  1. Both been covered on film and tv, one ingenious, the other bravery or stark staring madness. Operation Mincemeat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia St Nazaire Raid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  2. Have to go with Ray Davies too. Jerry Dammers and Joe Strummer would make my list.
  3. Be serious, he's just one of many many players that would like to join Barca. He's not a Scouser with a deep bond to Liverpool. Hopefully we can prove we have the ambition to make it worth him staying.
  4. I found the Spring Heeled Jack opening story a bit unfocused but it was very good last night. A bit surprised how violent it was in the office. The running theme of the hardcore porn/s&m (?) girl seems a bit fanciful, surely they'd just get another?
  5. An odd situation in that Ed sees to exude no authority or presence. The way he was elected leads me to have less faith in him... But deep down I don't think he's the qualities required to be a party leader - and it'll require more than the nose op.
  6. I do love these old spy thrillers that lack action but are instead character and plot driven. The Spy Who Came in from The Cold and The Ipcress File are two of my faves. Now we have the remake of Tinker, Tailor, - a tough job to match the Alec Guinness tv adaptation: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy: World exclusive international teaser trailer | Film | guardian.co.uk
  7. But like his wife, we must question his stamina to keep it up...
  8. I loved the first Terminator but he doesn't really 'act', so I'd go with True Lies as their some great action and Bond-like dry wit.
  9. Shame we can have both under one league ID then a direct cup for supremacy.
  10. Beyonce is just a pop act, her tunes are no ore foottapable than ABBA. I can see no influence of funk icons - if sampling the Chilites is influence then every act that rips off a riff can make a similar claim (good news for Credit to the Nation), jeez the covers I heard were safe mor stuff by Alanis Morisette and KoL. To use her in the same breath as Prince and James Brown misses how groundbreaking they were. I'd forgotten Kenickie and have no wish to recall them. Laverne reminded me last night of how she tries to keep up with her co-hosts on the Culture Show and 10 o'clock Show - and fails miserably.
  11. Aye when she was likening Beyonce to Parliament, George Clinton and erm punk it was hilarious watching him shake his head. Btw, has Radcliffe been possessed by Peel's ghost. Freaky.
  12. Problem for U2 is circa Joshua/Zoo they set a high benchmark, 20 odd years on now and Bono's voice is paying the price. Not a great set tonight that hasn't sequed as smoothly as usual.
  13. He also does a great turn in Murder by Death. He was great at deadpan humour.
  14. Two characters here, Charters and Coldicott, the cricket-mad duo from Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes and a number of other films.
  15. This one isn't too bad (Severina Vuckovic) Severina VuÄković: Sex Tape - SlutLoad.com
  16. That's Where You're Wrong seems an unashamed rip-off of the Bunnymen's Bring on the Dancing Horses.
  17. Been a few decent episodes of late. Cartman on his mobile whilst being called fat by the counsellor was classic. A touch of his Scott Tenorman payback.
