  1. No, but they’ll have told Bayern if he wants to move to them. And the leak will have come from them.
  2. If he’s not moving to us, which I think seems more and more to be the case, then I hope he stays at Leverkusen and leads them into the Champions League as opposed to going to Bayern.
  3. Their game against North Korea has been postponed so he's coming back early. Great news,
  4. I think players nowadays want to try other countries and leagues. You constantly hear ex-pros saying how they regret not going abroad. Roy Keane was only recently saying he regrets turning down Bayern Munich when he did. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Trent was considering Spain. I'm not saying he will want to leave as he's spoken before about being Liverpool's Captain one day, but the idea a top player like him would never want to consider a top team in a top league in a different country is wrong imo
  5. We're better off with a regulator than without. How effective it is will be a conversation to be had in a few years. But football badly needs oversight as what is happening now can't continue. Everybody dismissed PSR as nonsense, but it was always going to take a number of years, and now it's effect is been seen. Even the financial bemouths like Man Utd are seeing the impact. If the option is no regulator or a regulator, then the latter is much better.
  6. So the answer to Bill’s “What would Everton do?” was cry to his Ma?
  7. Did I read somewhere that he’s 44? If that’s the case then I wouldn’t be overly concerned with what he did in his early to mid 20s.
  8. A Man Utd in work was about to start taking the piss so I shouted at him "You stole our bucket" and he's suitably confused enough now for me to make my getaway.
  9. I just can’t get up for this game. Even with it being them, I’m still not arsed. I’m assuming that just before kick off I’ll be back dreading it, but right now I just don’t care if we go out as I can see the benefits of that. Of course in the back of my mind is that you never want to go on an international break on a loss, especially to your big rivals. Anyway, whatever.
  10. I wish to congratulate John B on not screaming “for the love of Jazus shut the fuck up” after the 27th injured player was mentioned when he was trying to make a point. Although after there was a lull of about 3 minutes and then Chris quietly said “Gravenberch” I did spit out a laugh.
  11. It used to be when all the players were younger than me. Now most the coaches are younger than me. Soon it’ll be most the stadiums will be younger than me.
  12. If we’re going to keep him on then he has to make a decision on the hair issue. He either shaves it or goes full Bobby Charlton. This middle ground nonsense is costing us games.
  13. Phew. Jota can take his time getting back, now we have cover.
  14. Some talk that Gomez will be left back. I think that makes a ton a sense today.
  15. I find it odd how people seem to be dismissing the idea entirely that Alonso could be interested in any other club that us? If he takes over at Bayern it'll be after them having failed to win their first league title in 12 years. So it's a top club that's struggling but guarantees CL footy every year? And he also played for them and won trophies with them and so has an emotional link? Of course he's very interested in that. We are hugely appealing too of course. He's got that emotional ex-player link also. However, replacing Klopp must be seen as daunting by even the most confident manager? Maybe letting someone else be the next in line and then taking over from them in a few years time is a lot more appealing? The total silence from Real Madrid, another ex-team where he won massive trophies, has to be a concern too? They will be very interested. And then the one no one seems to be talking about? Saying at Bayer? He wins the league and then gets to take them into the CL as top seeds in the group stage with money to spend on players? This is surely appealing to him? All things considered, I want Alonso as first choice. But there's a very real chance we won't get him and I fear then whoever comes in is going to have very poor support from the fans, and the FSG Out gobshites will spin it like they fucked up, instead of the fact he might have just fancied going somewhere else, or staying where he is? It's gong to be a massive overaction that will affect the coming seasons. That reason alone is enough for me to hope it's Alonso, but I hope people can be mature about it if it's not him.

  17. We shall choose to believe the rumour that gives us the news we want and dismiss as internet bullshit the news that we don't want. We are football fans and that is our prerogative.
