  1. It's Pammy Anderson's sister! Now where's me Tori Welles films...
  2. I'd agree, but Ged said the same and many of the fellow French nationals he brought to Anfield were poor. Could be a false economy.
  3. I'm not too fussed about his defensive play, it's the decline of his attacking play that's alarming. The burst of pace seems to have gone and he's reluctant to take on players.
  4. Good on him for pitching his pennyworth in.
  5. Thought he was never the same player after the 2002 World Cup.
  6. Looking at the bigger picture I couldn't give a frig who Rooney joins - I'm more concerned that Slur Alex will use him (as Chelsea did Lampard) to coax Gerrard to OT next summer. Even worse... I fear Gerrard would go.
  7. Maybe. The sums from the Houllier reign are pretty painful. The main monies we recouped were from selling the likes of Doom and Fowler.
  8. Yep, jumping before he's pushed.
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/3527702.stm Duff commits to Chelsea By Jonathan Stevenson Damien Duff's career statistics Chelsea winger Damien Duff has ruled out a move to Liverpool and confirmed his desire to stay at Stamford Bridge. The Irish winger has been linked with a move back to the north-west after Chelsea signed Arjen Robben to compete with Duff for the left-wing spot. But Duff's agent Pat Devlin told BBC Sport: "Damien is very happy at Chelsea and cannot wait to start the season. "It's nonsense to suggest he wants to go back to the north-west, there's no way he wants to leave." He added: "Damien has just recovered from a bad shoulder injury and isn't thinking about anything but playing for Chelsea." Liverpool were thought to be interested in Duff after Vladimir Smicer was ruled out for six months and due to long-term concerns over Harry Kewell.
  10. I'd be surprised as I've heard Duff is Abramovich's favourite player. He's also a bit of a sicknote ans we've enough trouble with Kewell.
  11. The Porto midfield was simply more fluid and creative, If I'm honest we still need 2 decent midfielders or we'll struggle to break down teams again at Anfield. The service to the strikers was non-existant and we resorted to hoofing it very early on. But Rafa will learn more about his squad in defeat.
  12. It was 442 Dudek Carra Zak Sami Warnock Gerrard Spud Didi Riise Cisse Owen We were fackin awful. After Celtic, last night was deja vu from last season.
  13. Isn't it being ghost-written by the Graun's Ian Ridley? So expect some stretching of the truth.
  14. What qualifies as an "ace" these days?
  15. Thing to remember is, Houllier also deluded himself that promising players can close the gap on better teams. It can't. For every hit there's three misses. There is no substitute for class and if Cisse is going to pull the trigger he's going to need better supply than our current midfield is capable of supplying. I'm not getting on Rafa's case but I pray he's goes out for somebody who can stamp his authority on the team rather than 'might be better than Finnan'.
  16. If you scoutiong network ventures no further than your old stamping ground then get some farkin scouts hired. Buying average players = having an average squad. Yours Houllier, Evans, Souness.
  17. French manager who floods us with French playerrs Now Spanish manager who floods us with Spanish players
  18. Better than what we've got be at what price in salary and tabloid baggage? He's too money orientated to take a drastic drop in wages. (unless Madrid are prepared to chip in to offload him)
  19. I'm sceptical as it all seems to be snow-balling from one poster on another site. When the two big Spanish clubs fancy a player then tend to try and publicaly unsettle him but I've heard nowt attributed to Laporta.
