Forget Henderson and Downing for a second, think of Reina for example. For five years he was one of the best goalies in the world, then suddenly last season he started leaking like a sleeve. Couldn´t catch a beach ball when it was handed to him... ok, that was a year or two before, but anyway, last seasons dip in form was in big part down to Reinas shit form. Eveything went in. What happened to him ? You say that there are 45000 people singing songs about them, they should be arsed, but obviously Reina doesn´t agree with you. Or how do you see the situation ? Was it Kennys fault that he didn´t trust Brad when it became obvious Reina was not his usual self ? Brad did well last season, but he was the third goalie. That brasilian guy wasn´t that good, so I kind of understand sticking with Reina. Unfortunately it didn´t work out too well and I think Reina already had something else in his mind. We have seen the best of him, I´m afraid.

Agreed. The reason for that dip last season was the collective disbelief in front of the fact that everything was going against us. It was almost surreal all those missed penalties etc. It´s only human to step back for a moment in that kind of situation, and nothing to do with bad coaching or anything like that.

The legendary Shefki Kuqi said in an interview of a finnish sport magazine a few months ago, that Brendan Rodgers is the best football coach he has ever had (and Shefki has played under 20 different managers approx.), but he tries a little bit too much to imitate "the special one", Jose Mourinho. So, remains to be seen if he can stand on his own legs or will he just be a failed Mourinho clone...

Yep. In few years time, when Anfield has been rebuilded, and our squad consist mostly of home grown players, like Sterling, Shelvey, Kelly, Wisdom, Robinson, Suso, Coady, Mclaughlin etc. then the owners are really close to winning this race to be competitve again in english football added with healthy financials. All they need to do then is to add a few pearls to the cake and this club will be unstoppable again. Rodgers may go or stay at that point, he is irrelevant.
  9. I think already when Houllier was kicked out the rumour was that certain players (owen...?) wanted Curlisley as a manager, just because he was british. Unfortunately they had to suffer Benitez before they got their wish in Hodgson. Most footballers are stupid. You should never let them have too much power in a football club.
  10. Don´t think it had anything to do with the sale process. I think certain players just had too much to say about who they wanted to have as their manager. They were tired of what was going on. They wanted a Brittish manager, more Brittish players, and all those average foreigners Rafa had bought we used as a reason for the clubs downfall. Things had got to the point where they couldn´t even take their girlfriends to the cristmas party without an interpretator. It was that bad.

Kenny would definitely have improved from last season, but I guess we wouldn´t have seen this amount of youngsters marching to the first team, althought Sterling was already getting a look in and Shelvey also started to get more playing time at the end of last season. But Kenny had definitely spotted the mistakes he had made and fixed them, I´m sure of that.

Voronin back and we would be 50% more attractive... I mean effective.

Strange that Robinson isn´t getting more of a game time. I would play him ahead of Downing as a winger if it was up to me, but I guess Rodgers sees is differently.

Luckily players on average are stupid enough to believe all the stuff Rodgers is spouting, so no worries, things will turn good sooner or later.

    Carroll & Shelvey laughing

In my church people don´t laugh when there is a ceremony going on, nor should Shelvey and Carroll laugh when Liverpool is playing.

Roy Hodgson, know your role and shut your mouth

I was working there, about six months, last year. Living close to city center, working in Dusavik and Tananger. I enjoyed it, although the beer was quite pricey. But that didn´t stop me from going to all the bars every weekend ;)

Roy Hodgson, know your role and shut your mouth

Alright, I´ll try. I´m not a norwegian, but it surprised me a bit what I saw in a Stavanger city center. Maybe I should travel more, I don´t know, but it´s hard to mistake what that army of girls was doing there. Anyway, about Hodgson...
