Dortmund beat Mainz 2: 0 at home Didn't seem to get out second gear.... or the need to get out of second gear.... A fan (I believe a Dortmund fan) had a heart attack during the game and died. Dortmund fans burst into YNWA during the game after a stadium announcement is made of the tragedy. At the end of the game, Dortmund fans barely celebrate the win. The players just shake hands. Dortmund players arm in arm in front of the Sudtribune in silence watch the entire stand sing YNWA..... Class Club Class Fans Sad to hear about the fan dying.

I thought Stewart was fantastic. Over both legs he looked very good. Brannagan looks like Rush. Every time I see his face, he reminds me of younger Rush. I too thought Ibe was poor. Things really slowed down when he got the ball and his MO seemed to be run as close as possible to the defender when he had ball, try and control the ball while trying to get around the defender , over hit, mis control or get stuck and repeat. Would have nice to see Kent on for a bit. Flano's first (or at least one his first passes) to Benteke's feet was nice to see.

At the LA Galaxy vs NYCFC game.... Half Time Galaxy 1 : NYCFC 0 LA should be three nil up.... Although they did do a pretty good impression of Stoke a la Pulis for the first 20 min... N.Y. keeping the ball on the ground trying to play football... Watching Villa and Pirlo live is something else... Granted it is the glacially slow pace of the MLS, but still those two are on a different planet....it is a joy to watch... Stevie too, is pretty much jogging at half speed... Doesn't really need to get out of gear... But then again not sure how Arena is trying use him... Seems wasted in front of the back four... He thinks light years ahead of the players around him.... And not enough people on his wavelength...

Good call.... Haddin did well.... Not sure it was smart to protect Cummins, when they had bugger all on the board, though.... And also he seemed to really want to take advantage of that batting powerplay, and started going the biscuit instead of being patient.... Easy for me to say that, but if not for Haddin, it could have been far worse for AUS ...
