22. Sad times but you evolve or you die. We took far to long to evolve when the premier league started and it took us the best part of 30 yrs to recover. What benefit is there to taking the moral high ground and letting all the other top teams in Europe go ahead without us. We’d never be able to compete. Sad times but it is what it is football has been a business since 92 and was made even worse by Abramovich/ Mansour etc. FSG out ? Then what do you think a new owners gonna invest 2 billion plus to buy the club out of the goodness of there heart and give it back to the people!
  23. Surely this goes ahead now? I know we’ve laughed and mocked it as the unicorn stadium for years but they surely wouldn’t go this far unless they had the funds lined up to deliver it! Will be really interesting to see the funding proposal which they said would be revealed once PP was granted.
