  1. This was always foreseeable. The "I Drink Your Milkshake" from There Will Be Blood strategy. When there's a threat to their dominance they just slurp it up and take it for themselves. Strengthens their own position and decimates the only team that could live with them temporarily.

Hopefully we're far enough along with Alonso for it to be moot. But then again you'd hope he doesn't see himself as the guy who just steers the team that wins everything by default 90% of the time. Like Guardiola does.

Ha ha, you could well be right about him, I have no idea about his track record as an ‘expert’ to be honest.

Still he describes Henderson’s limitations or lack of contributions in exactly the same way as many on here have been doing for years. Make of it what you want.

For me, and this has been done before I know, I definately agree about a lot of it. Still I can’t completely ignore his contributions to our success while here. Most of all down to Klopp’s ability to build a functioning unit and getting the best out of every player I reckon.

Probably, but he's 33 and has played abar three games in a new team. What was the bloke expecting? Peak Davids?

Didnt take long for the Dutch to call him out. Interesting read actually, as it’s exactly the same things many on here has been pointing out for years. (Put it through Google translate)

Willem van Hanegem has spoken out about Jordan Henderson's services for Ajax so far. The Englishman made his debut for the Amsterdam team against PSV (1-1), but did not stand out very much at De Kromme, he says in the Willem & Wessel Podcast. - Advertisement - "Should I, like everyone else on television, say that he is so good before I have seen him play?" Van Hanegem wonders. "He's just a very mediocre player. That's all it is. What he showed against PSV wasn't that special, was it?" De Kromme hereby agrees with Valentijn Driessen, who was previously also critical of the veteran's actions. Driessen was extremely critical of the midfielder. "Yes, he ran his mouth, played the traffic policeman and clapped his hands, but for what or who actually? He showed no initiative on the ball, played to the right color, but more backward than forward and once over the halfway line the new number 6 did not see any options ahead. And that in the Eredivisie, although against PSV, but not at the level of the Premier League. What poverty.

With all due respect, Willem van Hanegem can fuck off, the curly headed old fuck.

We deserve much more credit than that. All the other 5 year olds had fucked off and we were the only two responsible enough to stay in class.

Hang on! You better not be counting me in that.

    a) "You wanna do the pod?" a full 45 minutes after full-time can't really be classed as me skipping class.

    b) I always like to defer to you boys who've actually been at the match anyway because it's better that way.

    c) It was my frigging birthday and we were in Islamorada paddleboarding in the ocean. It's not like I was sitting around scratching my balls and watching Gladiators.

    d) I was about to defend you two for a really brilliant and funny episode that I thought was well better for not having me wrangling and interjecting to move the chat along. But you can sod off now.  Nice job, Julian.

Motty was even weirder than he sounded:

Back in the days when John Motson was king, they never had to worry about what the talent was up to. It was only junior employees who did.

Such as the younger female colleague who accompanied Motty to lunch one time. Most of the meal passed without incident, but shortly before dessert he retrieved a blue pill from his pocket. He showed it to her and asked if she knew what it was. She did. It was Viagra.

He then swallowed it, with the charming line: "You have 20 minutes to make your decision."

    The fuck is that from?

I think they are quite determined for Roman to break Hogan's record and make him the longest reigning in modern history. Only behind Backland amd Samartino

That would mean he holds till Sep 11th.

The bloodline thing and Romams constant push as longest champion  has been boring nearly a year. He's part time and you know what's going to happen with the only time you think he might lose bring wrestlemania. Anyone that believe Sami or LA Knight would be him were kidding themselves

I don't understand this fascination with Hogan's reign. It's only the third longest. Bruno and Backlund were both way longer.

  7. Glad to have him gone from the NBC Sports coverage. That constant emoting was just too much. The theatrics are just about manageable when we're the subject of them, but when you concede a goal or lose a game and he's coming out with that insufferable pompous shite it just makes things way worse. Makes you want to throttle him.

Plus that thing he does when a team is building up an attack... AND Mo Salah, AND Darwin Nunez, AND Cody Gakpo, AND DIOGO JOTA...

    Fuck off, Pete.
