To move into IT at the moment is, in my opinion, not the best idea. The IT job market is poor, the money is not what is was, and not many companies invest in employees. However, if you have 7+ years good experience using J2EE, C++ or .NET, and is willing to move down south (M4 Corridor or London) then you can still earn good money and work for a top-notch company. I’ve been in IT for the past 8 years, worked and lived over the place – including London and San Francisco – and if anybody could offer me a way out I would jump at the chance. If you’re still interested then I can send you the official Microsoft .NET and SQL Server training material. They might be a bit hard going at first, but they contain a load of stuff that will help you to get official Microsoft certification. Rich.
