  1. Three others got really arsey..........
  2. That film was dead ace. It was like a real life Call of Duty. Cool. How do I play? Sorry...have I missed the point?
  3. Whoa ladies!!! Why the negativity about my comments. I am not slagging off the series and saying it is shite. I have said it is top notch. However, it is grim, uncomfortable watching. B of B was alway superb and none of it was difficult to watch. It was actually quite heroic in the true sense (not in the bullshit Hollywood sense). But the Pacific campaign and hence this programme is unremittingly fucking grim. One long, sweaty, jungle fight after another on shitty little islands. A great programme but much more uncomfortable viewing that BofB
  4. I have watched the first four in 720p and it is top notch. The only thing that stops it from being as good as BofB is the nature of the war itself. The European campaign did have some element of glory and romance to them. The great epic battles and battle lines.THe failed missions etc. There was aclear battleground with epic losses and victories. In the Pacific the campaign was a nasty slog fromone shitty little island to another. No real sense of two sides indulging in epic battles.Just one nasty littlejungle fight after another. As a result the Pacific campaign is less glorious and has less of a clear and defined narrative. It was just like this programme...seriously disjointed and seriously fucking grim
  5. We are looking to go to Amsterdam 26th March until the 30th. We need some recommendations for cheap flights cheers boy and girls
  6. Crazy Heart...dull as shit.....Jeff Bridges....pah..just sitting around showing off his saggy old man boob...2/10
  7. Frequently Asked Questions about Time Travel....a clever central idea, some good performances but sometimes let down by lack of budget...7/10 Apocalypse of the Dead (aka Zone of the Dead).....shitty zombie flick...Ken Foree...shame on you for raping my memories of Dawn ofthe Dead (1978)...1/10
  8. Oh look....that's unusual on the interwebs....a good thread, that has rapidly turned into a pointless argument involving irrational gobshites....never seen that on here before...:wallbutt:
  9. I am looking to go for a mini-break within Europe from the 26th or 27th March until the 30th or 31st of March. Never been to Amsterdam so I fancied it. Open to other cities though Can someone recommend a cheap airline with special offers or a citybreak package? Cheers
  10. Romp...means lively, effortless, rapid etc etc
  11. The Crazies...a remake of George A Romeros 1970s classic. A high budget, entertaining and tension filled romp. Gory and scary in places. Nicely filmed and paced. Unusually for a horror film the acting was top notch. Does not have the sociological gravitas of the original but a good, entertaining romp 8/10
  12. I saw this a few weeks back. A one joke movie that drags on tooo long...5/10
  13. At least he died doing what he loved! (6)
  14. Actually the picture is just after the tackle when he has rebounded off Ramsay...But I do not think that the tackle was malicious or dangerous
  15. Come on chaps...if you are going to show this then show the right picture. This shot makes me feel rather ill
  16. In Sheffield we have had 5 inches of snow overnight....trying to leave the house was like watching my car ice dance like Torville and Dean but much less cuntish
  17. Is the correct answer. I never blubbed though because I am a real man...grrr Plenty of dust in my eye when I watched it
  18. One of the finest pieces of television ever made. Still good even now...... One Summer TV series (1983)
  19. And as it is just about to be released here I will repeat my review THE LOVELY BONES....one of the best films I have ever seen. A truly uplifting and gut wrenching experience. The type of film that movies were made for. Susie Salmon is a 14 year old girl who narrates the movie. She begins my mentioning that her murderer is a neighbour who has been watching her. She states that she is to be murdered and she is. A truly gut wrenching portion of the film. I was almost tempted to turn it off I found it that hard going. After her murder she is in between heaven and earth and has to decide whether to encourage her family to get her killer or whether to help the family heal after the grief. Stunning. Absolutely stunning film making. 10/10
  20. Dead Snow...a Norweigan horror flick involving young uns going to a cabin for a break, snow, and Nazi Zombie. Great gore etc 6.5/10
  21. Ahhhh eating cigarettes in the night.....
  22. Ahhhh Series 3....the series with Salma Hayek's chest.....too bad Jack loses her
  23. What the scene in the bunker with her killer when she realises that something is wrong. You would have to be inhuman not to find that tough going. And it was an amazing film despite being neither gay nor a woman
