I think the same, and think it will be £40-£50m at best even from the Saudi's. He's not funding a rebuild that's for sure.

What do you think would have happened without the announcement? -

I honestly don't think, as a team, we're playing much "worse" than we have all season. Performances have been very average across the whole season with only a few exceptions but until recently we've been scoring goals and winning matches by small margins. So without a shadow of a doubt the forwards have let us down recently, that's what's changed. -

For absolute fucks sake. -
I know it's hoping against hope where those cheats are concerned but City haven't looked as confident this season, a bit more vulnerable than in previous years. So I'm hoping this just puts a bit of extra doubt in their minds that they may not be what they once were. Maybe.

I'm finally starting to enjoy this 6 episodes in. Episode 1 did whet the appetite but 2 & 3 were a bit of a slog. Then 4 got me interested and 5 & 6 I've very much enjoyed. Hopefully that upwards trajectory continues through the last 2 episodes. I've never played the game which may have contributed to a lack of enjoyment early on, I'm sure if I knew the game there would have been lots of references to entertain me.

Our title challenge is done so I don't know why I'm watching anyway...but Arsenal are currently benefitting from the kind of fortune that went against us today. That's football for ya.

There isn't better manager than Klopp, a new manager will not get more out of these players. We will not be competing again for the league for a very long time without serious and unprecedented (for LFC) investment in the playing side - this will not happen.
-
I've not especially liked the tactics since we won the league, and particularly the inverted full back situation this last 12 months. And I do wonder if Klopp has gone into autopilot tactically since November (perhaps understandably). But ultimately it doesn't matter and I have no real criticism. We still play lovely football a lot of the time and mostly get results, and Klopp's overall influence clearly has us getting results that bely our, relative, lack of quality.

I have a lot of time for him but he's a problem every match. He's Liverpool's number 9, pretty much a first choice striker or forward, and we can't rely in him to score the easiest chances in the small or big moments. That's a problem full stop, and I don't think it's going away.
-
Agree. Mane was our most important player throughout his time here often occupying two or three players on his own, fighting for every ball and creating space - Salah being the brilliant beneficiary.
-
If any wages saved and transfer fee are reinvested in the squad (IF) I would let him go in a heartbeat.
-
Eh, what gave you that idea? I was genuinely interested to know what you meant by a "different tack", i.e. stop even trying to compete with City? Plough a load of money into it? Or just hope a new manager has more about him than Jürgen?
-
Did you have something in mind, other than an enforced change of manager?
-
Yeah he should have fucked off when he made his decision in November and left us scrabbling around for a replacement and a top 6 finish.
-
How long until the scales fall from some people's eyes? I think the start of the 2025-26 season is going to be very, very ugly.
-
Yeah we can't have a parade now. Just make Klopp's last match in front of the Kop a massive, massive send off and maybe some kind of civic reception.
-
I would have, I would have snapped your hand off for that alone but the fly in that particular ointment is Klopp leaving.
-
You were saying? Not taking the piss, it just baffles me the faith people still put in him.
-
Maybe not but he's gone stale here, everything has been too easy for him. A new manager/club would not put up with the casualness and lack of effort that we have to watch from him.
-
I'm not even angry, just fucking sad. Was hoping to exorcise some demons from 2020-22 but life doesn't work like that. Hey ho.
-
He obviously has great quality but his ego has been indulged. He'll leave in the next couple of years and look like a different player when he does.
-
If we don't win the this year, which we won't, then it'll be another generation before we win it again.

Fucking hell, as if.
