  1. Im worried at the noises ive heard from Gillett recently such as not being able to catch the top2 overnight and its gonna take time etc. The fact is we have the best defence in the league and maybe the best centre midfielders in europe. What we need is quality on the wings and samuel eto. That means we break the bank to get them. Its not like the whole infrastructure of the club neds overhauling. ffs its 2 or 3 top players so give rafa the money NOW so he can get them!!
  2. Agree with all you said there...the problem with our 'support' though is that the 'minority' who either stormed the gates/stole from fellow reds/trampled their own fans was actually about 10,000. Yes there is always a pathetic few who don't give a shit at what cost they get in at every club but why do we have the most? Its because its our culture, many see it as sport - i know loads of scousers who agree with storming the gates. Its a buzz to them, 'make the bizzies work for it lads' and all that shite. Sickens me when i hear knobs on the telly and radio boasting that they got in without a ticket...fuckin woopdedoo arn't you a fucking hero! You are the reason people got gassed you c***. Havn't we learnt anything?
  3. Ok so we know the TO is tinged with corruption but what you are doing is calling into question the integrity of many many liverpool fans who do not have sight of what you are writing and cannot give their side of things. I seen the anger of those most instrumental in the protest, it didnt boil down to getting a ticket for them it was about ensuring we dont get ripped off again by stupid policies and decisions. Ive since got a ticket myself but this issue aint just going to dissapear and if anything, bribery from the club would provide the perfect ammunition for throwing the corruption and cornershop like manner the way our club has been run into the limelight. It just doesnt make sense for the club to do what your saying and not just that, i dont think those fans would turn their backs either
  4. Apparently there is a shed load of fakes getting sold at 500 a piece
  5. is right dave...no doubt that the clubs been on a damage limitation exercise since the protest but the issue cannot just be left in the shade after yet another ticket farce.
  6. It certainly does seem to be all seasies who are getting them and groups as well from who ive spoke to & looking on other forums. It is a bit of a coincidence that so many tickets have suddenly become available in light of the disgust shown by the clubs most loyal supporters. People will say it was the protest, others will say these are just the spares that have gone unclaimed by shareholders/first ballot winners. Fact is nobody will know the real numbers involved this time around as was the case initially. I want to think the fans still wield some power and that george and tom were apprehensive all of their good work thus far had been undone by a stupid ballot. What odds on those 'spares' going to loyal supporters in favour of corporate bodies had the protest not occurred?
  7. I can only go on my own experience and what ive heard. I emailed the T.O complaining about the ballot as did my dad and now we both have tickets for the final. I also know another lad who wrote a letter in and got 1. The pattern seems to be if you complained, you got one....
  8. Got phone call this morning 3 season tickets together on the kop = 3 tickets for athens. Dont think this is just the 'leftovers' - some deals been struck with uefa deffo. either that or george and tom have put the foot down.
  9. at least he's replied which as you say, you wouldnt expect...good gesture that
  10. i think that if i give my ST up there might just be someone willing to take it off may hands...just maybe. thats dispensible in my book ?
  11. The protest outside the ground was a perfect opportunity for all to get involved and stand up for each other. As is life though there are thinkers and there are doers and unfortunately our support is full of too many who will talk about the shortcomings of parry/the ticketing policy/the TO but arnt prepared to stand up for their own rights incase they tinge our perfect 'superfan image'. lost count of how many applauded the chants and banners - ffs if you agree get involved. ok it wasnt the most vociferous protest but it was something and that in my book is better than nothing at all. that said, today was a complete nothingness - couldnt help but think that this is what it COULD be like if the obvious trend imposed by Parry of disenfranchising the most loyal, hardcore reds is allowed to continue and people 'do' as they are...Sweet fa
  12. He was probably given some sort of fixed term guarantee but that can be bought out and lets face it that will be money well spent when you think of the money hes gonna cost us in the long term
  13. I remember thinking how crap he was after the fiasco with reebok, we must be the only club in history to actually have profits FALL after winning the champions league, something largely due to the reebok cock up and coco's failure to negotiate with them a deal to ensure the new kit was available. Im not gonna spiel off the other examples of total ineptness from him save to say hes far too stubborn to admit when hes wrong and that this secret ballot is the final nail for me. people blaming the atmosphere today on the protest is wrong - lest we forget we are the victims in all this and when we stand up for what we think is right others try and say we are somehow not supporting our team on the eve of club footys biggest final. Sorry but were not goin away on this one until cocos head rolls, final or no final!
  14. The protest was left outside the ground IMO. I just want everyone to start dissasociating peoples chants about parry from the players/club. Hes dispensible just like fans are, the club will always be there he wont be and the sooner hes gone the better. I accept that the atmosphere was flat and thats coz people are genuinely pissed off, what dya want us to do, pretend its all honky dory when its not. Touts complaining about not getting a tckt must represent about 1% of those kicking off about the ballot
  15. People with the influence need to get an idea and make sure its a concerted effort because believe me, theres enough of us pissed off to make the club act. it needs to be directed at the right people, starting with parry, then the t.o. and so on, not that i dont agree with you...just dont think something that would directly affect performances on the pitch would muster support.
  16. Gotta be honest my first thoughts after seeing id been rejected were that i was a season ticket holder with a total 43 games on my card and someone might be goin with just 6....this obviously winds me up but totally agree with yer + the real issue is that we have a right to know where them tickets went.
  17. When tickets are so few though surely the criteria has to be more strict - were the only club i know that doesnt have cross competition loyalty and parry keeps spouting the same line 'it was made clear at the start of the year that attendance at cup games only counted for later rounds'. Oh guess that means it must be a fair way of doing it then?! slavery was once legal....guess thats still ok as well
  18. Scouse solidarity boys - no more were liverpool we dont do that sort of thing shite, this isnt about turning on the club, its about wanting some transparency, its about wanting answers...starting with Parry
  19. Well put. As a Kop ST I feel the same way at the mo must say. All 6 of us got nothing in the ballot and i am just gutted that I have been to 44 games this season but somebody who went to just 6 home champions lge games gets the same chance - or should i say more of a chance because i honestly believe many ST's were not even entered into the ballot (judging by the official ballot threads across the forums). The problem is that I think its only going to get worse in terms of 'breaking up' the hardcore of the club to make it more accessible for everyone who wants to go. Loyalty, fairness and justice means sweet fa in a game which is now just a business. not goin to make a rash decision but 50/50 at the mo on whether to rent my ST out for a while....or at least until Parrys just a bad memory.
