Bascombe said in the Kuyt article yesterday that its pretty much nailed on that he and Bellamy are going to be the first-choice in attack, and that Crouch will have to work hard to reclaim his good form of last season.
There's also been references to Rafa not wanting him to take his foot off the gas and become complacent...
Couple of times in Bascombe articles there's been an undercurrent of something where Crouch is concerned, In a match report last season I remember him writing something along the lines of 'Crouch proved that he is what he was bought to be, plan-B'
He also got a good ribbing from Bascombe for his robot dancing, again, something along the lines of 'Crouch should remember which fans stood by him while the rest of the country labelled him a failure, and not be drawn in by his new-found fame'
Crouch has never appeared anything other than a sound lad when i've seen him, plus he's still in the goals, so whats it all about?
