  1. Yucatan in stoke newington. Probably a bit late now.
  2. Maradona Hagi Stoichkov Iniesta Gullit
  3. Run to the corner flag where you have a sega mega drive set up with fifa 95 going through a huge sound system, and start button bashing through each of the 3 goal celebration sound effects.
  4. Hairdressing girlfriend is the way forward. She charges 55 at work.
  5. The Sound and the Fury would make a pretty shit film, or anything which isn't so story-lead. I also thought the film Dune couldn't possibly have worked but saw it recently and I quite enjoyed it.
  6. I think the biggest problem they have is too many luxury players faffing around on the periphery, like Neymar Ganso and Robinho. If they had fat Ronaldo of old in this team they would walk games like last night.
  7. I don't see at all how Lucas is to blame for Brazil's attacking impotence, He was "doing a job," and doing it well.
  8. Perhaps not quite the best but there was a thread about whether people sat or stood to wipe their ass which really rocked my world. have gone with philly's pictures of people if they had down syndrome.
  9. After a recent XBMC-a-thon i have this to report... Somers Town 4/10 more like shite meadows Hanna 6/10 Good but instantly forgettable Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings 8/10 made meadow's shit-fest seem even shittier.
  10. I raised this point in the previous thread. The fact that Ronaldo is equalling his scoring record says some more about the gulf between the top 2 and the rest than Messi's standing in the pantheon of all time greats. Also people are talking like Maradona played in the 20's, to honky-tonk piano accompaniment, not during a period of great Italian teams/defences/hatchet men.
  11. turn the chat off to save yourself the eye-aids.
  12. Far from identical IMO. Maradona was totally one-footed, had an incredible passing range as well as the dribbling skills, and dictated the way his team played. Even the dribbling style is different, Messi is all side foot, Maradona little toe pokes. I think Messi is incredible, but agree he doesn't have that magic, everything always makes sense, I never get that "what the fuck did he just do?" feeling with him. In short Messi should start taking drugs, he's too square.
  13. I know that, just making the point that goals aren't the only barometer especially when another player (who nobody would make a claim for being the greatest ever) is posting almost-equally freakish totals. I think its more to do with how much better Real Madrid and Barcelona are than everybody else, and the fact that those two players are the focal points of their respective teams.
  14. Except Cristiano Ronaldo, who does come close every season. Voted Maradona, like Messi and Xavi in one player.
