  1. I'm not the whopper, some fans have lost it or don't want to admit they were wrong.Ive seen fans say Rodgers should have been sacked when he missed out on the title and he was when we weren't in a position to challenge for the title at the end of October. Now it looks like we'll be lucky to challenge for fourth, fans are happy and Klopps been given a 6 year contract. He was questioned the other day about how badly he wants to win the title and he laughed in the journos face like he thought he was crazy, LFC fans were saying what a man Klopp is, wtf is going on? I don't see what everyone is so happy about, it seems like everyone loves Klopp so much because he comes across like a normal fan.Personally I preferred having a genius in control like Rafa who's forgot more about football than the average fan knows.
  2. If give you a U for ungraded, neg me all you want I don't believe a single LFC fan would be happy with those transfers. We are selling our best cm and are replacing him with a player who couldn't get in Udineses team, a young lb who has never played a game in the prem and our biggest signing was a player turned down by Rodgers and LVG. I'm hoping I'm wrong but as I said a few days ago I'm already thinking it's going to be a waste of time under Klopp.
  3. Jesus fucking Christ, this is like Hodgson all over again. The fans who forced a good manager out are getting what they deserve by seeing the grass is not greener while the rest of us have to suffer the consequences with them. For the love of God LFC fans when Klopps time is up finally get it in to your heads that a mangers success elsewhere does not guarantee anything at LFC, there's a world class manager who had us as one of the best in Europe when he was here with a budget of 20m a season. It hurts me to think what he would be doing at the club right now, he would sort out the whole squad let alone the first 11 with the money available this summer. There can be no more gambles after Klopp we need Rafa back, let's just hope he and Newcastle haven't overtaken us by then.
  4. I responded to someone who said someone in Scotland who was responsible for the mess we are in now, when Kenny was sacked the owners changed their ideas on how to do things mainly involving the transfer strategy. That is the main problem at the club now and if we want to say who's responsible the blame would have to go on Kenny or Comolli who fucked up in the market.
  5. Rafa is arguably the best manager in Europe and he couldn't keep a good Newcastle squad up, Sam has managed it a few times with much shitter teams. He also got Bolton up from the lower leagues and got them challenging for Europe when the club was in debt and he didn't have money to buy players. He and Alan Curbishley can feel harshly treated as they have achieved things most of the managers at big clubs wouldn't be able to.They haven't failed at a club but one hasn't been given a big job and the other cant even get a prem job.Looking at what Sam has done over the years in the transfer market I think he'd have no problem at a top club, I'm not sure about Curbishley but for the smaller clubs it should be a no brainer to get him.
  6. Not nice to talk about Kenny like that, he didn't do well but he took over at a tough time after Hodgson had fucked up badly.
  7. Who are all these other managers who are clearly better than him and more suited to the job because I can't think of a single one especially considering the FA wants an English manager.I understand why people don't like him as he was a cunt to Rafa but he's a very good manager. If you want to read bollocks read Brian Reades article today about Allardyce, I skimmed through it but when I saw him say the FA can't be looking at him due to his cv I knew the article was complete bollocks. He used Newcastle and West Ham as examples of Sam failing, the guy is getting paid to write that.West ham were as stable as they have been in years under Sam and he left Newcastle because their fans at the time thought they should be playing like Barca. Sams cv is excellent but the press has fucked him over labelling him a long ball merchant, this has hurt his chances of getting top jobs and I can understand why he got pissed when Rafa said it.West ham were playing the same way last season if not more direct but their fans had no problem, when people focus on what Sam has actually done as manager there shouldn't be a debate that he's a top manager.
  8. I've said for a while how Hoginstein said Zorc was responsible for 90% of the transfers at Dortmund, he was questioned about it today and here is what Honigstein said. Klopp was involved in all decisions, but shortlists&targets were drawn up by Zorc. Common GER model. GER clubs will never buy players against managers wishes. But they (managers) rely on DOF's expertise A big part of Dortmund and Klopps success is not at anfield, let's hope our committee is finding some gems this time or Klopps untested eye for a player is good.If the owners were so impressed with what happened at Dortmund they should have made sure Zorc was coming with Klopp.
