  1. Unfortnately I think it'll be two english wins tonight. A few injuries wouldn't go a miss though.
  2. glad Dortmund knocked out those cheating shithouses. neither team will trouble any of the sides from the other side of the draw though
  3. tie massively changed with the red card but Barcelona have been poor tonight. Not helped by an obvious bought ref
  4. Don't see enough of the old fashioned shit number 9's who just score goals. Luca Toni was a classic example
  5. the upper body contact was perfectly fine but the psg player tripped his back leg
  6. Gungodan got tripped in the box (was looking for it but he did get tripped) so he got booked and then the ref sent off another barcelona coach
  7. They've been quite reserved since taking over but they've now had a taste of the CL drug and the exposure it provides. I think the idea was to grow 'organically' but after a good season last year that will probably change and the expectations/demand will now be much higher. I wouldn't rule out another arm of saudi investment looked at other PL clubs and the newcastle owners started their own multi club syndicate. A few big clubs around europe still need bailing out - Valencia a prime example. Lyon another ready for pickings. Its all shite but it seems that is how the game is now going sadly and its fucking shite.
  8. Yep there's no deterent whatsoever. If I were the Newcastle CEO i'd be throwing £500m+ at the squad this summer.
  9. And can they play centre back?
  10. Its come to the point where you can't defend the indefensible. He just misses far too mnay good chances. Its just the same as having a great player whose injury prone. You can hope & pray it might come good but when it keeps happening time and time again it reaches a point you've got to call it a day.
  11. This team look like they won't in another game this season nevermind challenge for the fucking title
  12. Reminds me of a quote from then Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness (albeit a decade old) "We could charge more than €104, lets say we charge €300. We would get €2m more income but what is €2m to us? In a transfer discussion you argue about that sun for 5 minutes but the difference between €104 and €300 is huge for the fan. We don't think that the fans are like cows who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody and that is the biggest difference between us and England" That is season ticket prices btw
  13. Going to be a tough, nervy game given how shit we've been at both ends of the pitch recently. Would be nice to keep an clean sheet and out forwards being able to hit a barn door but i'm not holding my breath
  14. It will need to be a pretty significant rebuild again. The clubs top scorer for the last god knows how many years needs replacing, question marks remain over virtually all the other forwards at the club. A dominant midfielder is still needed and top class centre back is a must. I'd also be looking at a new left back too
  15. After a really good start he's been very poor I think. Certainly not contributing anywhere near enough to the team
  16. He's been poor for quite a while now, still scoring goals but his overall play has been poor. He'll be off in the summer anyway
  17. A throughly dry bumming. Klopp's last european game at Anfield. Let that sink in
