I get this far, but the usual drop down.box where you select who to forward it to isn't showing.

Tried it on two different browsers.

Sorry I should have checked that bit. Mine is the same, no drop down. I know they restrict forwarding until a few days before the game sometimes so might be that.

They can’t help themselves making this hard work!

Anyone unable to forward their ticket for the city game? I'm not sure if it's due to being on a new phone (now on samsung after years on apple and really dont know what im doing yet but surely a website is a website?) or something else.

Anyone gone from being able to forward tickets to not able to forward tickets got any answers?

Looks like it’s working as an option for me but not tried to click to see if it works to actually transfer though.

Might be worth getting on the chat to them, they sort most issues pretty handy

The PL have been quite tight with all these financial charges.  One the keys to City's "win" at CAS was them demonstrating all the leaks from UEFA showed an organisation that already had a verdict in mind. The PL's silence on the City case has been remarkable and clearly shows they have learned from UEFA's mistakes. Hence I think any call by Campari or Barcadi or smirnoff is pure bullshit.

That Tony Campari account is a twitter blag by one of the blues. Rattled loads, had the geordies fuming about something he had blagged a while back

Hendo needs his fucking head looking at, he's picked up that injury that kept him out for the last part of the season yet he's desparate to play in the Euros. Will they never learn?

Im sorry Trent's injured as well but I think he wasnt going to the Euros as England's 1st or 2nd choice right back. He's another who should stay at home and get fit for next season which now looks to be the case.

Looking at his reaction he’ll be doing well to start next season fit. Didn’t look happy at all

  5. Grealish (despite the idea he’s a bit of dickhead) solves a lot of our problems. Goes past players, can create and has a decent shot on him. Ideal to play against the teams who are sitting in defending deep against us. In the age range we look at usually as well.

If their was some way we could get him in, ideally with Firmino going out, then that would make us a lot better

10 if they win their game in hand.

They were around mid table for a while.

Useless fucking cunts making the decisions at the club.

They don’t have a game in hand now. It’s 7 same games played.

Unless you are taking into account our loss tonight which would be fair. If you carry that through the next 5 games we’ll probably be 15 behind them

He's looked decent in a few cameos but he was very poor last night. Physically he was always going to struggle but had hoped he had the technical ability to compensate for this like Yossi Benayoun or Luis Garcia have done for us.

Because those 2 usually started wide and drifted in or where playing off a front man they didn’t have to hold the ball up as much. He’s been the lone frontman most of the time he’s been on the pitch (ignore last night playing with Origi who is now a hinderance) and he’s struggling to get into the game, he’s finding the space but can’t protect it. Same thing Firmino struggles with when he’s not on it. In glimpses though he looks a decent player

  8. Not really much to be shitting ourselves over. He’s 2nd choice there, he’d be 5th choice here behind fabinho

Not seen the young lad play but he doesn’t improve the first team either immediately looking at his numbers for valencia.

Unfortunately I doubt that’s the end of the spending for them. Koulibaly could make a huge difference for them

  9. As shit as it would be him leaving, you couldn’t argue it if he wanted to go.

If we maintain our league form he’ll have won the biggest trophy in our history and be remembered as one of our greatest, he’s scoring at 1 in 2 and has done 4 seasons which is about par nowadays.

I hope he fancies another couple of years here though as we’re currently at worst competing with Madrid like for like in Europe and he’s probably our 2nd most important player

He's still their most successful manager in recent years with his 8th place Euro qualification. Previously it was Moyes in 2005 but they don't want him back. Carlo has some big shoes to fit into.

Lest we forget Martinez and koeman both got them in Europe. Without them we wouldn’t have had that Devine comedy

  11. They were in the best form they’ve been in for years when we played them last season and we were in our worst form of the season at that point.

They won’t have the same confidence and it looks like they’ve lost some togetherness. Will still be a tough game and I expect their crowd will be bang up for it

  12. If this cuts down on touting which is rife at Anfield then fair play.

They need to find a way to facilitate people sharing a season ticket and the owner still going regular.

But to be honest the season ticket holders who haven’t been a game in years but rent it out because they like having a ticket with no intention of going again are stopping the waiting list moving so that’s a problem too. I hope they do something about that

Spurs to get sessegnon and lo celso. They're beginning to stink of ambition.

    I like sessegnon.

Sessegnon was underwhelming for Fulham last season considering the hype. I’m not overly worried short term but Pochettino is a good coach and could make him into a very good fullback.

The reports reckon he’s going to play left wing initially though.

No point talking about city in some ways, they've got an outstanding squad and anything they buy at the moment is to bring some depth in the position they have and allow for some continuity as the some of their players are getting the wrong side of 30. It's pretty fair to assume though, they've made par high 90s points and I see no reason why they won't go there again, so unless you're happy not challenging for the league, high 90s is the target.

I don't care about any of those behind us right now. I think your assesment makes their changes appear in the most negative light you could paint them. But as far as I'm concerned, they're not city's business, so they shouldn't be ours. None of those sides will beat 90 points.

