Great round up Dave. I have been saying Howe is a fraud for ages. His teams look great against fellow no mark teams. When they play a decent side and go for it they get s**t on. In todays game you cant only have one game plan. You need to be able to win games in 2 or 3 ways. Sign Wilf and just use him when we have teams who pack the defence like the blue shite and the mancs. That way we have that bit of individual magic who could unlock a defence or go down the wings and get a cross in from wide.

Dont disagree with the comments about Mo, he should be sticking at least one of those chances away. However you cant overlook the fact that there is pressure on the front three because there is almost zero chance of a goal from the midfield. All workhorses and no goal threat. Not saying they are bad players per se but oh for the days of a midfield who could chip in with goals. The whole process is fundamentally flawed as the FA continually states that the 3 man panel is "independent" but when they charged him the statement said while the standard punishment for violent conduct was a three-match ban, that was "clearly insufficient in these circumstances". If that isn't prejudging and clearly putting pressure on the panel then nothing is. Surely grounds for an appeal?
