First episode was decent enough, and there's clearly a lot of scene setting going on. There has also been quite a tonal shift, with attempts to bring in more humour. Not sure how I feel about that at the moment - I liked the darker tone - but I suppose it's only ep 1...

Well we 'acquired' it with the intention of watching an episode a night, which would have taken us to near the start of the last series. That went out of the window as we found it impossible to watch just one, and our desire to watch GoT outweighed any desire to start watching anything new.

Me and the missus have just blitzed all seven series again in about four weeks. It really is outstanding.

Looking that way now. Will have to find out in the morning - need some sleep!
