Really sad about Matthew Perry, I'm of the 'Friends generation ' so he was a big part of our culture growing up. It may not have aged well in some aspects but Friend was great and it's still plenty watchable now when I catch the odd episode (mostly because I've avoided the incessant repeats since it finished so haven't been bored to tears by it).

What constitutes the perfect cooked breakfast?
Karl_b replied to ISeeRed's topic in GF - General Forum
Off the back of these recommendations, I picked up some of the Richmond veggie sausages from the Co-op and had them with an absolute lashing of beans on toast. I didn't take a photo because I was too busy basking in the glory of changing from Heinz to, the much cheaper and better, HP beans. Decent veggie sausages them though, nice one. -

Absolutely top drawer inclusion of an inanimate object, it raises the bar from car keys and conkers. Repped. -

I know a few people that were there last night and they're in a state of shock this morning. An absolutely horrific freak accident.

Filming like that would get you in a bit of shit with any site managers I've dealt with. -
What constitutes the perfect cooked breakfast?

The Maldron Hotel, Manchester. I was at an awards dinner until gone midnight and had 5 hours sleep before having to get up to drive back home to be on childcare duty. Thankfully, the breakfast opened at 6am and, whilst not feeling like anything too massive, I was able to rustle something up from first dibs on the hot buffet. It was above average, the sausages were nice and well cooked, they had freshly fried eggs as an alternative to the "scrambled" ones. The bacon was dry and chewy but tasted ok, the black pudding serviceable and I opted for beans and a hash brown, because I fucking like them both, you cunts. The coffee from their machine was terrible, unfortunately the in-house, decent, coffee shop hadn't opened yet. 6.5/10, just above average and I didn't pay for it. -
Post bowel surgery, I was unable to sleep on my side, which was a big deal for me as I've never been one to sleep on my back. It took me a few nights but I eventually got comfortable with what my wife termed the "pillow throne" - I used 2 pillows behind me with a cushion wedged underneath to prop my head, a pillow either side for my arms and a small cushion to one side of my head to lean against. It was exceptionally comfy and now I sleep on my back with a light touch throne most nights. Definitely stopped me rolling over in the night on to the poop bag.

I've been eyeing up a Patagonia coat for a couple of years and then saw it in the sale for half price around Easter. I can't wait for it to get cold enough to wear it. It beautifully complements my @Babb'sBurstNad recommended Bart's Rayner hat too.

I think the worst breakfast I've posted on here was £30+ from the "posh" Grosvenor hotel (I didn't pay for it). It was absolute muck. -

Looks into Mo's eyes, then spreads the ball out wide. Szoboszlai baby, Szoboszlai, oh yeah. Darwin knows it's true, Dom plays the ball through. Szoboszlai baby, Szoboszlai, oh yeah. -

I don't eat McDonalds, generally but twice a year or so I get an absolute hankering for a double sausage and egg mcmuffin meal, with the hash brown and without fail, always enjoy it. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this outside of this forum. Anyway, the thing that pisses me off about them is their adverts about, and serving of, coffee - all that "coffee but simple" bollocks. Their coffee is fucking terrible. It might be cheap but everything you serve is the same sour, too hot muck from a crap bean to cup machine with god awful milk. And they still have lattes, cappuccino, americano, etc like most places - it's not like you just walk in and ask for a "coffee"; it's some weird inverse snobbery thing going on.
