  1. Kewell, Collymore, Ince, Fowler. I remember Ged saying that Litmanen would go down as one of the club's most important signings. And after the way he played against Palace in the Worthy semi 2nd leg in 2001, I really believed it. I also remember him tucking away a peno and lighting up Anfield a couple of weeks later in the FA Cup against City- I seem to remember the ref falling straight over as Vladi, ahem...tumbled over Nicky Weaver. Again, I thought he was set up to be brilliant. Then he missed the bulk of the Treble run-in and never really got a chance. In modern times, his relative failure (through no fault of his own) is my biggest disappointment, simply because his class was so obvious so early on. And he was a link man:whistle:
  2. He's supposed to be a bit of a player isn't he? I cannot for the life of me understand how. He looks like a camp tramp- bet he's off the radar this time next year. Or worse, on celebrity big brother
  3. It's beating Oasis' greatest hits in the charts according to the radio. The reporter was surprised-personally I can't remember the last time Oasis brought out anything good so I'm not with her on that
  4. I started my career as a firefighter today. Just thought I'd share. And I'm wary that I need to post more in case Dave does "clean up this town"
  5. Will Rafa go for a full strength side as it's against a top side? Have Arsenal been playing youngsters so far?
  6. Click here More proof, if it were needed, that the press may-on occasion- put a spin on things if it makes for a better story. At no point does Rafa even say he has seen the incident...but to read the headline, Rafa is cunting Wenger off. Ah well
  7. I'm surprised that, given this whole thing with Poll at the moment was started by Chelsea (Mourinho, Terry, Cashley), no-one has questioned Chelsea's version of events more. This is the club, after all, whose esteemed manager has admitted to making stuff up about that ref going into the Barca changing room two seasons ago. So for Terry(Mourinho puppet) and Cashley (not the most honest man in the world) to come out (no pun intended) in the press and lambast Poll for conversations they apparently had with him-conversations that no-one else can back up as they were one on one- seems sus to me. Chelsea have made it pretty clear that they feel Poll has a vendetta against them by the fact that they point out the number of points they have lost in games he has officiated. So Mourinho then sends out two of his henchmen with dodgy stories about Poll in an effort to make sure that they never get him again- neither story from Terry or Cole can be proven to have taken place because it is their word against his. I can just imagine poor Mongo going up to Moroninho after the game on Sunday, tears in his eyes, "oooh. that Poll always nasty to me. This never happen when nice Mike Riley our ref". Thats said, I will never forgive Poll for that Arsenal game. Does anyone else remember the strange stare Houllier had after the second red went up? That was the first clue he was going mad. The second was talking to himself the day he had the heart attack. The third was taking Didi off away to Leverkusen. And it all went downhil from there....
  8. Down my way, Neil Ruddock in a seriously cringeworthy radio ad where he endorses a shop that sells clothes especially for fat blokes. He also sings on it. He must need the money.....
  9. I think he was for a bit when Neville and Giggs were injured and Keane had left
  10. Cheers Dave. My mate is pretty adamant about it even now, but I'm sceptical at best. Did sound a bit funny to me. On the subject of vicous rumour though, I heard a great one in about January time from someone who claimed to be a boyhood friend of Jamie Redknapp. He reckoned that Rio Ferdinand was stripped of the united captaincy because Sir caught him nobbing Darren Ferguson's wife.... Now I really wanted to believe this one, but my resolve was shattered when the guy went on to tell me that due to his multiple "successes" with ladies, Rio was actually carrying a currently incurable disease that affects the immune system and it had thus found its way into Darren Ferguson's system. Pretty much the worst rumour I've ever heard but pretty funny all the same. "Keep an eye on the Sunday papers, it's gonna go public any day now..." Yeah?Cheers for the tip mate...
  11. ....one way or the other whether this rumour I've heard is true or not? Mate of mine is adamant (and claims that it is well-known), that the reason Stephane Henchoz was dropped and eventually sold is because he was tapping Sami Hyypia's wife. My mate is prone to believing things he reads on the internet, but reckons that two or three years ago EVERYONE knew this and can't believe I didn't know. I always thought he just (somewhat bafflingly) lost his place to Big Igor at the back. Can someone tell me which is true? Cheers
