  1. Most of our players have had the odd month off injured though. Only a few have played most of the games.

Who knows why this is happening right now, probably a mix of a few things. Klopp leaving, some players not being as good as we thought they were, injuries disrupting our flow etc.

Let's hope they can somehow pull themselves together and start performing. It's now or never.

There'll never be a better chance for him to be Liverpool manager. The stars have aligned at the right time.

I hope his breakfast bratwurst is cold tomorrow.

Exacrly. It's a rare thing for the Liverpool job to come up and would be rarer still that he would either be out of a job or ready to leave his job at the same time as us needing a new manager.

  3. On the surface, it seems like a sensible career decision by Xabi but I think it's actually a bad decision.

We are a big club where he is loved and where he would be afford time, that's a rare thing in football.

He may have his eye on the Real job in a couple of years, but a few bad months there and your out on your arse.

I think it's fantastic that Sven wanted his football swansong at Anfield.

As soon as he mentioned it being his dream was to have managed Liverpool, the fans were always going to make it happen along with the club. The wonderful side of football.

Obviously that even though he never got to manage us that Liverpool is still his club.

It frustrates the life out of me when teams do this all the time and we do not. Usually we also end up short-strawed with our players getting loads of minutes.

I couldn't care less for international football but there should be something in place to prevent this kind of thing,  Haaland is basically the Norwegian Giggs when it comes to internationals.

International football has lost it's mystique. Most of the best players play in England now so it doesn't have that effect it once did.

Part of me would like to do away with it completely but at the very least there shouldn't be such a thing as international friendlies.

If you go back through their thread they’ve been talking him down for a long, long time. So maybe not reactionary.

Although it's not certain, maybe he will have less sway at Liverpool than he did at Bournemouth. Also we've got such a good backroom team of transfer that he'd have to be total shit to mess things up.

As someone previously said, from what has been written about him, he's more of a negotiator. Fingers crossed.

Michael Beale binned off from Sunderland.

The Rangers power couple of Gerrard and Beale isn't faring too well away from the SPL.

One of his players tried to shake his hand after he was subbed and the manager just completely blanked him. Some of these manager's haven't got a fucking clue when it comes to man management. It's great having a tactical mind etc but you need to keep your players and fans onside.

  8. I was reading an article about Ruben Amorim & he sounds really impressive. When he was at Braga, Sporting paid £8m compo to get him in even though he was very inexperienced so he must be highly thought of in the game.

I'd love Xabi to be our manager but Amorim could be a good option.

  9. Xabi seems the obvious one and there's slim pickings elsewhere. De Zerbi is a good coach but there's just something about him that makes me think he's not right, just a feeling.

Amorim positive reviews but can't pretend I've seen much of Sporting and never even seen him interviewed.

Ancelotti(not going to happen)would probably be a good bet for two seasons until someone takes over.

    This is fucking shit.

I dont care but announcing this now is a fucking shambles. Announce it when we fucking win the fucking lot. Not now.

I dont care if a journo found out- It shouldnt have even come out of Klopps mouth until then. fuck fuck fuck.

    actually devastated

It's hard to know if it's good to know now or at the end of the season. Pros and cons. I'd prefer to know as we can make the absolute best of him and also the fans &, players can use it to help us in the last few months of the season.

Quickly moved on from the suggestion that England 1966 might have been his dream job.

Bit of a strange suggestion that he might have wanted to manage the 66 England team considering Sven didn't start managing until the late 70s. Also it's pretty well known that Sven is a red. These tv presenters haven't got a clue.

    This.

From the players I reckon Van Dijk is the most difficult to replace.

I'd add Alisson to that short list. Genuinely don't think we will be able to get a keeper close to his level.

Our attack has been abysmal the last few weeks. We butchered so many chances to create the chance and trent just had to fucking score. 4 points fucked away in a week at home. No real disgrace today but we should've won both.

We desperately need mac robbo and jota back.

We're just plugging gaps with our better players and manager at the moment.

We're still in it, but draws are starting to fucking kill us.

Biggest winners are City. Laughing their arses off they are.

Our last 3 games against these cunts we conceded in the first 2 mins. That needs to stop, and yet again, we concede first. It's still happening too often.

    Huge chance missed.

Agree. Man City have gone away, become world champions & will be confident of catching us fairly quickly. It's been said before that we are ahead or where we should be etc but I don't totally buy into that. You cant plan to win the league in 2 seasons time, you have to grab the opportunity when it arises & this season with City not being themselves in the league is an opportunity we can't turn down. Next season they could be back to their best & we won't have a chance. Got to stop these draws.

I'm of an age where I remember clem, but I was a kid watching him. He seemed almost impossible to score.against. Ali is at those levels. I don't think it's easy/possible to compare players 40/50 years apart. He's an incredible goalkeeper and it seems strange how he's not recognised outside our fan base to be as great as he is. It makes you question if he's not quite as great as we all think he is.

I think we are living in an age in which fans find it almost impossible to recognise that players of clubs they dislike are good. I see it all the time on Twitter. Salah isnt a patch on Hazard. Van Dijk was only quality for 18 months. Strikers AND centre backs are shit these day etc. So many bad takes.

When it comes to pundits, the media and governing bodies not recognising him, I think it may come down to our relative lack of success, certainly compared to Man City. If we had won one more title and a European Cup then I think it would open people's eyes to how good he is.
