  1. Aye, its Kate Bush's dad with his storm machine!
  2. Aye its not sentiment on my part, I was referreing to the 'undercurrent' in the articles about him 'getting carried away' or needing to carry on working hard, he seems the last person you'd expect to sit on his arse and soak up some good press...
  3. I agree with the lack of cover for RB, I'm quite happy with Warnock at LB to be honest, like you say its a weakness - but its not tha kind of weakness that will put a huge hole in your season the way a missfiring strikeforce will!
  4. We pay his wages so we can call him what we want, this autumn i shall mostly be calling him Kite.
  5. Bascombe said in the Kuyt article yesterday that its pretty much nailed on that he and Bellamy are going to be the first-choice in attack, and that Crouch will have to work hard to reclaim his good form of last season. There's also been references to Rafa not wanting him to take his foot off the gas and become complacent... Couple of times in Bascombe articles there's been an undercurrent of something where Crouch is concerned, In a match report last season I remember him writing something along the lines of 'Crouch proved that he is what he was bought to be, plan-B' He also got a good ribbing from Bascombe for his robot dancing, again, something along the lines of 'Crouch should remember which fans stood by him while the rest of the country labelled him a failure, and not be drawn in by his new-found fame' Crouch has never appeared anything other than a sound lad when i've seen him, plus he's still in the goals, so whats it all about?
  6. I'm always optimistic but at the beginning of most seasons there's usually something to flag up as a weekness, don't think anybody thought at the start of last season we'd do anything in the premiership as we knew we were lacking firepower and width, If you asked me were our weaknesses are now i wouldn't know! Whatever happens this season, there's gonna be some great footy played at Anfield.
  7. Nice one, thought I was losing the plot! Said to my mate (okay, it was actually my mother), 'did they just say Kelt or Kelp???' cue blank expression.
  8. Dirk from Dragons Lair! I see what you did there! ;)
  9. Kite, but i swear once or twice i've heard him called Kelt! Nobody believes me though!
  10. I'll be honest, I was happy with the Bellamy signing but i wasn't expecting him to look as good as he does, the finish in the Haifa match was vintage Fowler.
  11. It wasn't like this summer thats for sure, short bursts of baking heat (wasn't it 36 degrees at one stage?) then days of grey skies with intense humidity, bit of rain here and there and then the odd flash storm. Still, if it brings Palm Trees to Southport - I'm not complaining..
  12. Yeah its coming down hard! August isn't it? Global Warming at its very finest!
  13. With only five minor errors, in rush hour traffic, and the Runcorn Bridge was involved in the equation. Ayrton Senna is up there right now nodding his head approvingly as i type this.
  14. HaHa! Class... Young Bull says to his dad 'Dad lets run down to that field and f*ck one of those cows' Dad Says 'No son, lets walk down to that field and f*ck em all!'
  15. Get in sonshine! I passed first time though
  16. Ray Charles wouldn't shag Pat Butcher, and he's blind AND dead!
  17. You'd have to go some way to find a face like Luke Chadwick who used to play for the mancs.
  18. Kuyt Bloody hell, someone already updated his personal website with a Liverpool page! You can vote weather you think he'll be the right man for liverpool, two of the choices are 'yes he is' and 'of course'
  19. I didn't see that, I was too busy watching Errrdgar Davidsh
  20. Its a shame that, sign of the times though i suppose.
