Bang on the money and those suggesting he doesn't know this or that, might want to ask whether he does? How do you know?
-
If we win the league I expect those who say we can't compete as Chelsea/Manchester United are billionnaires etc to kill themselves.
-
Whatever else happens this season, I don't think DIC and their constant leaks to the press are going to be a factor anymore - the Dubai property bubble is about to go pop, and once that happens those particular tyre-kickers will have plenty of other things to occupy themselves with.
Except DIC make money from the money markets not property.
This is the perfect time for them because they get to take advantage of hard up businesses in trouble - as Ansari said "The Credit Crunch doesn't impact on our investment strategy"... they are cash rich.
-
Adil should get a chance as soon as possible too.
-
Lamisol Once I think it's called. 24 hours and it's gone.
-
Join the gym yourself or start excercising saying "I am getting fat" - that will do it.
-
Keane on the right is silly IMO, he scores goals and links play put him closer to Torres and tge goal. Play Gerrard right as we know he can score goals and link play from there.
-
He has put on weight and lost the spots.

real red - I really enjoyed reading that mate - I have nothing else to add to it except to say it was class from start to finish.

Is asking you your age highly personal? Are you a 12 year old girl?
I think asking someone's age and then suggesting they may be 12 is a little insulting Dave. It's also nothing to do with this thread and you are usually the first to point the finger at people who ruin threads. Bit of consistency eh.

His NET spend in his time here has been higher then Arsenal and Manchester United but TEAMS net spend if probably far lower so he has in fairness had to create a team to fight them starting off with a shit base. The issues some of us have is this "Rafa has no money and has shopped in the bargain basement". Now unless you want an Abramovich (which many of you have said you don't) - then competing with United money wise in the time he has been here is pretty fair.
My issues are that he could have kept some of the Houllier players as squad players and improved the first team then slowly shifted out the shite. e.g. I'd have kept Cisse than buy Benayoun, Voronin, or even Pennant given the system he wants to play - as he is quick, scores goals and loves it here. Kuyt doesn't apply here as he was bought as a frontline striker. Once we had the money to get a top class right handsided player then sell Cisse and buy one with the extra cash. I am not saying Cisse is good enough but some of those who have played in his position have not been significantly better.
Anyway he hasn't done that, he has done it his way, he admits the squad is now equipped so we can expect a title challenge at last. I find that article is like a post on TLW forums by Rafa and fair play to him - it's a good post!
-
If the whole forum where one someone elses back like they are with Rashid, my guess is that this person would repeat himself rather often as well in defense of his own opinions.
If people could take the opinions for what they are instead of making things so personal all the time a lot of the repetitive posts would be avoided.
But when 100 people are having one opinion and 6-7 others are having another one those in the minority will have to back their cause a bit more than those in the majority, its pretty simple is it not?
Everyone repeats themself mate, and a lot on here. It's just that some things are allowed to be repeated more than others. If I posted why I love Gareth Barry a millions times I wouldn't get stick...
-
I'm not taking a higher ground breeze block, as for Mourinho at the time he was available and whats wrong with wanting a winner at the club, I stand by what I said that if Rafa left he's the only man that could come in, would you rather mclaren or someone!
Yeah McClaren, Mourinho etc are going to be fantastic when I already have a problem with Rafa's style of play.
-
Then people start quoting some of the durge and it has no rhythm at all. I tried 5 on ignore, I think I lost a page. I wouldnt have learn anything but it makes the forum very ugly.
It's easy ban everyong who doesn't rate Rafa, Kuyt or Gareth Barry and you can then own the forum.
-
I don't totally understand the decisions that Rafa makes but do I repeat my opinion ad nauseam?
I answer people because they continually ask me. Snez had a go at me for my opinions on Barry and has just sent me two PM's asking me to answer his posts on it. It's bizarre.
Unfortunately debating on a forum means we often repeat ourself.. e.g. how often do we need to read that Stu loves Kuyt for us to get it?
-
no need for that vegetable man
You want Jose Mourinho at Liverpool and you expect to have the high ground on anything? :whoops:
-
A good idea would be to ban everyone who doesn't rate the manager - just ban every fucker. Because if repeating oneself is a crime then Stu needs to be electric chaired for his love of Kuyt.
What everyone wants here is a talking shop of fellow mates with the same opinions.
-
I have to say though, I admire the fact that the mongs tend to stick together.
Correct, for once.
-
It really isn't. It suits you to think that because you feel like some sort of rebel "fighting the good fight"
Its your need to repeat yourself, to disrespect pretty much everything about the club, and generally the way you express yourself (and ignore counter arguments). There's also making up things to suit what you're saying (like the red cafe "incident") and your general hypocrisy.
Its all been pointed out to you countless times by any number of people. In much the same way as you ignore things that don't suit your arguments, you ignore the criticisms too. Carry on.
Where do I disrespect the "club"?
I thought there was a free for all on the owners and the CEO - other than that what?
-
Yes it is. Pro Rafa generally liked, Anti Rafa - disliked - generally and don't say there aren't two camps - there is.
-
Discontent at what? I have hardly posted for a few days... why are people so annoyed? There are more pro Rafa than anti Rafa here and the pro and anti are as bad as eachother.. nobody holds the high ground except the pro think they do as they are the "good guys" it's bollox. We all support the same team..and are allowed our views. Look at John Gallagher - he is a big a red as you are going to get and his views are the same as mine on say Gareth Barry... but guess who gets most stick?
-
Is ten lines the minimum level for acceptable debate?
No not at all, but sometimes you need a few lines to explain what you mean. Hamstrung does it through pictures, bless him.
-
Shut the fuck up rashid, Hamstrung's a damn good poster and if you had a humorous bone in your body you'd enjoy life a lot more.
Show me his posts where he has debated for more than 10 lines - find it!! Even I have posted pages where I have tried to put my view across - show me his. He is the one complaining about "debate" but I don't see much of it from him.

I don't look like a prick about Crouch at all, I said he wasn't good enough long term for us and I have been proved right. I think Barry is good enough for us, but we have better here already and he would be 4th best CM at the club at £18m - what a waste. See I managed to do that without acting hard beacuse we all know you're a fanny deep down don't we?
Is our squad that much stronger than last seasons?

Keane is a much better player than Crouch, and Dossenna has a bigger reputation than Riise - other than that I think it is quite the same. But the players will be one year older and more experienced. My main concern is that we haven't improved the wide areas.
