On the one hand Timo Werner apparently has clause for £51m, which for a relatively young forward who has 23 goals this season, would look to be a bargain, and its part of our strategy to moneyball these situations and look for players with clauses which undervalues them. Werner would seem like a very sensible choice. On the other hand, Sancho, at 19 years old, is already posting elite level numbers and showing that he has the potential to be one of the best in the world. If you have the chance to sign a player like that, you sign a player like that as you hopefully get 10 years out of a world class player, and, it stops your rivals from having him too! So, it would seem to me that the sensible option would be to buy both of them!
