  1. To be honest I actually laughed out loud. Love In Bruge. You're a bunch of fuckin' elephants.
  2. Fellow parents of the General Forum, I need your help/experience. My little lad is 7 months tomorrow and i've taken Thursday and Friday off work to extend the bank holiday and spend some time with him and the missus. The "plan" was to get out and about and maybe stay over somewhere. The problem i'm having is i've got no clue where to go and what to do. Any suggestions from the back catalogue would be very much appreciated.
  3. Are you from Nantwich? Are you a girl?
  4. That's a fair point. I don't agree entirely and I'm not interested in what other clubs fans think of us but can't argue with the fact we need to win trophies - which is the crux of the matter. Hopefully our current boss can put that right sooner rather than later. Still going to laugh at Evv though!
  5. Here he is, the answer to the question no-one asked. Don't see anyone saying that mate. This thread is about laughing at Evv. If you want a proper discussion about where we are as a club i'm sure there's a thread about it or you could start one. They're comedy gold at the minute so relax and enjoy it.
  6. Bet you were the kid in school who sat at the front and reminded the teacher about the homework no one bothered to do.
  7. I consider myself pretty fair so right off the bat i'd say that's John's opinion and although i don't agree with it, I respect that. He's gone to the length of writing it and leaving it open for debate whether that be positive or negative so fair play. Personally speaking it's getting a little tiresome and the other articles he's written are portraying the exact same message so not sure what else this brings to the debate, e.g. defence is shit, serious reservations about Klopp as manager. I guess if it gets clicks for the site that may be the most positive thing but the sad thing for me is it comes across as a little WUM-ish.
  8. Christ on a bike what were we thinking, first time I've remembered this for ages and makes me cringe looking at it. Stewart Downing for 20 million. Unbelievable.
  9. This thread is just about keeping me sane. Less than a week away from the due date and I still have no idea what to expect (during or afterwards). I just keep trying to convince myself things won't change 'that much' but failing miserably.
  10. This may or may not be relevant, depending on your persuasion, but I absolutely detest John Achterberg. It doesn't even have anything to do with the fact that every goalie that's worked with him has turned to utter shite. It all stems from when Kenny used to make Brad Jones go out and warm up at half time and we had to watch as Achterberg struggled to put a cross in the box at a height for Jones to even try and catch it. I still have nightmares watching him try long high balls from the half way line.
  11. Got hyper thinking it was Danielle Smith part 2 or something and then realised it was this talentless, wonky titted, waste of oxygen. I'd rather look at Smithy's maa than this boot.
  12. I don't know what to think to be honest. In the time I've been watching football Everton have never been close to doing what they're doing now. For that reason I kind of don't mind them getting carried away as we're all fans of our own clubs so they may as well enjoy it while they can because football has a way of slamming you down when you least expect it (we can all testify to that). It's when i read stuff about how it must be making our heads fall off and how jealous we are it baffles me. Someone nailed it on the head a few pages back and said if we bought those players we'd all be fuming. Maybe i'm being too rationale for this type of discussion but I'm honestly not concerned about Everton half as much as I'm worried about if we manage to fuck up another summer window.
  13. "I don't like customers around the bar shouting to the barmen and police, making a big show about punches. They were crazy," said Koeman. "According to da red shite, the Police should have arrested eight people." "Maybe one or two punches were a little too much. From both sides I saw digs that were maybe more than a caution" added Koeman. "It's all about getting bevvied in town 5 hours after a game, but we don't make a show from the bar like them. It's blue on blue violence - those who understand, need no explanation."
  14. I kind of think that was the point though. It's easy to forget but this programme, essentially, is about dealing with grief. Having a presenter who has presented himself as a playboy, geezer etc to the public helps hammer home the point that grief will smash that facade with no exceptions. We all know that lads should be lads and not cry or talk about our feelings as it's a sign of weakness but that's bullshit. The group of husbands who'd lost their partners and the ending showing kids talking about their parent was the true thing to take away from this.
  15. Got to be honest I didn't know it was on but caught it about 10 minutes in. I have no idea if he cheated on his missus and if he did I''m assuming they worked through it as they were still together when she passed away. Found it a tough watch and had a lot more respect for him after it as I can't even imagine what that must be like. Cockney geezer, mank, druggie whatever I wouldn't wish what he went through on anyone and I certainly wouldn't want to go on telly and speak about it the way he did. If it helps one widow through a horrendous time he deserves massive rep for it. In my opinion like.
  16. I love that Garcia goal as much as the next red but I always make a point to bring up Big Sami's role in that game. As well as being a rock at the back let's not forget this beauty of a volley... https://youtu.be/wnZ2oos02IU EDIT: Tried to embed the video but failed miserably. Damn technology.
  17. Was talking to a bloo in work and he's of the opinion Koeman is solely there to use them as a "step up." He did drop the little nugget below in though which i'd completely forgotten/didn't care about. Koeman has seen their section of vile, angry, frothing at the mouth fans up close so he knows what they're all about. Don't think he'll hang around when that new owner doesn't spend a penny again. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/furious-everton-fan-invades-pitch-7770480
  18. When Alf goes to the beachside diner in the sky, they could do worse than replacing him with this forward thinker.
  19. Haha think you could be on to something there mate. If Everton was a bloke, he'd be the type of bloke who gets the bus and sniffs his fingers for the entire journey.
  20. There's three of us and we'll all be heading out. During the H&G protests there was always people who said "it won't change anything" and "just support the team" but we all know how that turned out in the end. With belief and solidarity we can achieve anything.
  21. The result of this thread isn't what we wanted but one thing is for sure we can't doubt the character and commitment of the posters. There's been a few changes but we'll learn from that and move forward within the model the owner set out. Take Jairzinho for example; he's an outstanding young poster who had a post with 11 reps last night. We are looking to build a forum with posters like him who have outstanding character and desire to improve, behind the scenes we are working on that tirelessly.
  22. Me and our kid trying and have had the same "luck." You'd almost think they don't want us to have the C games so more people fall out of their "priority" band. It's the same every year but, more and more, I really do wonder why we keep putting ourselves through this shit.
  23. If they walk into a bar this is going to be hilarious.
  24. I've never changed you'll be extremely relieved to know.
  25. People now get offended by content in the GF.