  9. Same style of play, both like to set up defensively and like their team full of big physical players. As Sam said himself if he had took over Inter when Jose did he would have backed himself to win the treble. I agree with him and I have big doubts that Jose could do what he has with the small clubs he has managed. If he was given a big club to manage and was allowed time he would be successful, best manager for England right now and he should have been hired when McClaren was given the job.
  10. I won't say he's a guareenteed success because it's England and they are known to bottle it but I think he is the best option, including foreign managers. He's the English mourinho, I would say a poor mans mourinho but Allardyce has pulled off things that looked impossible a few times while Jose has met expectations. It may not be pretty football but England won't be getting embarressd like they have been the last few years. He has worked with big name players before and got performances out of them when they looked finished, I don't think the England players are in a position not to do what the next England manager says anyway. They can't complain about anything because they haven't performed under a lot of managers and against weaker teams.
  11. I watched a game of football, you are right though I do wish him the best and hope he does well but I won't be that concerned whatever happens.I no longer want him back, I Want Rafa who with the money available would have sorted the team out this summer. I said I was holding back about Klopp and felt it was too early to say certain things but after seeing what people are saying about Rodgers maybe it isn't too early.Im already thinking we are going to waste a few years under Klopp and that he may have been carried by Zorc.Yes other top clubs would want Klopp but they would be signing top players for him like at Dortmund. What was done at Dortmund when he took over is not what is required at LFC, I was against Ancellotti but seeing as his plans were to add 3 or 4 top class players to build a spine he may have been the better option. When Rafa leaves Newcastle or if Klopp has failed badly by the end of next season we need to get Rafa back, no more fucking around he's the best man for the job and shouldn't have left in the first place.
  12. Im not bothered about what Rodgers does at Celtic, it seems his haters have been waiting for him to slip up and the reaction to the loss is over the top.Celtic will get through this tie easily and anyone blaming Rodgers is crazy, I watched the game and they dominated missing a lot of easy chances. If people are writing Rodgers off because of that result considering everything then what do they have to say about Klopps performance in the final? He set back and watched as Sevilla ran through our midfield and only made a change when it was 3-1.It was almost negligence as everyone could see what was happening apart from Klopp. Atleast now I know when it will be fair to question Klopp and that result probably helps Rodgers in the long run, he'll know he needs to add some quality and the board will know they have to pay up. After what I saw from Klopp last season and looking at the parts of his career where he didn't have Zorc buying players for him I'm concerned. It took him years to get promoted with Mainz and when he did he scraped it, in the top league he wasn't able to put together a team that could stay up. The transfer strategy he is using now is the one I hate the most, we need a player for a position and he chooses someone out of the prem who had decent numbers the previous season. When we've used that strategy in the past it has not worked out well, let's hope Dortmunds success was down to Klopps man management and not Zorcs eye for a player.
  13. Forget that comparison and remember this one from now on.Years ago I watched a lot more football than I do now and we were after a rw, I used to watch games and would look out for wingers who I thought were suitable.By January during the season when we had Morientes and Crouch I saw a player called Jermaine Pennant as the best option, a manager called Rafa Benitez agreed.
  14. Those two finals particularly the Europa league final left more questions than answers.Kenny got to two finals winning one and was shown the door, Klopp lost two and got a new 6 year contract. This is basically a pre season friendly and they will win over the two legs, probably a blessing in disguise for Rodgers to see how shit some of them are early on.
  15. Rodgers has been coaching them a month or less, has made one signing and the team playing is dominating the game and have missed several chances. I see a lot of people are blaming the manager and are holding him accountable for the teams failings, now I know how long we have to give Klopp before seriously questioning him.
  16. I'm not critisicing your views Im just pointing out some things you may not have been aware of, I also thought he was calling himself English to try and gain favor with English people before I saw his interview explaining why he likes to be called that. There's plenty of videos of Benn talking shit about him before Eubanks comments and I think he was right to respond, his actions in press conferences are to get publicity imo and he's said that himself. I admire the way he will say what he wants in press conferences no matter what others say, I do think it may be an act though and don't think he's that arrogant.I watched when Louis met Eubank last week and he doesn't seem to be someone who doesn't care about what others say or think about him, he's either become thick skinned since then or he's acting that way to get publicity for his son.
