  1. They’re the form team in the division at the moment. On that basis they have to be considered a real threat to our top four chances as long as we continue to throw points away against the likes of Brighton and Luton.
  2. He’s a good player, but he’s not a DM. It’s like playing Trent at CB and expecting him to be on par with Van Dijk. Once again, we’re seeing the problem with the last minute signing of a Championship-level player as our DM. Klopp doesn’t trust him in league games, and we’ve got a bodged midfield as a result.
  3. Top four is going to be an uphill struggle this season. Not sure we’ll be able to fend off a team as strong as Newcastle if we can’t beat Luton. Definitely going to need massive investment in January.
  4. There can’t have been many worse top flight appointments. He looks like a GP and apparently manages a football team like one.
  5. As soon as they appointed Dyche they were guaranteed safety for 4-5 years; he’s just a good fit for them. Even if they get a 12 point deduction they’ll survive very comfortably this year.
  6. Momentum is important. They’re going to be hard to shift thanks to what has been a suspiciously kind fixture list - their next three are close to guaranteed wins, too.
  7. They’ll finish 13 points outside of the relegation zone if they get a 12 point deduction.
  8. Agreed - and hopefully we’ll be the ones to do just that, but if it’s City who replace them, so be it. I’d much rather the obvious cheats win another title than the Premier League’s chosen boys.
  9. Their fixture list has been ridiculously kind and there’s a fair chance they’ll fall away, but the momentum from this run could make them hard to shift from the top of the table if it goes on much longer. They’ve got a guaranteed 9 points from their next three games and probably 12 from four since Villa are no great shakes away from home. I’ve never seen a run of fixtures like it.
  10. Is he playing as the 6? If so, there’s the answer. Utter madness signing a Championship calibre player for that role, not trusting him to do the job and then forcing another player out of position.
  11. I’m starting to suspect that the intention is to engineer a North London battle near the top of the table.
  12. I think the best thing we can do immediately is to instil a climate of fear in the shifty fuckers - surround them, get in their faces after every decision like Man Utd of the 90s and 2000s. I know there was a ridiculous directive about not being scawy bad men, but if they’re going to be corrupt, then all we can do is keep drawing attention to it, because nothing is going to change as things stand. Same with after match comments - Klopp should refuse to talk and send out a different coach each time. If he can’t do that, just answer every question with a no comment. What are they going to do? Send off the entire team in every game? No, they’ll slither back into their holes and brief the press about how such behaviour has filtered down to the under-5s game, even though that wasn’t a concern when Alex Ferguson used it as a tactic in every match his side played.
  13. Did Postecoglu concede that the officiating was preposterous and that Spurs got a gift, or was he full scab in his post match interview?
  14. Yep. If it’s an error post-VAR, the result has to be changed or that portion of the game has to be replayed at a later date. That’s the only way to adjust the situation. As things stand, Spurs and the officials are cheats. Fact.
  15. Postecoglu is finished at Premier League level. Utterly useless not to oversee a convincing win under the circumstances - he knows he’s cheated in conjunction with the officials. At very, very, best, the didingenuous, cheating clown will be back to Scotland within a year.
  16. Need to level it up - go to ground at every possibility, accuse Spurs players of abusive language etc.
  17. Alisson, Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones, Diaz, Salah, Nunez. Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Konate, Gakpo, Elliott, Jota, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Quansah.
  18. Interesting that every Newcastle game so far this season has been televised. Nothing at all suspicious about that happening to be the case given the motives of the ownership.
  19. He’s a near-31 year old who, overall, had worse stats than last season’s Fabinho in a much worse league.
  20. They'll give him until January / February at least, and if there's no improvement go for a manager on the up who foolishly sinks his career by going there at this point in time. De Zerbi, perhaps.
  21. I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw. Puts the final nail in the coffin of Arsenal's title hopes (and hopefully signals them slumping back into the pack) and barely helps Everton.
