  1. Now listening to my 3rd SA Cosby book with a break between 2 and 3 to read Chris Hammers book Trust which was decent. Of the SA Cosby books, Blacktop Wasteland was excellent, My Darkest Prayer was good but this latest one Razorblade Tears is really brilliant. Highly recommended Southern Gothic, dark and very violent but the language and style is different and so refreshing.
  2. Wow I never thought he had Irish connections - what part of Ireland are his Dads family from?
  3. Is it 3 young players who have missed significant time with "stress injuries"? Kaide Gordon, Curtis Jones and now Bajetic.
  4. Any small threat disappeared when Nunez went off
  5. We just have to hang in and ride this out, like the City away leg in 2018
  6. I stopped watching the 11.22.63 series as well when it came out, it was just so different to the book, which I absolutely loved. I recently went back and re-watched the series and enjoyed it a lot more. On the Holly Gibney/Mister Mercedes series, Finders Keepers is superb, Mr Mercedes is quite good but slow to start and End of Watch is okay. The Outsider is great and the Holly Gibney novella in If It Bleeds is very good too,
  7. Has anyone seen much of Jarell Quansah? He's getting good reports from his loan at Bristol Rovers.
  8. David Lindley will be missed, incredible musician.
  9. Just started another SA Cosby novel, My Darkest Prayer, I absolutely love his style.
  10. That was a brilliant match, France had an incredible team but that Portugese team was really good too - Chalana on the left, Pacheco and Pereira in the middle.
  11. I think the biggest problem is that none of our centre-backs apart from Konate actually want to do the dirty work of defending. That's why Virgil and Konate are the perfect partnership. Gomez and Matip are not aggressive, "body-on-the-line" defenders like Konate - they don't enjoy it, he does.
  12. Have to say they work so hard, we've been really poor but you have to admire them, they fight for everything.
  13. I'm listening to "The Long and Faraway Gone" by Lou Berney and it's excellent so far (I'm halfway). a really good crime story. This is the second of his books that I've listened to after November Road which is also superb and set just after JFK is shot. A guy who works for Carlos Marcello has to go on the run as Marcello is wiping out anyone with close ties.
