  1. That was villa away in 2019 that. The week before we played city at Anfield and the momentum swung from theirs to ours in the space of a few minutes. We have to win next week.
  2. I think it must be that it goes back to the goalie even if the opponent has the ball. That’s what happened in both cases today
  3. He did the exact some thing to us at the start of the second half when we had the ball. Myself and macallister were going fucking mad over it and he was gesticulating about the penalty area as though to suggest there was some shit rule that we’re not aware of. He applied that consistently in both scenarios anyway despite being a shit manc cunt
  4. The only positive I took from it was that generally you can go away to Arsenal, play well and still get beat. So if that was us throwing a stinker in, it wasn’t the worst game to do it rather than potentially having a repeat of the Leicester scenario from a few years ok. Its a big IF though
  5. Started to up the mileage after struggling to train over Christmas but my calves have tightened again so just tried to get out and do a small 4.5 mile but stopped straight away as they didn’t feel right. Bit of a shitter really as my legs have felt good recently having had a few issues for a few years. Gonna book some acupuncture and a massage over the weekend and have to up the strength training. 12 weeks on Sunday until the London marathon.
  6. I rarely post but did so after the Fulham game the other week and said I look at that squad and think it’s just far too early in its development to win a title. I’d love to be wrong and they really turn it on second half of the season, but in my opinion there are still too many players who are not ready to provide the consistency needed to win the league. I look at them players there and think how many of them would you rely on to win 5 or 6 of your last 7/8 games when the pressure is really on to win a title if it went toe to toe. It would only be some of the few remaining who’ve won the big trophies for us in the past. And for me that’s absolutely fine because that’s part of developing as a squad. I actually think the league cup could be a really important one this year to help develop this squad and get them winning a trophy early, particularly given who’s left in it. I’d take it much more seriously than other people are suggesting to do. However I also have nagging questions about whether it’s the players not being ready or whether they are just actually not good enough. And only time will tell on that score I don’t think anyone can give a definitive answer until klopp has had time to develop them as a squad. What I do know is there is no better manager to try and get every last drop ability out of them.
  7. I was quite a big critic of Nunez in his early months, and I think he’s improved massively since being with us. However I think he is a bit of a microcosm of where we are at as an all round team at the moment. A lot of potential and a massive ceiling there but also frustratingly inconsistent and the ability to blow really hot and cold. I was sat watching that today looking at a number of players thinking, they’re probably a couple of years away from being where we need to be to genuinely challenge city in the way that we have previously. Gravenberch, Sobozlai, Nunez, Macallister, Gakpo, the younger players like Elliot and Jones even potentially Diaz are just not quite consistent enough to be top draw at the moment. That’s not to say they won’t become that, but it’s just not quite there yet. I still think when it comes to the crunch this season we will fall short, but that’s ok if we are developing as a team. A league cup and a Europa league would help in that process massively. I could do without the cheerleading to the crowd after he’s missed a chance though. Just focus on putting the ball in the net son.
  8. Embrace the dome Mook, the ladies love it. Unfortunately for me I’ve only ever met the 12% of women stated.
  9. I missed Gravenberch's goal as I had my head in my mates bosom after Nunez's miss. Still can't believe he missed it!
  10. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I had no idea it was about the Sharon Tate murder being a young pup of 36 and not having read anything about the film. It was so much better watching it the second time but it was on telly. Inception and Dunkirk as well. Blew me away in the pictures both of them, the type of films where I realised I hadn’t blinked in about an hour towards the end.
  11. I’ve just ate a special satay, with salt and pepper chicken fried rice and a portion of chips. I’m going to explode
  12. Nice one mate. I ran the Edinburgh marathon in 2018 and ran fairly regularly for a good few years after but had a problem with my calf for the last couple of years so scaled back the running. Fingers crossed the calf seems to be ok now so I’m looking forward to starting up again. Just going to be doing a couple of 5/10k runs a week before Christmas alongside some other training as I’ll get bored if I go too heavy too early. Looking forward to doing it though, there are 4 of us running it so should be a good weekend.
  13. I’ve got a place in the London marathon next year running for a children’s cancer charity so it’s going to be back pounding the tarmac having not ran consistently for a good year or 2. That marathon time was an incredible effort an tha, well done mate
  14. What AOT says there is all 100% right in theory, I’m only saying what I’ve seen so defo explore other peoples opinions/experiences. If she decides to bow out I’d defo try and negotiate something more though mate. If they’re willing to pay til Christmas now I’d gamble that they’d be willing to pay til February half term minimum as well. In time/management HR costs and all round hassle to constructively dismiss her it’s going to be a much longer and messier process so 6 weeks extra salary to eliminate all that would be worth it I would have thought. But again seek advice from others. Best of luck with it anyway, shite situation all round.
  15. I work in education mate and it’s absolutely grim in how ruthless they are. I’ve heard and seen this done loads of times and unfortunately, the reality is that they’ll make her life utterly miserable until it gets to the point that she cracks and leaves, or can’t cope with the workload and starts making errors that lead to a dismissal. I’ve had dealings with loads of different headteachers and loads of them have been borderline sociopaths/megalomaniacs. It’s absolutely shite, but in terms of the stress that may follow my advice would be to take the offer, or to try and negotiate a slightly better offer. Once they’ve made a decision like that there is no going back. Your only option is looking at fighting a constructive dismissal case but the schools usually make sure they have the evidence they need for there to be no repercussions.
  16. What’s the most batshit you’ve ever gone at the game and why? Nunez’s equaliser last week got me thinking whether that’s the most I’ve ever lost my shit celebrating a goal or not. And equally have there been any unusual things that have made you lose your shit? Im usually fairly calm at the match and don’t get involved with all that opposition fan baiting rubbish, and I remember 18/19 being down at Southampton end of the season when keita equalised. I was right next to their fans and I’d zoned in on one fan in their end being absolutely horrible just before we scored and I full on lost my mind at him trying to make him see that I’d clocked him. Unsuccessfully so, where I just looked like a proper fucking idiot. In summary, tell us when you’ve let your soft out and looked like a knob!
  17. When you’re climbing up a tree and it dribbles down your knee diarrhoea
  18. A few more from the alps recently
  19. Currently half way through the tour de Mont Blanc and staying in courmeyer. Some boss views already. Second picture is the summit of Mont Blanc which we got a view of yesterday.
  20. Fuck me we got lucky with the weather for the 2 days there looking at the state of it now. Parked ourselves next to the 9th green and 10th tee with a great spec and access to the beer tents. I’m paying for it now though. Fancy Rahm to come through the pack today after an unbelievable round yesterday.
  21. Got tickets for the Friday and Saturday for this. Can't wait to finish tomorrow as it is the precursor into 2 weeks off work and a trek round mount blanc next week! I'm hoping McIlroy can pull one out the bag but fancy Hovland who has gone close in the last few. Gonna be rough on Sunday!
  22. Even that was concussion protocols from the head injury he got against Newcastle on the Saturday. He'd have played if they had let him. A modern great Mo no doubt.
