  3. I love scouse snobbery. Cuts right through to the important shit. Yer ma got you them at Netto lad! long may it continue
  4. I don’t mind O’Brien but he’s does bang on about his books. If you ever see him in traffic you’d have to do this…
  5. he was brilliant for that season or so at Newcastle He missed a lot of chances while at the mancs, lucky for him he got a hell of a lot of chances when at United, so his scoring record was probably okay/good over his old Trafford career
  6. No one should contaminate beer, but then it was Tsingtao, so no change to the taste https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-67296857
  7. Another job I had, had Toyota Auris hybrid autos as pool cars. That was the best auto I’ve driven in terms of the gear box, smooth as fuck. I can see the point of flappy paddles on a race track, but not roads in UK where it’s heavy traffic and you rarely get the opportunity to drive that way. The odd time of whacking it in sport and dropping a couple of gears for an overtake were pleasurable at first, but ultimately a waste of kit
  8. I’ll go auto next time. Ive currently got my old company car, the firm bought their fleet and it was mandatory to have a manual, assuming for resale value. Anyway, I had a couple of autos when I was on probation with them, as they leased them and I didn’t get choice in that either. The quality of autos has really picked up from when I learned to drive about 25 years ago. The mercs I had were sluggish and fuck in eco and too aggressive for everyday driving in sport, and the flappy paddle was pointless except for when you want to feel like Ayrton Senna. But in normal driving you didn’t notice a gear change at all, so slick and consistent Every time I’m stuck in traffic my arthritic knee tells me you’re getting an auto next time!
  9. Anyone know where the Arteta money is? in jest of course, I had no ill feeling towards the man. Obviously loved his club, sad state of affairs with his relationship with the fans on his passing, hope he finds some peace.
  10. Thought I’d saw something weird before, turns out it was just someone weirdos fucking satellites Fuck Musk and starlink
  11. Yeah that will show Notts County for getting relegated the season before.
  12. A pointless trophy hunt ending with a sinking in a dock? Das Boot?
  13. I wouldn’t be arsed i don’t think with anyone, I’ve never really approached any, except when I’ve been pissed. My ex was good friends with quite. few via the music world and I met some and had chances to meet others backstage or at parties, but never really bothered. Rather than be star struck I think it would be the opposite to my normal reserved self and I’d be compelled to approach them. The two that spring to mind, both of whom are no longer living and whose death actually made me sad, are Neil Armstrong and Roger Bannister
  14. He was on a shopmobility the last few times I saw him, so it would have been scrapping the ground* *im aware the OP’s name, but I’d not be star struck with any forumite, except maybe iRat or windass
  15. Lived in the neighbouring village to me, as did Mrs McCluskey from Grange Hill. Never lost my shit over either, just played it on the level on the odd occasion I’d see them about. Ice cool me
