BBC headline: DIC to bid for whole club

You are right. I'm also hamstrung. -
Parry attempting to block refinancing?
Carra_is_legend replied to Scott's topic in FF - Football Forum
They have been saying this for more than 2 months. Only Hicks is mouthing off about it all the time. Gillet hasn't said a word about it in recent weeks. I still hold hope that it will fall on its arse and DIC will come in. -

What do you expect them to do? Pay the £1bn that Tom and Jerry are asking for? They have always made it clear that they won't pay over the odds. They may have more money than G&H but it will still be a business to them. -
Parry attempting to block refinancing?
Carra_is_legend replied to Scott's topic in FF - Football Forum
I don't believe this "Parry is refusing to sign" thing. I know he is part of the board but end of the day, he is a fuckin employee. Even if it is true, DIC are not stupid - if they come on board, the first thing they will do is push the clown out of the window. -

It is impressive the way Lerner has conducted himself in his short term at Villa - got himself a decent manager and backed him with significant funds. We are all blaming G&H when we should really be shooting Moores and Parry. They were the ones who put us in this mess in the first place. Oh and Doug is a bit tit himself. -

They will pay the interest for £105m from the club. They will pay the interest for the remaining amount from the dividends that they receive from the club. Makes no difference. -

Bond has said that around £132m will be secured against G&H and not the club. £40m in cash, £37.5 in letters of credit and £55m in personal guarantees. That still leaves us with £217m debt. Anyway, the "personal guarantee" of £55m and the letters of credit means fuck all. If it reaches a stage where the bank has to push for those amounts, it will mean that our club is doing so bad that G&H can't afford to keep up with the payments. -

I trust Gillett as much as I trust Hicks. They BOTH met Klinsmann and as far as I know, Gillett introduced Klinsmann to Hicks and not the other way around. -

I read elsewhere that Gillett is struggling to come up with the extra money that the banks are demanding as a "guarantee". Could it be that Gillett will opt to sell his 50% to DIC? Just a thought. Hicks & DIC together - blood bath I reckon. -
The stadium was never an issue. We all knew that money will be borrowed to build the stadium - regardless of who the owners are. And, as you say, once the stadium is built, they can get serious dividends for themselves. The issue is with the interim period - between now and the day we move onto the new stadium. Why do you think Moores was looking for an investor? He could well have borrowed money to build the new stadium himself. The issue with this was that the team wouldn't be successful in the mean time. We will be paying interest with our income and there will be no money left to buy players from the top market. Arsenal did it - only because they were successful on the pitch and Wenger had an incredible talent of finding players on the cheap. If only Parry and Moores moved their arses when the stadium estimate was £80m!
-
They ARE trying to place the debt on the club - hence the whole re-financing issue. I understand the weetabix point you made - Moores and Parry were looking for "investment" - G&H promised exactly that. They said they are not placing a huge dept on the club. We all thought that they will invest their own money and use "borrowed" money to build the stadium and let the stadium pay for itself over a period of time. Now we know that they "borrowed" money to even fund for the purchase of the club AND purchase of players like Torres and Babel. Moores could have done the same. In fact Leeds did the same and we all know what happened.
-
Jesus wept. Question: Your takeover of Liverpool - is it the same as what Glazers have done at Utd G&H: It is different in the sense that we haven't placed any debt on the club. Then they go and re-finance placing £350m on the club's books. If you think what they did is right, you live in a different world.
-
That is not what they promised though. I wonder why he didn't say that in his first ever press conference at LFC. The twat.
-
Exactly. Unless we start to vote with our feet, fuck all will happen. As far voting with our feet, can't see this happening.
-
G&H did exactly that. They promised that this would be the case and now they are in the process of going back in those promises. The funds they used to buy us clearly came out of a short term loan with a view to refinance in the long term. How Parry and Moores failed to see this is beyond me. DIC, if they come in, will put us in debt - just a question of how much and whether it will have serious implications on the transfer funds.
-
Parry and Moores have done enough damage - no matter what they do now to correct the situation. Getting rid of the yanks is the priority - but, we also need to get rid of the two cunts who put us in this position in the first place.

I ain't this momo chap either.

Aye. Let us wait for the confirmation. On the other hand, may be the refinancing part is done and dusted prompting Moores to get pissed off and resign. Just a thought like. -

That would be good news for G&H - one less voice against them. -

Why would they give something like that in writing? Moores and Parry are thicker than I thought if they ever believed that the yanks will stick to their words. -

DIC seems to be a better option right now but what if they put £400m loan against the club's assets ? This is what will happen eventually - regardless of whether it is thru the two cunts or DIC. -

As it stands, the two cunts have made their other assets less valuable by going for a loan to buy us. When they refinance, this risk will be removed from their assets and place all the risk on us. When (if) they build the stadium, they can sell the club for a much higher price. It is like you buying a house - you can either sell it after a short period for "some" profit or you can get additional loans, improve the house and then sell it for a higher profit. The only issue here is whether you pay the interest for the additional loan - G&H can easily deal with this issue with the amount of money we bring into the club. They won't sanction big buys - it will always be wheeling and dealing regardless of who the manager is. They will make sure we finish in the top 4 and when the stadium is built, they will easily double the profits that they will get today if they sell us to DIC. -

BBC sports editor Mihir Bose told BBC Radio Five Live: "Tom Hicks is right to say he hasn't rejected an offer from DIC because I am told they haven't made one yet. "However, I understand that DIC are prepared to pay about £400m for Liverpool." -
Anfield owners holding out for a windfall
Carra_is_legend replied to Newman's topic in FF - Football Forum
You are right mate - it will hurt them if there are empty seats. But, how many empty seats do you reckon you will see for the Inter game? If you don't go, there will always be someone to take your seat. We have too many loyal fans mate and they know that. We only need to look at what happened at Utd - everyone was unhappy with Glazers at the beginning but the ground was still full and prawn sandwiches were still selling. As long as this is the case, they won't give a flying fuck. -

Fan power will do fuck all in this matter. They won't give a flying fuck on what we think. If they do stay, they will start the stadium work and buy couple of big players (using bank loan obviously) and everything will be forgotten. I don't think £50m+ profit will make them walk. They will want more.
