  1. It‘s hard to look beyond Ron Yeats and Ian StJohn; incredibly significan not only for their playing careers but for the fact that their signings marked Shanks winning his battle against the board over transfer money. The birth of modern Liverpoolfc
  2. McTominay will be at goodison or another lost cause by the beginning of next season, or manu will be deeper in the shit
  3. Joe Fagen, Ronnie Moran, Tom Saunders, Reuben Bennett, Roy Evans and Jurgen Klopp should be automatic additions to the hall of fame the contributions of the first five to our history are enormous and Kloppo’s will be.
  4. There were a good few people who didn‘t think Sir Bob should succeed Shanks at the time; Bob himself says he was one of them. Agree about Stevie G not being ready for a long time yet; open minded about Linders but appointing from within worked well for us till the King went.
  5. Forgot about Gary Mac, I think 2005 and 76-77 Euro Cups weRe the only major trophies won without a scot in the team
  6. No he was injured earlier that season and never played for us again
  7. 76 uefa cup Brian Hall played, he was a scot in the same way Steve Heighway was Irish
  8. Only ones I can think of are the 76 and 2001UEFA cups and 77 and 2005 UCL.
  9. Looks like BT are getting revenge for Kloppo‘s comments about 12:30 kick offs. Can clubs just refuse to play Games moved to inconvenient times for supporters just to suit TV companies
  10. Didn‘t know scousers was a term for twats living in the counties of Flint and Denbigh Dave
  11. The best report of the year Dave, all bases covered, and the right balance between dark and light. Well done and thanks
  12. To quote Mr. Shankly „i hope they both lose“
  13. Nice one Dave, good to have you back. Coleman‘s turned into a mad dog in their las few games hasn‘t he. I always thaught he was an honest pro. but then again once ev#s touched you.
  14. Horrible sequence of events Dave, i hope you and your wife are coping and getting plenty of support. I feel for your dad; he will have a massive hole to fill. All the very best to you all.
  15. Excellent Dave, hope all is good at home. Nothing against Chris but iwould have loved your UNBIASED views on the Arse game
  16. Is the Boundary still open, as a student I worked there when Alfie Taft was manager. Lots of sound people and the usual jam jar of lager brigade in those days
  17. Excellant as ever Dave; my physio is Chilian and a Vida fan; I’ll be printing it out for him.
  18. What I‘ve seen of Declan Rice this season impresses. He would fit our midfield like a glove and is a natural replacement for Hendo. Plus he runs like Jocky Hansen which is good enoigh for me. He‘ll probably end up at ManUre like other WH midfielders.
  19. Top top barrel scraping by Watford. They are a cert to go down now
  20. We beat Birmingham 3-2 in that game jarvinja mentions, it just felt like a loss. Alan Ball when at Arsenal alwys starred againat us. Alan Woodward at Sheffield Utd was a class under rated player.
  21. I#m sure you‘re wrong about UAE‘s national side Dave. If they can afford to get 99% of the world‘s journalists and pundits to turn a blind eye on their cheating, they can afford to bung a few refs. Given the whole ethos of the organisation (and the country) it would be completely out of character for it not to be happening.
  22. Great report Dave, more balanced than I could be. Kane’s interview revealed the true man…..an absolute whopper.
