    Update - Finished Fairy Tale and I loved it. It's not horror but dark fantasy, references to Jack in The Beanstalk, Rumpelstiltskin and other Grimm classics. It's been compared to The Talisman and the Dark Tower which i have not read, I tried the latter twice but didn't like it, I may make it third time lucky.

    I just started the new Stephen King book Fairy Tale, 100 pages in and again his character introduction, development and building of stories is so brilliant. Some of his endings can be a bit of a let-down but the way he hooks you into a novel is really incredible.

    Could they not use Irish actors besides using the faux shite? Certainly not the completely unfunny Lenny Henry with a Tom Cruise level oirish accent, dreadful first episode. I absolutely love Tolkien and I think he'd be turning in his grave at this.

    I'm a huge Steve Earle fan and that scene is even more poignant in that it almost mirrors his own past, he's brilliant in this and in Tremé also. He performs the song for the closing sequence in series 2 as well "I feel alright".
