All I'm asking for is a slight tweak so our players aren't dead on their feet all the time.

For me the two things that need to change with the new manager 1. Intensity - We play too much on a knife edge and when it goes wrong, it goes wrong. Plus we have had continuous injury problems over the years 2. Finishing- Obvious one this but I think we need a new number 9

Great podcast. One of things Paul kept saying at the beginning of the season was we where failing the eye test. I don't think its reactionary to say that Salah for me every time I've seen him recently feels like he's failed the eye test. I'm not quite saying we should sell him, but equally the way we're setup with him it's like we're playing with 10 men and I felt v Palace this was even more the case. Whilst we're mathematically in this, we've as was said on the pod, seen this movie before. I don't fancy going all in on this again, I don't have the emotional strength to put myself through yet another Wolves at home. It's his first season in the league, takes time to adapt. He was overplayed in the beginning, had an injury, comes back and is still finding his feet. I think he's shown enough to say he can be a good player for us. He's been shit recently though

I don't think they're the bad guys, I just think this is symbiotic of an issue that is hugely complex. I do think however it's un-acceptable to just shrug your shoulders about it and go, "well it's capitalism". There are a multitude of things I can think of that would increase revenue on a match day that don't involve ticket price rises.

Also this was going back pre-covid but one of the TV deals was so lucrative that they could let everyone in for free and still make the same money they did before. Tickets just aren't the biggest revenue stream for a club like Liverpool

I support the protest BUT the big issue here has always been and always will be supply and demand. Not withstanding the great job that has taken place with renovating Anfield, I really do think it was and is short sighted not have to built at least an 80k seater stadium. The waiting list for home games for members was for me at one point about 40,000 it's absolutely obscene. I am hugely fortunate to have access to a season ticket, and a network of people I can use tickets at face value but very conscious this is not a privilege shared by most. I am hoping The Kop and Centenary are looked at soon to increase capacity because that's the only way to alleviate the demand.

I have also not been this angry in a long time, it's everything 1. Repeating of the same mistakes as 3 weeks ago 2. Repeating of the same story of previous seasons I.E losing out on the league I know we haven't lost out yet but we've been here before, you can't drop points you just can't. I know it's Arsenal as well this time but both City and Arsenal look ruthless.

Torres is a good example of time healing old wounds. At least when it comes to the person. I was devasted when he left, the key image for me was when he had the Liverpool scarf wrapped around his arm when he lifted the world cup. Call it good PR, but it did feel like he was another foreign player who got what it meant to play for the club. Simon Hughes wrote a book a few years ago where he interviewed players from that era including Torres, and notwithstanding what he won with Chelsea, I have always felt with Torres and it came across in that book there is a tinge of regret for leaving the way he did. I'm delighted that he can come back to the club and be treated warmly, I sort of wish the same happened with Owen because he actually won stuff with us regardless of his move to United, but that's just my personal opinion. Torres at his peak was excellent, but call it recency bias but there are a few players I'd have ahead of him, including Sturridge.

Stupid question/point but I know my pension provider gets money from the company not entirely on a consistent basis, it comes out via direct debit.

The issue is that he's starting to stick out like a sore thumb at the moment in terms of players who are not offering much, or performing at a level that is below the others. It does feel harsh given he has scored some goals this season especially in the League Cup run, but today he was awful. He needs to be more dynamic, more front footed and in short, quicker. He's not as explosive as he looked when he first joined us.

He was very poor in the 1st half from what I could see. I really like Harvey however, always have done and have felt he's been unlucky not to start given his impact off the bench. Yesterday was difficult for them all in fairness and there wasn't much happening in front of him. 2nd half much better, deserved his goal and all game he did work incredibly hard. I think he's fantastic

I just don't think there really are any clear and obvious contenders. If you put a gun to my head I would probably go for Alonso but I'm not convinced. For context, I feel Gerrard would have been in a similar position had Klopp decided to leave for example after Gerrard won the league at rangers. I like him, I like what he's done and if he goes onto win the league it's a safer bet but I'm really not convinced in the same way I was about Klopp. I sway between going for someone who is completely different, to someone who is charismatic in their own way like Klopp and would buy into the whole thing completely I really really like Postecoglu as an outside chance. In short, I really don't know that's why I said lets just see what Pep would say because honestly, it's going to be a difficult one this.

RE: Bramley Moore. I think if it really went tits up for Everton then I think there will be two scenarios 1. Liverpool and the City Council fund a stadium for the Liverpool Women's team, this arrangement will last through to such a time by which Everton can either lease the stadium or buy it. 2. The stadium stands empty for decades as a shining example to Premier League corruption implemented by our blue cousins and it'll eventually collapse in the sea (after about 2 years) because of global warming. Believe me I've thought about this long and hard.

The comment about Nunez not being a problem whilst we're top of the league is absolutely valid. It's the Naby Keita defence, I.E as long as we're winning the league or are successful his impact or lack thereof never really got noticed until he never played again/ballooned it in Paris. Make no mistake the knives will be out if this season somehow turns bad, or we don't win anything and his finishing is part of the cause.

I know this sounds daft, but the only way Nunez can become a success at Liverpool is if we win the league. My worry about Nunez and this was almost the case v Fulham and it was partially the case via Luton is that sometimes, you've just got to score. You're not always going to get multiple chances a game, sometimes we're going to get one or two and they need to be taken. Yes it's a team effort and us winning the league will have as much to do with our defence as anything, but I really don't want to be looking at the end of the season and ruing the missed chances. It's irrelevant if we win the big shiny thing at the end. But he'll have a big of a say as anyone, especially with the price tag as to what we go on to achieve this year. I'm still on the fence with him, he'll have a problem if Gakpo pushes on.
