  1. Well done to me for winning for the fourth year running....! PLEASE READ THE PART ABOUT PM’ING THE PICKS TO ME. IF THEY ARE NOT SENT BY PM I WONT INCLUDE THEM IN THE SPREADSHEET. I will not open the PM until my list is posted. If you haven’t played before please get involved. Rules listed below. 1. Each contestant much pick 10 celebrities who they think will die between 00:01, 27th January 2020 and 23:59 31st December 2020. Lists are final as of the starting time. 2. When the death has been confirmed, points will be awarded, and the people who had them chosen may choose a new celebrity for their list. 3. A celebrity is defined as a person who lives their life in the public domain. If we have not heard of them, then we can reject them. A good rule of thumb is if they have a Wikipedia page that you didn't just make. 4. Death row prisoners and people in public 'right to die' cases are not permitted. 5. Your picks can be any age at all. No minimum or maximum for the categories, but points will be awarded like this: 50+ - 10 points 35-49 - 20 points -35 - 30 points 6. NEW RULE You will get fewer points if it is one of your replacements which dies. This is because the new pick may be based on more recent news, so is not 'as skilled' as an original pick. This will also help level the playing field and reduce the chances of The Woolster running away with things. New scoring as follows. 50+ - 9 points 35-49 - 15 points -35 - 20 points Please PM me your lists, and I will begin the spreadsheet. Even if you want your list carried over from last year, please PM me to let me know so that I can 1. confirm your list, and 2. keep track in one place who has entered. This stops people copying your lists. Once the game begins, I will post the lists here. When you're sending your lists in, please put in the categories of your entrants in order like this... 1. John 50+ 2. Mike 50+ 3. Steve 50+ 4. Sam 50+ 5. Arnold 50+ 6. Peter 50+ 7. David 35-49 8. Liam 35-49 9. Tom U35 10. Paul U35 Please don't use nicknames! Happy Celeb Deaths 2020
  2. Shit, just saw that Terry Jones is dead as the parrot, and realised I forgot to get the new comp started...
  3. That too, its another little psychological boost considering they hadn't managed to get to 400 for a while. They added 30 odd off what, 3 or 4 overs between the no ball wicket and the actual wicket. Could have added another 20 odd to turn that screw more and give us a bit more flexibility if we get to a position to declare in the 2nd innings. And if the wicket falls straight away, it makes no difference
  4. Why not let Broad go out and swing his arms for the last wicket and give Pope a chance to get to 150?
  5. Mail reporting as being worth £80m https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7859965/Liverpool-announce-British-record-multi-year-partnership-Nike.html
  6. I'm guessing Clive James as that is the most recent
  7. I think I am missing a replacement from you. When I start the thread for the new comp (maybe next week), I'll look to get/confirm everyone's list
  8. Just checked, Glen Campbell died August 2017, you may well have had him, just not in this edition...!
  9. Suppose we should have a final table... The Woolster - 80 points Redheart - 50 points Skend04 - 40 points Megadriveman / Gruntfuttock / Littletedwest - 30 points Thoth - 20 points Aggers Elbow / Vladimirllyich / Jenson / Special K / Babb'sBurstnad / Nelly-Torres - 10 points Jairzinho / Fowlers God / Bjornebye / Tokyojoe - Nil points
  10. In the absence of @Fowlers God,I guess I don't mind running it now. I've got a title to defend after all!
  11. Studies have found that "lol" tends to be used by older, more middle aged people. Which might actually be more insulting to aRdj! If your 12 yo is a girl, she might be more likely to be saying "sksksks and I oop!", which I discovered when I ended up going down a VSCO rabbit hole recently. No, me neither...
  12. McAteer doing a Josemi there Looks like George Foreman got an invite too!
  13. And its only taken you 2 years to rep it the actual post...! To be honest, I don't know if I was the first on here to suggest him, but I sure as hell made sure I was the one who took credit for it! To be fair, the first person I actually saw mention him was Roy Henderson when he was on RAWK years and years ago when Robertson was at Dundee Utd, he was raving about him, so I kept an eye on him when he joined Hull.
  14. Spent a season and a half at Salzburg when Naby was there, which is an added bonus. Should be beneficial for both if them
  15. He only got 10 or so minutes here, vut I've been really impressed by Leighton Clarkson each time I've seen him.
  16. The fact that I don't have a degree in maths probably explains a lot then!
  17. This info isnt yet on that one, so crack on!
  18. Honestly though, nice thread. Just missing some colour coding...
  19. I'm stealing some of this info for my Strive and Strive thread on the MF! *pfft, as if I didn't have this info already*
  20. Mate! Having since come across this Dr Moderate guy/gal, i now realised that the Leave vote is overweight in the polls too, so even more benefit to give. I said the I wanted the poll average to come in to at least an 8 point gap, it looks like the average after this evenings releases is about 9%, but with that overweight leave benefit to take into account, it looks to me like a hung parliament too (if this 6% gap requirement is correct). But if the youth vote really does come out in force, well, then who knows what might happen!
  21. She said she could not support the Tory's whilst they have their current Brexit strategy. I think that is as good a ruled out
  22. But that would have alienated the Labour Leavers even more than they already are, putting more seats at risk
  23. I think Lib Dems going anti Corbyn was the right thing to do. We need the Lib Dems to win seats from the Tory's, and that largely means Tory voters switching to Lib Dem. If those voters felt they were essentially giving their vote to Corbyn, they would be less likely to switch.
