  1. Very well you can go back to believing a Guardian Journo article from nearly a year ago then! The UK was the main thing standing in the way of an EU Army, well guess what? Prety soon we won't be able to be the opposing voice. This is why this is all out in the open now, things can start happening and IF the EU continues to exist the way it is now and doesn't fall apart they'll make this happen.
  2. Not that out of date, they're not the most enthusiastic of NATO members and I'm prety sure our known for rocking the boat.
  3. Great news... The Queen has granted royal assent to the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill, giving Theresa May the legal power to choose when to start formal Brexit talks. The European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill was passed by MPs and peers on Monday with Royal Assent expected at 11am GMT. It will then be open to the prime minister to notify Brussels that the UK is leaving the EU, starting the two-year countdown to Brexit. Mrs May promised on Tuesday to come to the Commons later this month to announce when she had triggered Article 50, the legal mechanism for withdrawal. She revealed in October that it would be done by the end of March. http://www.itv.com/news/2017-03-16/queen-gives-royal-assent-to-article-50-bill/
  4. Starting tomorrow over the whole weekend, going to be fascinating, obviously Gomez and Ali Brownlee will be the two favourites (no Jonny due to injury)
  5. In 1975, the question was ‘Do you think that the United Kingdom should remain part of the European Community (Common Market)?’ (Answer: Yes/No). They wasn't voting for what the EU was to become I'm sure you know that.
  6. Two articles wrote before the Referendum, one from the fucking Guardian?? You're going to have to do a bit better than that. From the horses mouth... https://youtu.be/1Ysgr0VbDiY https://youtu.be/Czcd--zmjUs https://youtu.be/bOAhH7EeJAQ
  7. So people in 1975 knew exactly what they was voting for?
  8. https://youtu.be/Ay9lXGJJ7NM All suggestions of an EU Army were ridiculed in the Referendum campaign.
  9. Do you think the country would of voted to stay in in 1975 if they were given the 2016 version of what the EU was going to become? Complete with EU flag, anthem, passport, open borders, laws the 3.2million EU immigrants living in the UK? What does the EU look like 42 years from now? If you'd have told people in 1975 what they'd just voted for they wouldn't of believed you. We already know the EU Army was deliberately kept from voters in the referendum last year, what else? Bit of irony when leave voters trot out the 'leave voters don't know what they were voting for' line, the truth is the opposite.
  10. Here's the crackpot they've put in charge of EU negotiations, you'll probably find he's not alone within the EU with his views either. https://youtu.be/gKFI-iYjJ0M Edit...viewers discretion advised (I can't vouch for the fact this video is neo Nazi watched or liked free)
  11. Britain Is Committed To Playing A Leading Role In European Security, The Defence Secretary Has Reaffirmed. Sir Michael speaks to German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen today's meeting. Speaking at a meeting of European Union Defence Ministers in Brussels, Sir Michael Fallon called on the EU to step up cooperation with NATO in order for the two organisations to more effectively tackle shared security challenges, including hybrid warfare and cyber. Sir Michael also called for an improvement in Europe’s performance in building national capabilities that can be made available to the EU and NATO. This requires more defence spending and better investment in key equipment. Britain’s commitments in 2017 underline the leading role in European Security the UK will continue to play. This year, Britain is leading NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force, a Brigade-size force which is ready and willing to respond to any threat. This spring, the UK will also deploy a battle group of around 800 personnel to lead in Estonia NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence. The Defence Secretary also confirmed Britain’s strong role in EU missions and operations. HMS Echo is currently helping to tackle people smugglers in the Mediterranean, as part of the EU’s mission Operation Sophia. Royal Navy deployments to the operation have helped destroy over 120 smuggling boasts, apprehending 20 suspected smugglers in the process, and have helped to rescue 10,000 people from the high seas. Britain also has over 150 UK personnel committed to EU missions and operations, including in Bosnia, Mail and Somalia, demonstrating Britain’s global reach. Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon said: We are leaving the EU but we will continue to cooperate with our European partners on defence and security. This includes playing our part in the mission in the Mediterranean, rescuing migrants and tackling people smuggling. Today I have urged the EU to cooperate more closely with NATO, to avoid unnecessary duplication and to work together on new threats, including cyber. Sir Michael called on the EU and NATO to redouble their efforts on cooperation, noting that while good progress has been made, more work needed to be done, particularly on cyber, hybrid, maritime and coordinated exercises. Today’s meeting also brought forward improvements to the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions and operations, through the Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC), to help improve planning and conduct of the training missions (known as non-executive missions) and to enhance civilian and military working. Important improvements to the agreement, suggested by the UK, were agreed today, including limiting the authority of the Director of the MPCC, and avoiding duplication with NATO structures. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/defence-secretary-underlines-uk-commitment-to-european-security Why is Michael Fallon calling on greater cooperation with the EU and NATO? Why does and EU which is supposed to be all about trade need a military?
  12. Spot on this, people's attitudes need to change in the city also, there's a lot of negativity to change and anything new and shiney.
  13. Spot on this, it's criminal what fuck ups they've been allowed to get away with over the years and decades. Look at the fucking state of Lime Steet as an example, how is nobody accountable for the derelict ruin shit hole that Street become over the last couple of decades?
  14. EU or no EU there was fuck all chance we'd have been at war with any member state country and I'm sure if you're honest you'd agree.
  15. Sorry not reading that, not when there's a chance a Neo Nazi could of read and and agreed with it!
  16. Where was you to pull up the remainers who made the original point about us being safer in the EU, safer from what? This debate has been had in this thread at least 3 times, open border terrorism, Russia, rocking the boat with NATO not to mention diluting and weakening our own Military by having decisions made for them in Brussels. Can you brief me up on how being a member of the EU has stopped us 'hardly being at war or involved in any threats'
  17. There's no guarantees in the future once the EU has its own Military it won't go doing the same is there?
  18. Doesn't have an Army yet! So the answer is zero then?
