  1. I don't buy that transfers will be even more fucked up next season, unless you can predict even bigger vanity spending from the fossil fuel states -- that's an unknown that can't be predicted with certainty. On the other hand, bubbles burst, that's what they do. If you look closely at the spending of this window, the big spenders are: MC (oil), PSG (natural gas), MU, and Milan (with borrowed money from vulture hedge fund). Of those, only MU spent the money they could recoup (sustainable spending). Chinese money had been shut down, not permanently but at least until their looming financial crisis over bad debts eases. Milan are in extremely risky situation, their commercial arms are expected to perform miracles to pay back the debts .

Liverpool are in a peculiar lose-lose situation in which losing Coutinho would very likely ruin another season, even £130 mils won't compensate for the time and progress lost. But retaining a distrusted Coutinho doesn't assure the season won't be ruined either. It's pick your poison and live with it.

  2. The only thing that's weird and ridiculous is that you're trying to post on an internet forum without knowing how to read.

Mea culpa, I misparaphrased you. But let me ask you a question, when you said something so vague, how was that comparison supposed to be understood?

I can assure you, most people wouldn't read into it as "similar to Veratti on the ball IN TERM OF STYLE, but has more end product, BUT IS COMPLETELY INFERIOR/DIFFERENT."

At the very least, you were intentionally oblique to sell a point, which amounts to half-truth. But whatever, have your semantics victory.

  3. That's because he isn't, you weirdo. But if you read a little earlier in the thread you'll will find that Xavi said some nice things about him.

OK, which is more weird and ridiculous, saying Seri is "better than Veratti with more end production" or mocking you for that sort of hyperbole?

  4. Seri is class. He's similar to Verratti on the ball but has more end product. That he's short is a non-issue. The big towering oafs in Ligue 1 don't get near him and the ones in the Premier League wouldn't either.

I'm surprised you didn't say he's better than Xavi and Xabi Alonso combined.

  5.

The riddle for me is he's acknowledging that he needs players to beef up the squad and in the same conference he's saying it won't solve the problem. So which one is it?

It was his round about way to say not every problem has a guaranteed solution, and getting defensive because people had little faith in in his ability to solve those problems eventually?

Look, this might have caused by cultural differences -- and people might as well have spoken in different languages. The English ever since the fuck-you TV money are used to throw money at problems (or having their sugardaddies throwing money at superstars) and expect them to be solved. Germans like Klopp are used to a more prudent approach -- that they're willing to work with what they had. Hence the stark contrast in reaction between Brendan Rodgers and Klopp to the fabled "Transfer committee" that riled many in this forum so much.

  6. I heard Klopp say in his latest conference that the squad is thin and he wants to sign players but that signing players isn't the answer to not conceding goals. It's on the training ground apparently. But who is on the training ground?

It's like they're speaking in riddles.

C'mon, that wasn't a riddle. He meant the act of signing wouldn't solve any problems, only working on solving problems (on the training pitch) does.

The subtext here is he's being a little stung by the criticism and took a whack at the magical thinking that signing new players would somehow solve our defensive deficiencies.

  7. He's an idea -  you sell a world class forward for 75m then you replace him with one or two world class talents. You don't fanny around with mediocre / shite players for the 10-15m mark.

Except that those players aren't available. Once Alexis Sanchez turned us down, there wasn't really anyone else that fit the billing. Marco Reus would have been nice but noone really believes he owuld move. On the other hand, you still need to increase the size of your squad.

  8. Surprise surprise... Exactly as I predicted yesterday (see previous pages) and I've been abused and insulted, by the same, typical sky generation supercunt fans.

Borini, decided to stay, so the liars would not pay £8m to get a proven goal scorer in the team.

The Journalists, who are so low quality that it is actually pathetic, were feeding you lies all week, about paperwork issues and similar bollocks. Now the feed you that he failed his medical, although there is NO OFFICIAL explanation from the club, or the player as to why the deal is off. So it's your choise to eat the bullshit they feed you or start thinking critically.

The club is run by a fake scouser idiot, who is a salesman, along with some accounts. That's the reality. The deal would never go through, since Borini refused to move and Reina plays Napoli's game.

we are missing out on a potentially HUGE player.

Because there's absolutely no possibility of Remy ACTUALLY failing his medical? What's the field of your expertise again?

I hope it's not law, because anyone would realize Remy and his agent would sue FSG in light of such shenanigan faster than you can fold your tinfoil.
