Do we have any forumites in Japan? Since Ronnie survived the Thailand coup nobody's been involved in anything worrying.
Don't we have one in Lebanon? Or he is under constant threat, so that doesn't count?

Scrap that, looks like you might be able to anyway.

Typically I'm going to be obnoxious here and post a quote that I just cannot comprehend at all and break my own rules as I'm not sure who said it but:
"My passion is Internet security"
Misquote. My quote was I'm passionate about identity security. Protecting your identity happens both online, but also in real life. Whats there not to comprehend about it?

Not sure whether Arnesen is there in a tapping up capacity, or more likely as a former Danish footballer...

They both made me laugh, but, have i missed something here? Please explain. Who got blew over by the wind? RedKnight? Tell us the story uncle Dave.

Yeah, if I wanted to kill someone, I guess a gun might not be the way to go, if you want to be 100% sure they're dead....

I didn't see the programme, but were they talking about mitochondrial DNA? If so, that kind of DNA is passed down the maternal line essentially unchanged, unlike regular nuclear DNA.
From mitochondrial DNA analysis, scientists have determined that the vast majority of people in Europe are descended from just 7 women (the "Seven Daughters of Eve"). They know roughly where (geographically) each of these women came from.
They didn't go into specifics, just revolutionary new ways to test your DNA.
They talked about 4 different world sources of people from the DNA.
European, Sub Saharan, East Asian and native American. Then they divided European up into 4 parts, Northern European, South western European, Eastern European and South Eastern European.
They said that your DNA contained small pieces of each of your ancestors, but that each of those small pieces also contains info about that ancestor I didn't know.
They could give percentage, i.e you're 21% European and 79% Native American. Of those 21% you're 45% North European, 55% Eastern European, and you're likely to be from Ukraine.
Those numbers etc. is just taken out of the blue, but it is quite amazing they can pin point you that accurately, just from your DNA.

on Channel 4 at 8?
2 things which really struck me from the programme.
First I really liked it that these 100% British thinking types all had to take a hard long look at themselves after knowing their ancestry.
Second, I was quite surprised you could determine your ancestry all the way back, i.e. for the last 10000 years just from a DNA sample.

Edit: I wonder if he still stand by his famous words from 2001:
eWeek: While security seems to be less of an issue with XP than it was with 2000 and the operating systems before that, users still say XP remains vulnerable. What are you telling customers about security issues in XP and how they are being handled?Allchin: Windows XP is dramatically more secure than Windows 2000 or any of the prior systems. Buffer overflow has been one of the attacks frequently used on the Internet. We have gone through all code and, in an automated way, found places where there could be buffer overflow, and those have been removed in Windows XP.
We have also turned off by default a whole set of things so that users are configured in a minimalist kind of way, making them less vulnerable. We also put a Win XP machine naked on the Internet and let people try and crack it. There have been no entrances and no issues so far.

Not scoring as much as the other team? Does that also go under thee Gypsy curse thing? If so, I say our next target should be romania to stamp out those gypsyes.

I was 4 years old when my old man took me to Anfield first time. God bless his soul. If it wasn't for him, who knows whom I might have supported. AGF, last season first time ever in the second division in Denmark, and LFC, going through a tough spell. Do I want to change? NO. Do I want it any other way? NO. Nothing in life is easy, why would I want my football to just steam roll everone, that wouldn't make it the thing it is for me today. I love my football, I love following them through thick and thin, and if you don't know the bad times, how can you appreciate the good times so much more?
Oh yeah, I cried the whole way through because I was so afraid of all the noise, so said me dad anyway. Me I thoroughly believe I carried myself much better at my first game at Anfield.
-
I don't have a choice. There's something about your Dad taking you to the Kop at age five that stops you supporting anybody else, plus 50,000 mates would give me a hard time. However, that doesn't mean we should not express ourselves. There is something wrong right now, some of the senior players are off their game (and some like Sami and Steve F may never get back on it!) and it's clear that we've made some bad buys - we've put names on shirts, not quality. Gonzalez, Aurelio, Zenden, and probably penant are not Champonship winning qualit. Let's face it!

No need for that.. :no
Agree.

On a different subject, reading are 3-1 up against spurs. Doyle has scored again, hes a good player.
Watched him several times while he was still playing for Cork City. He was a really good player then. Good to see him go on to bigger things and do well.

They haven't? I use Grisoft, and they are ready. As are Symantec.
Which companies are not ready yet?
In spite of, not because of.
-
I do think they will have done their homework on it and are well covered.
Kick in the nuts for McAfee etc.
If their track record is anything to go by, they will have done exactly the opposite.
-
Better security, better back-up solution, better user management and better (scalable) graphics.
Sorry Captain, but I really want to see someone else than M$ comment on this, and time will tell. I really hope they have managed to make it much more secure, but if their track record is anything to go by, I really doubt it. That M$ hasn't made sure that all the big anti virus companies has gotten their s/w updated for Vista, in my eyes is a very stupid and even arrogant idea.
