I think some of the criticism is a bit over the top. Last season we hailed Kenny's change in formation for the home game against Stoke after we had been well beaten in the away game under Hodgson. Kenny played 3-5-2 with Agger, Skrtel, Kygiakos, Kelly, Johnson, Aurelio, Gerrard, Lucas,Meireles and Kuyt. It worked wonders in a comfortable 2-0 win. Dalglish must be forgiven for having a go with the same formation. For some to come out and say that once they saw the line-up they knew we couldnt win, is too easy.

Forlan in winning the Copa America copied his father's and grandfather's achievement. Under the new organisational structure - who at Liverpool would now be responsible for getting hold of a sample of Forlan's semen?

At £10mill Gervinho appears to be a good piece of business by Wenger. Composed finishing after pacy runs behold the back-line. A new striker with that profile would do us no harm. -
Hard to tell, but sometimes a change of managers can be a benefit to stagnating players. From what I understand Hodgson is a manager defining each role in details focused on the structure of the team. Some players would respond to that. Lucas is in his best form, and I also think that Maxi and Kyrgiakos have been a ressurection of late. Being Brazilian footballer of the year as 19 year old captain of his team Lucas has not lived up to expectations but I hope he continues his progress.

Im also a sucker for the underdog and its nice to see Lucas responding to some of the critisism he has had to live with. He has always come out very dignified and commited in interviews and seems to be a very loyal and likeable lad.

I am starting to really like Lukas. He has been class for us recently, probably having his best period in a Liverpool shirt. He is a real asset at the moment, rarely spectacular but distributes well and hardly ever loses the ball - a very important aspect for his role. Should be a certain starter now. I think a CM pairing of Meireles and Gerrard might be somewhat vulnerable.