So what it all comes down to for me, is what we can do. Can we be as competitive on the league as last year? Well a simplistic view is yes as we've held together the first XI. However, there are more factors. Our forwards have only just stopped playing. They will likely struggle early on. We had that issue to some extent last year, but sturridge started the season well and was able to do his only work during that spell. This year we're to rely on someone who's never played 1st team football or origi. We've also lost cover at left back. I'm not arsed Moreno is gone, we should have shifted him years before, but why shouldn't we replace him in the squad? Then there's the fixture list. We're guaranteed to play 50 matches this season if we don't win 1 cup game. That's harder than last year, with a slightly thinner and more tired squad. Then what if we actually managed to win some domestic cup games? That's more pressure on the squad right there.

For me the squad at best is the same as last year, but with the impact of the summer on our forwards and letting sturridge go, I think we're a bit behind. And the season is going to be tougher. And now we're European champions, maybe more of a scalp and games getting more difficult.

So here's the thing for me. If you're happy with something in the top 4 and if things our way a decent CL run, then not adding to the squad I think is fine. If we've any real aspirations of winning the league, we should add to the squad. Personally I think we're settling for the former.

Lots of good stuff in here and we’re broadly in agreement. My post was in response to some cry arsing about our rivals strengthening. Some have but not significantly. We agree that we’re the 2nd best team in the country still next season.

I want us to win it but in my eyes the key to that is taking at least 4 points off city ourselves rather than the other way round.

We need a left back to back up Robertson, I think I said that in the original post. I would argue us getting Chamberlain back makes us stronger if he gets back to fitness and we have to let him try to do that. Same way we have to give Keita a go at being the player he’s meant to be.

Brewster if he can sprint is better than Sturridge in my opinion. He was gone at the end.

The point about the front 3 I also agree with but I don’t see anyone who comes in and sits on the bench. We’re not breaking our transfer record for a back up right winger who is 1/4 of the player Salah is. If Pepe does what Shaqiri did in his last season for Stoke people will say Pepe was a decent signing. We have Shaqiri. We have Origi who has shown improvement and we’re meant to be in for another versatile forward. Get them and we are better than last year.

Beat city at home and get a point away and we’re close to winning it again

Your point was incorrect.  According to you Arse "Front 3 with Lacazette and Aubameyang and they get destroyed in midfield by any team that can counter".  No they wouldn't if they were to get destroyed it would be because they lack the players in the positions you mentioned in the quoted post above.

In that case, we agree. They will get destroyed on the counter attack playing them 3 as they’re shit and don’t have the players behind to support being a Liverpool rip off

  16. 1 hour ago, J-V said:

Do we get destroyed on the counter?  Yeah I thought not.  All three of those players are full of running and interchangable.  If Arse get Pepe added to Ceballos and Saliba (if they don't loan him back this year) they'll have a very good starting 11.

You're missing the point I’m trying to make J-V.

You are correct we don’t get done on the counter but our keeper, backline and midfield are miles better than Arsenal. I’ll even say Gomez, Lovren, Keita, Milner and Chamberlain (our back ups arguably) are all better than any of Arsenal’s starters in their positions.

None of their front 3 get in our team like for like either by the way.

They’re a shit show of a team. They haven’t got the platform in defence or midfield to play that front 3

  17. I can’t see who has strengthened out of the teams we’re up against.

Where are Arsenal playing Pepe? Front 3 with Lacazette and Aubameyang and they get destroyed in midfield by any team that can counter

United have signed a right back and are selling 2 of their better players in Lukaku and Pogba

Spurs are getting rid of their first choice full backs and signing a centre mid. Nothing ground breaking there, they lost 13 games last season.

Chelsea have lost one of the top 5 players in the league

City have brought a lad in who plays the same position as their most important player

Nothing to worry about from our rivals.

if we can get a back up full back at worst we’ll still be challenging for the league and European cup

  18. I wouldn’t measure Depay on his time at the Mancs. They had last season van gaal then first season Mourinho. Lad was on a hiding to nothing.

you can see why we’d want him.

Its nothing like Balotelli either. Balotelli was replacing Suarez as our main man. Depay’s replacing no one, just an option to change formation or off the bench.

If Klopp wants him I’d back him to have a similar impact to Shaqiri. Solid, not spectacular and will contribute when needed

I always think he looks embarassed by it all. I wonder if a big deal was made regarding the ffp, would he walk before the shit hits the fan.

I doubt he walks any time soon but he has tried to distance himself. He said something like “I believe in what my owner and my sporting director say, they tell me their is no problem and we are within the rules so I believe that”. When he said that I thought he was giving himself a bit of room to get off the hook with the “I’m only the coach” angle.

if it’s happening he knows. They either think they’re too clever for everyone or plan to bully their way out of it. The arrogance with which they’re handling themselves probably suggests both.

in some ways it’s a shame because they’re a good team on the field and his coaching and set up of them has been excellent. Helps when the dice are loaded granted
