1. Magic Sponge knows. Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard a brilliant combination. Who can forget the classic... Heres one from Gerrard and her "band" Dead can Dance... Beautiful voice, haunting music. Some great calls on this thread!
2. Just trying to drag out the last few hours in the limelight. Once the next games come up nobody will care a jot for Mansfield Town, their chairman or his gold-digging wife. Tomorrows fish & chip paper and all that. On Sunday I did fear the worst about this weeks media agenda, but I think it's been nipped in the bud by the responses of the majority of the football community, ex-players, Mansfield's manager and John Champions reprimand. Still have the aul cunt's PC this week to come though!
3. It's even making its own headlines, on the BBC and other internet sites. This can only be a good thing as its blatantly obvious to the world what a contentious appointment it is.
4. Just had a look and the comments are up to over 1200 now. Only looked at the first page and most of it is a row between posters about LFC and Man United! I think prompted by the appointment of Webb for Sundays game. I had a look at the "house rules" and honestly believe it would be hard not to contravine them in some way, certainly some of the comments I read I would consider at least offensive to someone (scousers mostly). Joke the BBC are sometimes the way they pick and choose what articles you can leave comments on. Nothing at all wrong with your comment Funnneeeee.
5. Spot on, end of discussion. It's up to the officials to disallow the goal. After all the shit decisions we've suffered from this season, I'm shocked at some of our fans looking to take the moral high ground on this. The media shitstorm already being whipped up only because of who the player involved is. The only downside is the timing with our next game against them cunts. I can just imagine the aul red nosed cunt planning his press conference this week!
6. And there in lies the difference. Picture quality is as much dependant on the processing as the actual display. Have to admit I'm a bit of a Sony/Panasonic snob myself, tend to think you get what you pay for in the long run. My dad replaced a 5 yr old 26" Panasonic with a 2012 32" Samsung. The Panny had every connection you would ever want, the new Samsung doesn't even have a headphone socket!
7. Ok, so the card holder is a third party in this? Messy. Are cards not supposed to be registered and verified on Paypal before they can be used? I know when I first signed up I had to wait for a code on my statement before able to use the card. I would have thought that in a case of fraud like this, then the card company takes the hit. Seems a bit unfair for you to be picking up the tab for this. Easy option I suppose for Paypal, who seem to be very biased towards "buyers". If I were you, I'd politely tell them to do one and they can take you to court for the money.
8. I'm a bit confused here? How do you owe paypal money if someone bought something on ebay? Did this person actually buy something and then claimed it never arrived? Surely if this was the case then the buyer gets back the money they paid you (via paypal) in the first place. You , of course are out of pocket for the value of the item, so how can you also owe money?
9. I think the FA have finally realised what a cash cow the social media network can be. Got to pay for Wembley somehow. They probably have some knob trawling Twitter looking for something that could "bring the game into disrepute". Of the 100's of tweets made by people in the professional game every week, they are bound to find something. Hell, Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand could be worth millions during a season! Also, do the FA not need a complaint from an "injured" party any more to act as judge, jury and executioner any more? Although unlikely and without any knowledge of Enrique's sexuality, I would love it if he told the FA that he actually was gay. Actually, thinking about this a bit more, are they actually calling Enrique a homosexual with their verdict?
10. What an excellent article! Have to admit that modern products have made a lot of guys lazy. Repped.
11. I'm no fan of Samuel, believe me, but he makes some fair points there about modern "defending" at corners/set pieces into the box. It's been getting steadily worse over time. Our own Martin Skrtel used to make me cringe sometimes with his shirt pulling etc, but less so these days because he is only doing what every other team is doing and it's blatantly obvious that referees will not give penalties for this In fact, they invariably seem to give a free kick against the attacking team. How many times have you seen jostling and stuff go on before a corner or free kick comes in, the ref either spots this or one side or the other complains, he speaks to said parties and as soon as the ball is delivered he blows up for a free kick to the defending team! On the Screech incident, obviously a quick acceptance of guilt was a mitigating factor, but still 3 games does seem a tad lenient. And Halsey should be embarrased about the other incidences, but we all know he's an incompetent fuck anyway.
12. I think his head may have exploded Scanners style.
13. Bloody hell Fuge, you forget your happy pills today?
14. What's wrong with Coe? A worthy winner of Lifetime Achievement. Beckham won this 2 years ago? Fucking hell, talk about style over substance!
15. I do, we were well and truly robbed in that match. Totally dominated, goals disallowed, penalties not given and they scored from one of their rare attacks. You're right though, it does mean a lot more to the South American sides, always has done.
16. These people really embarrass me sometimes. But it really is a tiny minority on both sides that like to engage in a bit of 'Peeler Bashing'. Not surprising really when they've been brought up on "violence seems to get you what you want" for 40 odd years. Symbolism means a lot here, and I can sort of understand a bit of peaceful protest, but fuck me over a week of this! Always wrecking their own areas too! How thick is that? I live only 10 miles from Belfast, but it might as well be a different country. Most of us are more worried about day to day living concerns.
17. Yep, looks like a humdinger of a front coming through Friday/Saturday. Anyone else think that yellow warning area on that map looks like a .........thingy? No? Just me then.
18. I do believe that paedophelia relates to "prepubescent". 14 or 15 yr old is older than this. Not condoning anything like! I think all this BBC stuff is getting a bit silly now. Seems to be a licence for any woman who was looked at funny in any way to go to the police, who are duty bound to follow it up.
19. I'm not a postman but...... Bit of a grey area but I think the general rule is that dogs should always be "under control". So especially in built up and public places they really should be on a lead. I think the law is actually changing soon to be more specific, when out in public a dog should be on a lead, end of. In your situation above, you were definitely in the right. Don't know how the police would react to dog and owner in the canal bit though!
20. Wouldn't hold my breath KL. I tolerated the dodgy PS3 port, but Bethesda were not going to get any more from me for DLC. Didn't think it would be this long, and I know that the PS3 can present difficulties in architecture, but there is no excuse from any developer worth its salt for the delay so far! If they can't hack it, and it certainly looks like it, they should just 'fess up about it. I can't believe that they managed to get out a, albeit extremely buggy, PS3 version of the full game and can't release a smaller add-on?
21. *nods* Amen brother! Indisputable fact is that an Ulster Fry and A Full English Breakfast (to use full titles) are, albeit closely related, different beasts.
22. Seriously????? You've never heard of a Yorkshire Pudding? I'm also from NI, it's only a few hundred miles from Yorkshire, not the other side of the world. Oh and it doesn't belong on any type of cooked breakfast.
