  1. I was in 208 last night, not my usual spec. Felt like practically everyone around me was shouting 'SHOOOOT'. It carried on despite me saying loudly that it was small time behaviour. Felt like it was coming from locals mostly too, so can't even blame it on wools.
  2. A couple of days on from the shock news of mein held mein kumpel Jürgen Klopp announcing he will be leaving the club in the summer, thought I'd leave a small tribute. Didn't write anything on Friday as my head was all over the place. It still is I guess, but it has at least sunk in now, how much we need to appreciate these next four months of football. No matter what is happening either on or off the pitch, with Klopp on your side it was guaranteed that it would work out favourably. The famous quote that he turned doubters into believers... but actually it wasn't even belief - it was something more than that. Conviction. Invincibility. It is going to be very strange not having that comfort blanket - cocksure that we are Klopp's reds and we will beat anyone, so bring it on. But at least we get to experience that for a little longer. Then when he has left it's not over. The squad he assembled, Liverpool 2.0 is still here, and we have to thank him for not doing a Fergie and leaving his successor with an aging squad. It could have been very easy to throw in the towel last year and leave the rebuild to someone else but as with every decision he makes he has done the right thing. But those players will shape someone else's system, not Jürgens, and that's sad. He's not dying although you'd be mistaken for thinking otherwise, but I suppose it is the death of Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool. And if you want to grieve that, that's understandable. For me, the departure of Klopp feels like we're losing something from the game, not just us at LFC but the Prem and English football in general. He's a shining light in the downright odd and tribal and unfair and nasty spectacle that is modern football, and I'll love the game just that little bit less for not having him around. Thank you for the memories Jürgen, the best years supporting LFC in my lifetime and never to be replicated. Looking forward to making a few more between now and the end of May. And if it doesn't end up with a few more trophies in the trophy cabinet, that's completely fine too. The journey is enough. Either way we'll go into it with conviction and invincibility and see where we end up. "Just try, if we can do it, wonderful. If not, then fail in the most beautiful way." Will miss the guy tremendously.
  3. Had a few beers when I posted that, not sure what I was thinking having Virg in there. Point still stands with the rest though!
  4. Ok I've just seen a compilation of all his pens, he's not cannoning it off the crossbar..
  5. Would he though? Mo, Virg, Trent, Macca & Jota for me. Darwin probably after Dom on 7th. He would cannon it off the crossbar, I'm convinced of it.
  6. Great pod. But damn! I've just thought of a great question that needs answering at some point : We manage to get to a final this season and it goes to pens. It goes to sudden death. Darwin steps up - what's going through your head?
  7. When do you think we will get some new chants going - first knockout away trip of the Europa League? Seems daft that we rely on that as new player chants are well overdue. Which players most deserve a new song? What do you make of the new(ish) Diaz and Jones chants (unconventional intro included) ?
  8. Haha that's creative! Good on the little cunts.
  9. This. I've been telling it to anyone who will listen there's two different types of boxing now, two totally different sports. Last night and other boxing/MMA crossovers, those weird Youtuber celebrity fights, Tommy fuckin' Fury, even Anthony Joshua tbh, they're all have more in common with wrestling than proper boxing. Focus on entertainment and hype rather than skill. Boxing is very much alive as long as you ignore these types of bouts. Dubois and Itauma are incredible British heavyweights and potentially future world champions. And Usyk is a classy boxer too. Womens boxing has never been better. There's a lot to still look forward to. For starters Cameron v Taylor on the 25th Nov Billam Smith v Masternak 10th Dec
  10. It was an ever madder choice than Fleetwood Mac - it was Sting! A proper 'your da' thing to say.
  11. Shared this when we first signed him but to be honest the lyrics were a bit shite. Updated them now and think it might have legs (it's about the most famous song to come out of Hungary). https://youtu.be/CGt-rTDkMcM To the chorus He's our Dominik Szoboszlai, boss at everything he tries, Midfield maestro our number 8, he's just fucking great.
  12. Oh aye it was said in jest mate, I'm mostly impressed to be honest. My Mrs wouldn't allow me to get away with any of that. I get her back though by being right about everything. Although that pisses her off too. God bless her.
  13. Bloody hell lads this is like being in a Bernard Manning convention.
  14. "Locked in your cages, 15 minute cities. They’re getting rid of our carbon, not the cars, not the planes, ours and that’s how they’re going to do it.” They're .. getting rid of our carbon? But that is the most crucial structural element on which all life depends. Monsters!
  15. Definitely feels like he's having a dig at Henderson there.
  16. I don't understand anyone who invites a literal wolf into their anus.
  17. God that's got the stench of midlands banter merchants written all over it hasn't it. Glad I've never heard it until now. For what it's worth, I like Poetry in Motion - just the context it being sung in the Brendan era is a bit cringe.
  18. Last one from me, outside of LFC who is your favourite team in the UK, Europe and the world?
