  1. The Caradoc was by my old house in Seaforth but I only ever ventured in once. Me and my mate had been at a function at the Lathom and my mate was convinced there were strippers on at 3.00 on a Sunday afternoon.

Went in and it looked like an 80s club where Bernard Manning would gig, no strippers and just twonold fellas playing dominoes. No ale on taps to just served us 2 cans and gave us a plastic glass. Put our feet up on some plywood which was on top of bottle crates and got told by the manager to stop putting our feet on the stage.

Left and went the Gateway Hotel nearby which was awful, stunk of wet dog and full of smackhead looking types who'd just coke over and sit down next to you talking bollocks and not taking the hint that you want to be left alone. Fucked off into Crosby after that

Meanwhile, back with Everton, this guy is being way too reasonable for GOT.

It's madness that the 14 "other" clubs in the Premier League are agreeing to this. They could easily call for an emergency vote and quash all this in no time. It makes no sense that the ONLY teams that are allowed to operate at a loss are the Scab 6 that got in before these were rules were made.
But that isn’t the case. There are massive losses throughout the league. All FFP really is designed to do is limit the loss according to revenue. For financial health that isn’t the evil aim some make it out to be.

The irony of the discussion about Villa and how they are being unfairly constrained by FFP is that they’d almost be certainly be worse off without it- without FFP Newcastle would’ve spent their almost infinite wealth and rocketed past them, likewise without FFP Chelsea or Man U who apparently are both on the limit would have no constraints. If it was just done according to actual owner wealth rather than revenue the likes of Villa would have no chance.

Everyone wants everyone else constrained, and that’s why it got voted in. Yes, you can argue it locks in existing inequality…but you can also argue it prevents it from getting worse.

Which is basically the argument that they can't get their heads around. They probably think the government will at some point let Usmanov do what he wants and spunk more of his money on them. But they are owned by someone who won't put any more money in and if sold they will be owned by some dodgy unambitious US chancers who never spend any of their own cash.

At the moment they have no money so if ffp was abolished Chelsea, City, man Utd and Newcastle would just spend whatever they wanted. The only good thing for them is that FSG wouldn't bankroll any massive spending spree so at least we would be left behind which would make them happy.

If FFP was abolished and Liverpool were taken over by an owner with unlimited funds their fans would want it reversed to stop Liverpool spending money. They only hate the rules now because Liverpool have been successful and they haven't while they have been in place. The Sly 6 is just Bitter Evertonian speak for Liverpool Football Club.

  3. Evertonians remind me of that woman on Question time who voted Tory for years then kicked off when her tax credits were cut.

They've never been arsed about anyone but themselves and have enjoyed Man city beating us to league titles a bit too much. They've been bragging about being rich and how Usmanovs dodgy money was going to get them all these great players.

However, now that something has directly affected them because theyve wasred a load of money and they are still shit they are moaning non stop how unfair it is and trying to get everyone on their side to feel sorry for them.

Ah got it that tournament was the one where Ferguson devalued the FA Cup to take part in it.

No, they won the Intercontinental Cup in 1999 in Japan beating Palmerias but then opted to go to a new tournament in January 2000 in Brazil which is what the World Club Cup is now with champions of each continent.

It got binned off after that one tournament and they went back to the old format of Europe V South America until Porto were the last to win it in 2004. We played in the revamped tournament in 2005 when we played a team from Costa Rica in the semi final then lost to Sao Paolo in the final.

The old Intercontinental cup had been going since the 1960s but a lot of European teams refused to enter due to the violence and bad security, especially playing against teams from Argentina.

  5. The board have played a blinder. They've got away relatively lightly apart from a few fan protests and they've managed to convince them that it's all a Premier League/Sky 6 Cartel conspiracy against the club which prevents them challenging for anything.

Yet they've had access to Premier League money for 32 years and are on the brink of administration. Something the likes of Derby, Wigan, Portsmouth and Reading have been or been close to.

WTF is the intercontinental cup ?

The older version of the World Club Cup. Was played between the European Champions and the South Americam Champions.

Liverpool played Flamengo in 1981 and Independiente in 1984 losing both games. The games were a one off in Tokyo.

When we won the European Cup in 1977 and 1978 we didn't participate as they were over two legs and the away legs in South America were marred with violence. Pity as in 1977 we would have played Boca Juniors but Monchengladbach took our place when we declined. My mate is a Borussia fan and said both legs were played about 7 months apart.

  7. A few weeks ago I was going to Lidl and there was a double crossing on the main road. It was around rush hour and the roads were mad busy and noisy. I got to the other side and there was a blind woman there with her guide dog. The guide dog seemed affected by the noise and the woman was just standing there with no one seemingly bothered about her.

I got to her side of the street and offered to help her to the other side to which she seemed made up, she said she didnt want to take up anybof mybtime but i just joked that i just wanted to getbout of the house for some peace and quiet.

I told her we'd have to stop at the island in the middle of the main road and then walk over to where I'd just come from. She said she could find her way home and said thank you for helping her as she'd asked 2 people to help her but got completely ignored. Got upset knowing how hard her life must be and how much I take for granted something simple just walking to the shops.

  8. Seen loads of these trophy haul lists the last couple of days and the mancs still saying they've won the most trophies. Even counting charity shields as trophies including the ones they've shared.

Then they say the Super cup and world club championship aren't really trophies but for some reason include them in their haul.

According to our Champion's Wall we are on:

    League titles- 19

    FA Cups - 8

    League Cups - 10

    European Cup/CL - 6

    Europa/UEFA Cup - 3

    European Super Cup - 4

    World Club Cup - 1

    Total 51

    Man Utd

    League titles - 20

    FA Cup - 12

    League Cup - 6

    European Cup/CL- 3

    Cup Winners Cup - 1

    Europa/Uefa Cup - 1

    European Super Cup - 1

    Intercontinental Cup - 1

    World Club Championship - 1

    Total - 46

The rest of Europe treat the Super Cup and WCC as major trophies whereas the Charity Shield was always just a pre season friendly to open the footy season in August. It's never been treated as a Super Cup like in Italy or Germany and has been shared in the past when the game ended in a draw.

  9. He can save Liverpool millions. He will probably start the Sparta Prague away leg. Looks to have a good goalscorers instinct looking at those goals last night and the footage of his academy goals.

Don't think we will have any problems with homegrown quotas for the next few seasons.

    It is a shite draw.

Another game where even as shite as they are we can't really choose to go under strength (although we may have no choice given injuries and kids have been good of course) - And they'll be revved up to fuck for us and full strength and will no doubt make it a shitty, horrible game.

It's their last chance of a trophy but just knocking us out will be enough for them. Pity it isn't at Anfield.

  11. It's mad the way Evertonians seem.to have loads of friends who support teams that we end up playing in finals. I remember them having loads of family and friends who supported Spurs when we played them in the 2019 CL Final. These friends and family all tood them that our fans started fights with them and caused trouble in Madrid despite no reports anywhere of any trouble.

Mad for a set of fans who are all allegedly based in the city to know so many sets of fans from all over the country.
