  1. Apart from when he did say something to that effect. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/hay-festival/10094749/Id-probably-watch-child-porn-admits-former-Crimewatch-presenter-Nick-Ross.html
  2. Messi + Messi's wages & 20m. Start taking shit in return, Brendan.
  3. Argentina vs Belgium / USA is a toss up. None of the sides in this competition would reach the CL semis.
  4. Under the circumstances, I think Sanchez should sack his agent and hire Pere Guardiola.
  5. I've avoided the punditry completely over the course of this World Cup. How does Chiles view Suarez? I'm imagining "roughly on par with John Wayne Gacy" but perhaps that's just my usual cynicism creeping through.
  6. I wonder if Galatasaray are just trying to save face so that their fans aren't too up in arms when Moyes is unveiled as their new boss. It's the sort of move Everton might pull, so perhaps Moyes has given them the blueprint.
  7. While this is true, it's really hammered home the fact that he won't be coming back. We should still back him to the hilt and do what we can to ensure that the ban is reduced to something reasonable, but there's too much water under the bridge now.
  8. I've read another version of that which states he'll be meeting Liverpool lawyers in Barcelona to discuss the appeal against the ban, not to secure a transfer. Why it's in Barcelona I don't have a clue, but perhaps there's something beyond the obvious that I'm missing.
  9. Depends. If we really can't register him until January, we're between a rock and a hard place. A straight swap might well be seen as savvy business under the circumstances.
  10. Seriously? In that case we have to get serious and not only take legal action, but prohibit ALL of our players from playing international football. No exceptions, because it is simply too risky. That cannot be disputed.
  11. I''m not as sure as you are but I expect so. Sanchez and 15-20m or thereabouts.
  12. He's not allowed to enter a football stadium at all.
  13. HIs value is probably capped at 30-40m now, Too much history.
  14. Apparently he can be sold. You have to wonder if Madrid and Barcelona have had a hand in getting this extended as far as it has been. It certainly wouldn't be surprising.
  15. Four months. End of October. Having an outside stab at a CL spot would be fantastic, if not a bit fanciful.
  16. Well, we're not going to challenge for the title next season. We have a very tough start and no Suarez - if we can be in contention for a place in the Europa when he returns, we'll have done extremely well. One thing's for sure, we cannot afford to release players for what are, in this day and age, relatively meaningless international competitions unless provisions are made to ensure that lost earnings, wages and potential earnings are covered in full by FIFA and the relevant football associations should that be necessary.
  17. I haven't heard this, but seriously? If so, there's another cretinous pundit to be avoided at all costs.
  18. Then fact that the ludicrous media frenzy is spearheaded by a nation of pontificating parrots makes me so glad that England are out. I don't think there's a single group that team could have qualified from.
  19. England is the land of fair play, and no one can find sporting conduct that runs to the contrary.
  20. Does he want to join Brazil this time?