  17. If England want an English manager he is the best option, I think he would do very well.He would sort the defence out and he's a passionate Englishman so wouldn't accept players not giving their all.
  18. I'm also a big Eubank fan and feel you are wrong with what you say.Benn has been talking about Eubank for months saying how he shouldn't be stealing his sons limelight, Eubank replied to him saying why he is watching out for his son and said he feels Benn should be doing the same. The Coldwell comments were made to get more interest in the fight between Eubank and Dorran and to get a mental advantage before the fight.Eubank said that himself a day later. He likes to be called English as that was his dad's nickname who he has a lot of respect for, he said in an interview months ago that the biggest compliment anyone could give him would be to call him English. Jnr has benefitted from having Snr promoting him and I don't think he would have made as much money if that was not the case, other fighters could benefit from having Eubank as their promoter. There's no point listening to his haters as they are obviously looking for anything to moan about, last week he was ruining Jnrs career by putting him in against GGG too early, this week he is ruining it because he didn't get the fight done. They will moan about him whatever he does, I suspect most who do have daddy issues. As for Hearn he's talking shite, he's not bothered about looking good.He could have made the fight and when people complain could have just said Eubank made the decisions.
  19. @TruegeordieNUFC Love that Newcastle want £35m for Sissoko, here's hoping some daft cunt is convinced by those few games in the Euro's and coughs up! Sissoko is like Moreno, he has all the tools but doesn't have a football brain.I suppose you could say if he doesn't know what he's going to do then how will the opposition, his best run last night was an example of that.He was head down and just ran straight without knowing who was around him. He's shite and a good tournament means nothing, France also had a top player in every position around him which wouldn't be the case at LFC.
  20. Mane didn't beat a player and was not good in tight spaces, his pace got him in behind on the counter but teams don't give us that kind of space in the prem and we saw examples of how inconsistent his finishing is. Karius looked better on the ball than Mignolet and in 45 minutes we could see the youngster Ejaria has the potential to be a top prem player atleast.Maybe we should put whoevers in charge of recruitment for the youth teams in charge of the recruitment for the first team seeing as our best players seem to be coming from the youth team.
  21. Yes, Hearn got him a fight where he will make a lot of money and his reputation won't be affected with a loss.Eubank vs GGG would have been a super fight, this is another mismatch which Hearns seems to do a lot.
  22. Eddie Hearns is a disgrace, we could have seen the pound for pound best against a ferocious world class opponent. He wasn't prepared to negotiate or get less money so now we have a mismatch.People are congratulating him for making a shit fight, I rate Brook but he will lose and use the weight difference as an excuse.
  23. I know, and even though you are being sarcastic I know you know it's true aswell.Players will not like a manager who comes in and shows faith in them and then bins them off after one bad game.I have no problem with Skrtel going and I would agree he should be sold this summer, I can certainly understand him being pissed though and I would be aswell if I was in his shoes.
  24. Klopp came in and Skrtel was starting, he got injured and came back for the second half of the Southampton game where the team flopped the second half and he got the blame from fans.Klopp hasn't given him a chance in the first 11 since unless he rested players for the el. I can certainly understand him being pissed off, Agger was finished years before he was sold but most fans say he was harshly treated being sold when he was.If that is true then Skrtel certainly has been treated very harshly.Skrtel deserves respect from LFC fans, a loyal servant who like Agger turned down big clubs when we were shite.
  25. I don't think lack of width has been a problem, our fbs provide the width and if we are going to play 4231 our wide players should be players who like to cut inside and take shots.Mane has been signed to play on the lw imo, that's worrying as Klopp likes to play Firmino as the number 10 and there are strong rumours psg are trying to sign Coutinho. As for Evil_Ways post I agree playing one twos is the best way to break down teams who sit back, you need players who are technically excellent and can play in tight spaces to play that way though and I'm not sure Mane is that kind of player.
