I went in 2002(ish), the first English team back there after Leeds. It was a decent atmosphere but it generally is in Turkey anyway. Must admit we went on the official trip though as we were a bit apprehensive about doing our own thing.

FAO SOS lads. It should be added to encourage anyone who is boycotting due to the Yanks to get down to the ground and do their protesting outside of Anfield. These are the lads who have made the biggest sacrafice.

I'm doing similar to a few in this thread and not doing any home cup games while they are still here. Couldn't bring myself to give up my season ticket yet. Not going is quite a big thing for me as well as I generally do pretty much every game, home, away and europe

I was waiting at Schiphol airport on my way back from the Dam in 2006 when the Dutch squad had just arrived back after being knocked out the World cup in Germany. We were being linked with Kuyt at the time so I asked him if he was coming to Liverpool, with a massive smile on his face he said 'maybe maybe' and gave me the thumps up. Anyway just thought i'd share that with you. As for my favourite Dirk moment, it's slotting in that second penalty at Goodison and running towards us celebrating like a mad man.
