    Just started another SA Cosby novel, My Darkest Prayer, I absolutely love his style.

    That was a brilliant match, France had an incredible team but that Portugese team was really good too - Chalana on the left, Pacheco and Pereira in the middle.

    I think the biggest problem is that none of our centre-backs apart from Konate actually want to do the dirty work of defending. That's why Virgil and Konate are the perfect partnership. Gomez and Matip are not aggressive, "body-on-the-line" defenders like Konate - they don't enjoy it, he does.

    I'm listening to "The Long and Faraway Gone" by Lou Berney and it's excellent so far (I'm halfway). a really good crime story. This is the second of his books that I've listened to after November Road which is also superb and set just after JFK is shot. A guy who works for Carlos Marcello has to go on the run as Marcello is wiping out anyone with close ties.
