  1. I've been bricking it since Sunday. Everytime I think, write or speak about this game I can feel my body tense up. I was actually fine after the Real game yesterday. Was almost thinking we'd be OK until I came on here. After reading you bastards, now I'm beside myself again. I love that my club brings out these feelings in me again. It's been too long waiting and watching on the sidelines. This'll be a good test of our character. Our mettle. This is where you learn to win. Lets do this and EVERYONE get home safe.
  2. Said that to a mate. Fucking Lovren. Always Lovren. He's been fairly steady of late. So he was well overdue for a brain fart. I hope this was it and it is now out of the system. Might even work in our favor if Roma tries attacking us next week. Cleary our focus as attention needs to improve. Get back to basics. But fuck me we don't do things easy, do we.
  3. This! Fuck Adidas. I agree those older kits (stripes and trefoil) were class, but those fuckers were taking the piss with their £12m/yr bid. We aren't big enough? Go fuck yourself! I'll bet they come clambering back now that we are on the rise again. We should rip them a new one when the new bid comes up again.
  4. Steady. Chocolate sauce, Nutella ain't. Nigh on commiting sacrilege there. But fair enough about the strawberries providing tartness. I can come around to that. And it adds a lovely color contrast, not to mention the presentation. All in all looks lovely Rem.
  5. That looks fucking amazing. Piss off the strawberries and whatever the multicolored stuff on top is, gimme cold milk and I would destroy that quick smart. Might need a lie down afterwards but fuck me I'd give it a go. Looks decadent. Yes please.
  6. Posted this in an earlier thread on Alcoholism: I've been to two rehabs. Kicked out the first after three weeks and spent 6 months at the second one.... still couldn't get sober.I'm 40 now and am approaching 6yrs of sobriety. Not really a big deal to non alcoholics. Almost like bragging about not shitting in your pants. But a big fucking deal to people like me and the people around me. Still the best thing I've ever done. Through hard work, structure, discipline and diligence. All qualities that are required for success in any field.... whether sport, school, business, fitness, music, relationships or sobriety. I couldn't do it on my own, so I needed to be around people who had success at this. Be open to new ideas and go all in. Give it a good go and see what happens. Don't half arse it. You are welcome to DM or call if you need to chat. Happy to help in anyway.
  7. Whatever you're doing......don't change a damn thing.
  8. There's an article in the Sydney Morning Herald on it. https://twitter.com/smh/status/947346673004630016 OR www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/has-nike-leaked-philippe-coutinhos-move-from-liverpool-to-barcelona-20171231-h0bq1i.html Fuck Barca and Fuck Nike too. The entitled cunts. We shouldn't sell. But if we've decided to sell, then we should wait till after the World Cup. His price will surely go up.
  9. Sorry mate. Don't see it that way. But happy to be proved wrong from January onwards.
  10. I certainly hope so... At least till the summer. On another note, though Matip can look cool under pressure at times, his slow build up infuriates me. Especially his slow passes. That a lot of his (and the rest of the defence's) passes are sideways is more to do with our midfield being static and not providing options for the pass. But I've noticed and been very frustrated when Matip passes the ball, its a slow gentle pass. Not a crisp firm let's get a move on pass. I think Lovren is less guilty of that. Among the many reasons we struggle to break down obdurate defences is we move the ball way too slowly. Matip contributes to this. Lovren less so. Plus I feel Lovren is a more physical presence than Matip. But even if the pairing is Lovren and VVD, our midfield needs to be more mobile. 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-1-3 please.
  11. Oh no. My condolences. That is terrible news. Gutted for you. Glad you were able to be there at the end. I was tearing up reading that. This sounds silly after reading about all his medical conditions, but hope he wasn't in too much pain at the end. Hope you and the family get some peace.
  12. Sadly Yes.I was convinced he got the ball and the collision was just a timing thing. Then seeing the relay, it was clearly a pen. Still can't believe he missed/fluffed that side foot clearance though. Good save mind.
  13. Kerem Demirbay is made of glass. I too liked the way he played in the two games against us and the odd Hoffenheim game I've seen. But he got injured in both games against us and is currently injured. That's a small data set I know, but that last thing we need is more sick notes in the squad. So maybe not quite Kewell or Sturridge but no thanks. If we are gonna bring in sick notes, M. Reus please.
  14. Who wrote that tripe on the wall? I get the sentiment. I get the idea of wanting to convey the importance of Melwood. But the two paragraphs are horribly written. Reads like a teenager trying too hard to write something with depth and weight. Looks and reads very amateurish. Better still don't write any descriptions on there. Just leave it as Melwood. In trying to describe the importance of the place, those shitty paragraphs make it look and sound like we are forcing a type of "Image". We know how important the place is. Stop trying to sell the "Image".
  15. In Italy right now. Spent the last 4 days in Rome and loved it. Stayed in Trastevere. Food was ok, surrounded by tourists but it's a close walk to all the major attractions and the food tents on the Tiber at night. Recommend Spirito do Vino (whose wine cellar is allegedly 160yrs older than Rome) and Gelateria del Teatro (it's a chain but is superb). Now staying at a Villa in Strada in Chianti just outside of Florence for a wedding all week. Today we went to San Gimignano, the castle and the tower is worth a climb and good gelato too. Went to Panzano. Dario Cecchini's butcher shop is lovely and fairly well priced. The man and his staff are most generous and friendly. Went to Castello di Verrazano winery in Greve in Chianti and and that was superb. Off to Florence tomorrow as Siena on Wednedsay. Italy is quite stunning. Will post pics after the trip.
  16. G'day mate, I suffer from alcoholism and am happy to help in any way I can. But I want to be clear that drinking wasn't my problem. Drinking was my solution to my problems. Alcohol was my crutch. I used alcohol to help me deal with minor, major and any issue I've ever had. School, work, girlfriend, wife, football...whatever alcohol helped me deal with all of it. I've been sober for 5yrs, and it was easily the best thing I've done in my 39ys of life. I didn't just stop drinking. Through hard work I changed the way I thought, reacted and behaved so that I didn't need alcohol as a coping mechanism. I hope that makes sense.
  17. Fuck me, I RISed that up well Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  18. Easily the best game of baseball I've ever watched. The ups and downs were fantastic. Can't imagine what it must have felt like for Cubs or Cleveland fans...
