  2. Yeah I'd do the draft too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. He's certainly got potential to be good but again a sign of how crazy transfer fees have gotten. He got 15 goals in 63 games for Juve before coming back to Real and getting 15 last season. No guarantee he will be a success in England, don't particularly rate Lukaku but can see why Utd spent the few million extra for him instead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You're drunk I don't know if I need to justify my name to someone named cloggypop but its a banger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsHr_hWU0Xc great shoe too
  5. It seems very early but fantasy football is back already. Welsh forfeited his third place £10 prize for re-entry this season so guess I will run a league for people on here again if there is interest. It's the official Premier League game http://fantasy.premierleague.com Anyone who wants to join this league can send £10 entry to me via Paypal. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you my Paypal details and then the code for the league. I'll put up a list of who has paid as the money comes in. We will do a prize for first, second and third place and give Dave a cut for the site. Just put this on MF the other day and already have 10 so if you interested send me a PM and add your name to the list: 1. Trimm Trabb - Paid 2. Welsh - Paid 3. Twelvesmallsteps - Paid 4. 6. In the unlikely event of a City draw away at Watford we would need to win by 3 goals to get third.
  7. 0-0 again would be just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Mostly agree.. I might recognise Chelsea's defensive dominace by sticking Courtouis and David Luiz in for DDG and Van Djik. And Alexis Sanchez maybe deserves a place based on his goals and assists this season but to be fair he has spent the last few months throwing his hands in the air rather than trying to help the team.
  9. Thought this while extremely frustrating was interesting: Mini League for the Top 6 (each side has played 5 games) Liverpool 11 Chelsea 9 City 6 Arsenal 5 Spurs 5 Man Utd 5 Points dropped by top 6 to the rest: Chelsea 2 Spurs 8 City 9 Arsenal 9 Man Utd 11 Liverpool 12 And the top 6 combined has only lost 5 matches to the other 14 teams. Shows in stark terms how badly we need Spurs to win tomorrow night. Also what happened to this theory that all the TV money in the league meant that the mid table sides would be more formidable as they could attract a Payet, Shaqiri, Cabaye etc?? 10. Think this will be him stepping off the PL manager merry-go-round for good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Migonlet Clyne Lovren Matip/Klavan Milner Hendo Wijnaldum Lallana Firmino Sturridge Mane Matip back in for Klavan if he's fit but if not v happy with the same back 5. Can or Wijnaldum is probably the closest call when we've everyone fit. Think Klopp favours Can but I prefer Gini's extra speed - Can just seems to slow things down a bit compared to the rest. Firmino is definitely out of form -his touch/passing is off but he has still gone close to scoring a few goals in the this 'bad spell'. Klopp will keep faith with him regardless and it's not like we have many alternatives for wide left. Finally would go with Sturridge ahead of Origi - without Coutinho we are lacking our major source of guile and goal threat - Sturridge brings that in abundance and if he trains for next week would start him. 12. Schmeichel Neville Ferdinand Vidic Cole Ronaldo Keane Gerrard Bale Suarez Henry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Pity Gomez and Ojo are only just back in training - would be an ideal game for them. If we got through then got the winner of Hull/Newcastle in the semi would be a great chance to get to another final. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I agree - I think we look a lot better when every single one of our front 6 is a quick athletic player. Can (and Sturridge) are still great players who are great to have in the squad but when it comes to improving the first 11 I think that CM spot is the most obvious one to look at it. That fact we can say that about a quality player like Can given how depressed we all were about the left back position after the opening day is season is a sign of how of well things have gone this year so far. 15. How long will it take to get news on Coutinho's scan? Tomorrow or Monday? I refuse to carry on with the rest of my life until I get a definitive diagnosis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Agreed they were very different players. I think Keane actually ran games in a way that Gerrard wasn't able to do. He dictated the pace of the game, filled space and orchestrated his teams play - watch back a full 90 minutes from his prime, he constantly demanded the ball off his defence and started things and his control and passing was flawless in that position. In terms of shooting, long passing, crosses, speed and more Gerrard was superior and Keane couldn't have done what Stevie did in the 2 finals or provided the brilliance Gerrard did on so many other occasions but I think Keane was worth more trophies to them than any other individual player they had up to Ronaldo. 17. I think Keane is the most underrated midfielder in Premier League history. His touch and passing was immaculate and he knew how to run a game. Tactically he was better than Stevie although he was obviously less spectacular. I think people think more of Keane's aggression and personality now and that has diluted people's memory of his actual style of play on the pitch. I went to every game of Ireland qualifying for 2002 World Cup and the string of performances he put in during those couple of years were the best I've ever seen from one player. 18. Think Sturridge deserves to start. Looked really lively when he came on yesterday, felt Klopp could have put him on about 15 minutes earlier. So Coutinho back in midfield and Firmino on the left for me. I'd actually put Wijnaldum in midfield and leave Can out of our first 11. Can has actually done pretty well since he has been back in the team and provides some physical presence but think Dave mentioned it one of his Match reports that it's really noticeable how much slower he is compared to the rest of the team and how our play slows down while he's on the ball. Also seen a good bit of Sunderlands last two wins - they gave up a lot of chances and only for Pickford should have conceded 2/3 in each games. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I think we spent so little in Summer there should be money there if the right player was available, which to be fair is unlikely in January. Wonder how that Alex Texeria fella is getting on in China? Waiting January and spending on Mane instead looks inspired now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Don't think Payet has the pace/work rate for us for the money he'd cost. Redmond has a lot of improving to do at Southampton before he is ready for a top team - don't think he'll make it personally, reminds a bit of Sterling with his passing/shooting letting down the rest of his game. 21. Just reading stories which have obviously come from Shaw's agent saying he was baffled by Mourinho's comments after Swansea game as he was nowhere near fit to play and has been on injections most of season coming back from leg break. His brother wrote loads of tweets criticising Mourinho a coupe of weeks back so I'd say he's finished there. Mou has been bullying him since arrived which is strange as he is one of the players at the club who has talent and his best years ahead of him. Suppose Mou prefers his full backs big, strong and defenders first so Shaw doesn't really fit the bill. Would be a great fit for us though. Memphis Depay on the other hand is shit and seems more interested in Gucci purses than making it in football. Only attacking player in England outside top 5 I'd want us in for is Mahrez who would be a good fit for us. Leicester won't sell until summer as they are through to knockouts of the Champions League but he would be a great addition for next season when we're back in Europe. 22. Nah I was in work so I missed it - obviously the game went well was just wondering how the atmosphere outside compared to the welcomes for the bigger games and did it seem to add to the atmosphere inside? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. How'd this go then? And how was the atmosphere in the stadium after it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Agree - could be a catalyst for changing the atmosphere inside the ground too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. We have 13 so far in for the pay league. Any more takers?
