  1. Suarez Gerrard They were in different class. The 3rd player can be anyone but i'll go for... Reina Not entirely back to his best, but he looks leaner and meaner and this was his 6th clean sheet in his last 10 league matches, and a huge save that denied Sunderland a way back into the match. Honourable mentions to the rest of the team, including the subs.
  2. I think Shelvey started his career at Westham, but quit the club because his older brother who was also at Westham was not played as much as they thought he deserved...
  3. Is that a real band name? If so, i deem them ace based on name alone!
  4. Page not found comes up... after I repped you!... well, shit happens.
  5. Not too bad. Reminds a little of M. Ward and a young Dylan. (based on the first 2 songs)
  6. I have my taste... but I want to be surprised... take a leap away from my comfort zone.
  7. Havent really discovered some new music that inspred me in ages. Not since Hamstrung made me rediscover Mars Volta again three or four years ago through secret santa.... so come on...give me some tips to explore.... And please none of this Justin Bieber crap from the funny guys, or the beliebers out there. Thanks!
  8. Roses are blue The green grass is hard to find Violets are red And I am colour blind Charlie just moved to Stoke Cos he desperately wanted some Coke This story ends sad No money he had The guy was completely broke And to end this session of brilliant poems i'd like to quote the gretaest poets of all time ... Simmonds and Stanley. "You can call me Dr. Love, call me Dr. Love I got the cure you're thinking of" "You show us everything you got Baby, baby, that's quite a lot you drive us wild, we'll drive you crazy"
  9. I think they have Code lined up for a much bigger role at the club. For a person with far more superior knowlegde than our current manager, the current England manager, former boss Rafa Benitez and...well everyone else involved in football throughout the world, he would be wasted limited only to statistical analysis. Then again... I would'nt be surprised if the club fucked up this as well.
  10. Echo estimated 6-8 weeks.
  11. You should not underestimate the pull Real Madrid have on most young spanish players. Also, if Madrid did sign him, they would probably loan him out for a couple of seasons before he is ready to make the step up to their first team squad. I do think he`ll stay. But if Madrid start to make serious moves to sign him, I would be worried.
  12. I would very much like us to sign Eriksen. He is a star in the making. The last dane we signed from Ajax turned out to be a real BIG player for us. Make it happen!
  13. We did'nt let Ince leave. His contract ran out, we offered him a new one. He rejected it, as he wanted to play 1st team football. I remember whan Hammill was still here the outrage of him being snubbed in favour of Nabil El Zhar. I include myself as one of the many who wanted Hammill to be played instead. Funny point now is that El Zhar has carved himself a decent career at the top level with Levante in La Liga, while Hammill is fading away in the nationwide.
  14. I hate the fact that when people talk about cheating the only thing mentioned is diving. Stoke took cheating to a new level on Sunday, and noone is lifting an eyebrow. The way that the Norwich defender reacted when he kicked and elbowed Suarez from behind and the ran 20 yards screaming to the ref is the worst act of cheating since I last saw a yet another Man U player yet again go down easily in the box. Such behaviour happens every week, when a Huth kind of alehouse player commits an act that would have meant sentencing on the streets, and then cries to the ref about diving. It's shocking that no one ever comments on it in the press. While Suarez slightly passing wind will create mayhem amongst the neanderthals of the press.
  15. Disappointed to see Red Nick has'nt showed up with his obligatory i agree 100% with Dave U post and vote. Oh, and Pigde got my vote as he picked Luis Suarez. Simple as that.
  16. We did'nt sack him. When Kenny was sacked he handed in his resignation, which the club refused.
  17. When he posted under his original username, noone really gave him much attention. At least not the amount his quality posting deserved. I think he then took a brake and when he returned as the count and altered his posting style a little, a TLW legend was born. Was fortunate enough to play Thursday football him the one time I made a guest appearance and I can confirm that the undead long legs was ruling the left wing position. I can also confirm that Stu Monty`s running style is a cross between Gary Neville`s and a girls. And finally I can confirm that Dave Usher brought a new dimension to the term goal-hanger. Even Filipo Inzagi would have been proud.
  18. There are probably threads about this subject already, but could'nt find it. I've just started on season 6 of the Sopranos, and I must say I absolutely love it. But still, it has'nt reached the heights that The Wire did for me. So in my opinion The Wire still ranks as the best tv show ever. Found this article about the very subject as well. The Greatest TV Drama of the Past 25 Years, the Finals: The Wire vs. The Sopranos -- Vulture
  19. Ther blaming of tiredness is for me simply ridiculous. When we had a full squad Kenny still played the same players, no matter how they performed. He rarely make subs, again no matter how shit certain players played. He have consistently played a young lad out of position, rather than play an experienced international in his natural position. Im not saying Maxi is a world beater, but he is a much better wide midfielder than Henderson. Carra tired? He has been "rested" for months. Carroll tired? He has`nt played much lately, yet Kenny still picks the so called tired players ahead of him. I think the explanation is just as ridiculous as the constant "we have improved so much" mantra he goes on about. His team selections doesnt echo what he says.
  20. I dont think it was Henderson keeping Spearing out of the side, as I cant imagine Kenny ever picking Spearing as a right midfielder. I actually think Henderson will turn out a quality player for us with time. But like most others i dont think he is good enough yet to hold down a rugular place in the side. I just dont think Adam and Gerrard are a suited partnership in a 442. When we pick Adam, I think we have to play 3 in the middle with either Lucas or Spearing covering. Spearing could have played more, but injuries, a sending off and a massive mistake against the mancs havent helped him.
  21. I`ve seen the drawings of all three jerseys next season. And that picture looks quite like what I was shown. I like it, I also like the the away kit. The third kit needs getting used too though, and it seems like it could have been designed by Skrtel and Agger.
