  1. Semi-bestial supporters made me laugh in fairness.
  2. Really love him. A world class player. What a steal he was.
  3. Ali may be our greatest ever goalkeeper. Possibly is. However, we would be daft to let this kid leave without a buy back. Personally, I would loan him. He has the tools to be top class.
  4. Cockaamamie - nice reference to Clint Eastwood in In the Line of Fire. Classic film that.
  5. Great post that. Sums it up. Ali is world class and arguably one of the top ten goalies of all time imo. Qweef is a really good young keeper - bear in mind goalkeepers keep maturing. He's not Ali and most likely will never be that good. Equally, in a few years time, he could be world class. We have had lots of great midfielders since Souey went off to Italy. They weren't in his class because players that good don't come around too often. Same logic with Ali and Qweef. They were still Liverpool class whether it was Whelan, Molby or McMahon in the 80s, or Alonso, Mascherano, Gini and Fabinho and yeah Hendo, even if he wasn't in the other's class imo. Even Stevie wasn't as good as Souey, but I guess that's for another debate. Ali fucks up often enough and he is the best keeper in the world. For me, a top goalie shows how good they are by their response. Qweef was poor for Luton's goal the other night, even if he was a tad unlucky. He played well the rest of the game and was world class yesterday. That shows he's made of the right stuff and Jurgen and our great players like Ali and Virgil are constantly bigging him up so I'm sure they aren't doing it just to be sound.
  6. Wow just wow. Qweef was the motm for me, but the senior players really stepped up. Delighted for Virgil getting the goal. The kids were amazing. They looked so composed. I mean I consider Bradley to be absolutely top class already, but the lads that came on just looked so comfortable. We might have the walking wounded coming back in the coming weeks, but these lads will be vital for us in the coming months if we are to win more trophies.
  7. It was only lads on here that made me aware of it. Might as well be a free tenner coming out of an atm. Have young Conor to score as well. He's a confident kid so will get a few goals for us.
  8. Put him in my bet builder. The classic Endo yellow. Love the lad. He's been a great signing.
  9. I think we go light in the Southampton game - we have no choice. You never know one or two of the young lads could have a breakout game and become options for some games. I mean they won't all be like Conor, who looks a once in 10-15 year level talent, but if they could be a decent young player with big potential, then that would be amazing. I love a Cup run, but we need to win the next two in the League, to sit top for City. I'd love to beat the fuckers but a draw might just be the acceptable result, unless we get some good news on the injury front and they lose a few. I hear what you're saying and I thought it myself, but I'd rather have points on the board. We're in the driving seat, whereas on Saturday, I thought City would beat Chelsea with ease and we could drop points to Brentford.
  10. We need a nice early goal to settle ourselves. Kel and the defence will be okay. The midfield is a bit worrying if we were playing City but it will be okay for this imo. Attack should still have enough quality to get us over the line. If we were two up, I'd rest a few for the last 30 mins. It seems to me that we'll be in some bother for the City game, but that aside from that, our run in the league is relatively kind, so there are worse times for us to have an injury crisis. There will be an impact at the end of the season - think the Blueshite game (presuming one or both of us get through in the FA Cup and it gets rescheduled) could fall between two away games. Btw, that's not denying that Luton aren't dangerous. That Ogbene lad is a right speed merchant and while I hate the fuckers, they have given a really good account of themselves this season. Still, this is one, even a half strength Liverpool at home shpuld get over the line. Separately, great that City haven't ate into the goal difference, although Arsenal are scoring for fun right now. It's so tight it could be a goal difference year.
  11. What was great back then was the Italians at both clubs were iconic and boss too. The whole league was amazing. The poorest teams had players like Hagi.
  12. RIP to a great player. That German team had some really iconic players.
  13. I think a problem is that he is injured so much. Sadio, Bobby and Mo had great injury records. Not that people don't rate him but there might be a little bit of out of sight out of mind. I actually think if he stayed fit for a season, he would be regarded as our best player. I love watching him. He's a dynamic player with a snidey side to his game. He could be a real boost for the last few games of the season if two months is correct.
  14. Given rumours of him being out for the season, that would be good news. Ideally he could work towards the Manc game, but in reality we have a few nasty looking games like Villa away and Spurs at home in April where he could be a huge presence. One of the best players in the league. The term world class is used easily, but when he is fit, he is imo that calibre. My Evertonian mate said he reckons him and Foden are the two most exciting players in the league right now, just literally minutes before the injury. You know what, he's a massive loss for the derby. While we should on paper batter them, it will be a warzone and Diogo is ready made for them. Gutted but we have good options.
  15. Yeah Ali is the best of the best but Kelleher is a good and potentially very good keeper. If Kelleher is sold this summer, I'd insert a buy back clause but I agree totally we need a very decent backup.
  16. They seem to have a real problem with Miguel Delaney on Bluemoon. Genuinely if I was one of the handful of journos that raise issues against them, I'd be looking over my shoulder.
  17. Gvardiol is out for two to three weeks, Grealish likely out for a few weeks and Silva took a "big" knock on his ankle. Would be brilliant if they lost Silva for a while. He's a knobhead but a brilliant player.
  18. Grealish picking up an injury is a good result to be honest. All I was hoping for from that game was injuries to them so happy days. Hope they get Arsenal next round and they knock fuck out of each other.
  19. Sorry I meant to say if we win all our games past Everton.
  20. Devilsadvocate is the kind of maverick that could fire us to a title but he could equally be a Rodney Marsh or Tino Asprilla. Pictured out on the town with a gorgeous brunette and a few bottles of champagne always close at hand. Appearing on Graham Norton the night before a game and funnier than all of the other guests. "We're winning all of our games you cheating Mancs bastards and take a picture of that Odegaard you big knobhead". Code is the Phil Neal here. Taking each game as it comes. Giving no soundbites to the media, talking up everyone elses chances. Waiting in his car for the caretaker to open the gates of the training ground to get in a few hours of gymwork before the rest of the lads come in. Anyhow, I can't help but feel that the games up to Everton away will pretty much decide it. If we were to beat City, we would also have away games against the Blueshite, Brentford and Forest boxed off. At worst, we'd be two points clear of both City and Arsenal, which allows us a draw later in the run in. I think it will go to the wire but I'm very nervous about Brentford. They're a good well coached team and Toney is top class.
  21. You're right, some of the results haven't been comfortable for us. The Brighton away was an example of one we left behind, whereas other games we got over the line. Brentford is an awfully tough type of place. Toney is a top class player and they are well managed. They actually gave City a good game and didn't make it easy for them. I would take any type of win there. We need to win the next few league games and the League Cup before the cheats come to town and that will really give us a huge lift. If (big if) we turn them over then that is one hell of a shot in the arm for us that hopefully takes us over the line. Villa and West Ham away look slightly less daunting now than they would have a few hours ago. Everton is daunting because of the occasion, but if we have the right mindset, it's three points. To be fair, the Mancs are awful, but that's still a battlezone. Forest and Fulham just have to be three points, but again it will be the right mindset from us.
