The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has told Ireland to remove its peacekeepers from an outpost on the border with Lebanon as its invasion of the country continues. Sources confirmed the request was made to the headquarters of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) and individual countries contributing troops, including Ireland. Israel has been told the troops will remain in place.

I've said in the past but the beauty part of their demise is the fans are directly complicit in it. Because of their sheer arrogance and the fact many of them aren't proper foot fans, but small town jetsam that've been attracted to the brand and simply want to brag and insult - they simply don't have the patience or understanding needed to countenance a long term project. Hence, all you'll get is 'next big things'. Next big thing young players, quick, easy signings costing over the odds. It's like trying to feed a beast that doesn't know what's best for it or why.

I still love the beeb, its radio stations are great as is its sports coverage, documentaries etc. It's been hollowed out by the tories and replaced with lackeys, that's why people like Maitlis left. Panorama and News night were the best in the business along with Dispatches on C4. Get rid of that and you're left with tonight with Trevor mcdonald, which hasn't been presented by Trevor mcdonald for 20 years, and its investigations into DIY Brazilian butt lifts.

I think the Lib Dems will do well out of this in the medium and long term, they could become the official opposition, which would be great.

Didn't Jenrick get 25 grand from a fitness company with no staff or something? It's apples and pears, there's no suggestion anyone in Labour has given anything in exchange for what they've received, it's dumb/disheartening rather than corrupt. Me personally, I expected better of a former head of the CPS riding into town promising a return to the politics of service. No he's not broken rules, but still. How much more betrayal can I take? I feel like I've been stabbed in the heart.

Yep, political sense also and bad advice from those around him. Even if you yourself could afford two grand glasses without a donation, why would you buy some while asking other people to suck up more cuts and hardship? Also, saying something like "I need the arsenal box because I'm the PM now", I'd just say don't go the match, that's life isn't it? A footballer gets famous he stops going his local pub, it's life.

I'm no longer on the Darwin train. He's an inverted lightsabre, a less precise weapon from a less civilised age. This version of liverpool is gonna be about precise attacks, taking chances and playing it safe when you're ahead. The days of taking 40 shots and maybe one going in have had their day.
